  1. I didn't like the ride when it was TRTR mainly because of the part where you were left with your stomach pressed against the restraints facing the floor for several seconds.

I did like it when I rode it last Saturday at RWCW. Yes, the lack of a theme was lame, but I enjoyed the overall program of the ride.

Based on what's been said here, I will likely be skipping The Crypt on all future KI trips.

  2. Having worked in a parking garage for nearly two years now, I can't see KI getting one, mainly due to the amount of traffic they see each day. It would just make the parking situation worse. The elevators to take people up and down would be ridiculously crowded on busy days, and there would be a ton of congestion once everyone left. In addition, there would be more operating expenses - mainly due to the additional electricity needed to power all the lights and the elevators in the garage.

  3. This place is being overrun by felines! First Violakat, then kittenpooh kitten, and now Kat! I'm going to have to leave soon, 'cause I'm allergic to cats, you know...

But seriously, glad you had fun, and welcome to KIC!

You can add my sister (who recently re-joined) to that list... katnappurr

  4. I definitely agree that food prices should be lowered. While I love Skyline, I'd be more likely to leave the park and drive up to the Skyline up the road (near The Beach) than to eat at the park because it would save me more in the long run. I can get two cheese conies and a drink for under $4 at a normal skyline. I don't remember how much that meal cost in the park, but it was more than $4.

I think the first place to start would be overhauling Festhaus and turning it into something that reflects Cincinnati's rich German heritage. I realize that CF doesn't like theme parks, but many other eateries in the park are things you generally won't find outside of Cincinnati.

  5. There's a sign at DBack that says it all - "Preferred seating not guaranteed". It mainly comes down to how busy it is. During the ERT and last rides this past weekend, they were letting us choose where we wanted to sit. However, every other time I've been there, they've been assigning rows to you (eg they tell you which row to get in).

  6. Just for the record, that offer is good now through June 30th - not just this coming weekend. I'll probably wait until it's a bit warmer and then hit the park. I also want to make it to one of their Dive-In Movies this year (for those not familiar with the park, Dive-In Movies are when they put up a big screen at the far end of the wave pool and show a movie while you get to relax in the pool).

  7. Saw this on The Beach's website and thought I'd post it here for anyone who's interested...

  8. I think what we need in Boomerang Bay is a good water coaster. We've got enough slides as it is, and while Tasmanian Typhoon is fun, a water coaster would be a great addition. The Beach has had one for years...

  9. I don't understand the reason for the passes either. I realize they don't want large groups going into the SRL and then expecting to sit together, but it's the responsibility of the guests to pay attention to the signs. If you can't figure out that "single rider line" means your group will be split up, then you should have to live with not being able to ride with other members of your group.

My sister and I went through the SRL together twice on the 2nd, and nobody said anything. We both ended up on the same train both times, but we weren't even expecting that.

  10. I'm not sure how easy it is for them to modify the ride programs. However, all we'd really need to do is convince maintenance to come out, flip it into manual and "accidentally" leave the trim and MCBR brakes open...
