  1. The thing i like most about it is the lack of head banging that many Vekoma inverts are famous for. I actually dont mind the long lines. Its actually pretty fun being right next to the ride seeing all their faces on it. That chews away alot of the boring standing in line imo.

    Slingshot

Ya I went past that one in Orlando as well. I'm sure they charge you a hefty sum of bling bling for that as well.

I would think that, when it opened that the popularity of the skycoaster prob went down. Wouldn't that also mean they dropped their prices to 'compete'

Hey I know a pretty off topic question here since no one really talks about the extra paying attractions there. On TV i saw that slingshot at another park and it just looks sweet. I never really looked at the one at PKI because i'm usually too busy riding everthing else. I checked the site and found out it is a hefty $25 for it. So, for anyone that has ridden it b4, it it worth the $$ or should i buy three hot dogs with the money instead
  5. It would have to be one huge inversion as the forces would be so strong. Well then again TTD goes straight up after reaching 120
  6. Eh sorry, its just I go once a year and live about 5 hours away and having one of my fav rides not working makes me mad.
  7. Pfft ya i gues i'll take everyones word n' think another 6 weeks till it opens again
  8. Who knows maybe they are saying that from a smaller kids POV.
  9. Well most chances are a highly highly themed ride (Kingda ka is not highly highly themed) will not go the 120 + mph that a lot of you want, which is the only way a ride is thrilling to you. First of all that would cost way too much. Imo i think their next themed rollercoaster will be something not too far from the speed of IJST. If you look at rides really themed like this (ROTM and Rockin Rollercoaster, none of these rides go past 60 and i just dont see them building a mega fast high themed ride any time soon) I do feel that they do a great job with the theming with the money that they have as no park will have the $$ like Disney or even Universal has on theming rides. O yeah, sounds weird but I think Star Trek would be the next themed ride they would bring. IDk why but o well .

Is the ride really that bad off that a major park like that doesn't have the $$$ to fix it? Wow i guess that thing would be a whole new experience if all the props worked.
  11. Lol wow idk wat to believe now....... three days to six weeks hahaha idk if ne one knows what they are thinking there or maybe they just wont tell us.. o well...
  12. Well heres another example of a friend of a friend thing I heard that most chances it would be opening this sunday.....(dont yell at me for tryin to spread rumors as i'm not even positive of this )
  13. o well hopefully not 6 week i'll die
  14. lol 6 weeks? what source was this from
  15. Time for the lunch break to be over
  16. ^That's great for you, gburn, but what about the people who don't find it as thrilling as the major coasters there? Thats plenty fine, just like earlier said, if you dont think its thrilling enough for any of you dont wait in line as it will be a shorter line for us.
  17. Actually, that (just a guess) sounds exactly what it would be. I mean you (dont know the speed) go through the tunnel not too fast because you will get more speed when you hit the splash down thingy. I'm sure they didn't want to have a huge boost there as lil kiddies would fly out of their seat.
  18. I'm either going tues n' wed of next week or wed and thurs of the following week. I have never been there in July. How do you think the crowds will be?
  19. Yes I know the most of us are in the age where the only good rides are thrill rides. I love huge rides, like most people my age (16) do. But i also tend to like less thrilling rides as well. I know this is a little off topic from what the last few of you said n' all but I actually find this more thrilling than the highly rated mummy at Universal and rides like this are the types that set this park from the other 'everyday' parks. I guess i was also lucky to have ridden it when everything worked as well. This may not be the fastest ride but its just as much fun as the bigger rides here or at any park. The theming really does help the experience, working or not lol. (by the way I did not feel that last lim boost either)
  20. Please Please Please be open for tuesday
  21. I know its still an educated guess 'n all..but cpl weeks?
  22. Ya i'm sure they made maintenance for the mechanical parts of it easy, hence the platform up there
  23. Who knows, well i guess they were still working on it today cuz noone said anything new about it.
  24. Alright just saw the movie on tv and, without tryint to spoil anything for people who havn't seen it nor do i want that either but, how close is the show to the movie if not any similarities?
  25. well actually a fat person went on the ride and when the ride was going full swing one direction the motors couldn't make it up all the way n' thats y one of the gears got screwed. didn't take a genius to know that
