  1. I still think they should just get rid of Launch Pad (EuroBungy) and stick a small classic ride up there instead. I'm not sure how much room they have, but they could even flatten it out if they need more room. That queue line is too long for a pay-to-play attraction.

  2. On Saturday right after we got off the train, I was standing there taking some DB shots with my cell phone (I'd accidentally left the memory card for my digital camera at home and didn't feel like leaving the park to hit Kroger or Wal-Mart for a new one). A random guest walks by, sounding like he knows everything there is to know and explains that if we want to get some good pics of "the Firehawk", we should go further down in Rivertown to where the final hill is, and that it shoots up a huge rooster tail of water (as if we didn't already know that...).

  3. I heard another John Fogerty song the other day (besides "Centerfield"). I think it was "Long Dark Night", but I don't remember.

Was it "The Old Man (Is Down The Road)"?

Don't think so. It was one that I wasn't really familiar with.

  4. I know they also replaced the fins on one train on Saturday. As we were standing in line for The Beast walkback, a couple of maintenance guys came by carrying a toolkit and two fins from a DB train.

  5. What about the music videos played in the queue for DBack? Every time I've ridden it I've heard one of about three songs - "Without You", "A Baby Changes Everything" and a hip hop video by a female artist (not a huge hip hop fan so I don't remember what that song is).

  6. I never thought of that, but it would definitely save them a lot of labor if they just give them away deflated. They could inflate one of each style to put on display (so people could see what they look like when inflated), and give them away deflated. They could possibly even make a small profit by charging to inflate them as you leave the park.

  7. I wish they'd just give them away deflated. That would put an end to all the annoying "bounce! bounce! bounce!" all the time (although it would also spoil the fun of trying to stick my foot in the path of the ball, thereby causing it to roll away and causing the owner to go chasing after it - something I was actually successful at once...)

  9. Just when you thought that game prizes couldn't get any worse than basketballs, KI has found a giant crane machine with giant bouncy balls as prizes. These balls are basically the same as the red playground balls you may remember from elementary school - only much much larger, with various designs on them. I'm not sure how many of these machines there are, but one is located at the entrance to the Coney Mall arcade, near DDR. I haven't seen too many of these balls around the park yet, but they're definitely more annoying than basketballs, especially due to their size...

  10. Not sure about the graffiti, but cleaning up the used gum in the final tunnel on Racer would be quite a chore in and of itself. Still, it would be good to see it gone. To prevent that from happening in the future, they should put cameras back there. Then they could fine people for putting their gum back there, and deal with the graffiti "artists" as current park rules dictate.

  11. Having ridden Diamondback 19 times this weekend, I noticed a couple of things on the right side of the first hill:

A safety sign along the stairs saying something about "In case of evacuation ..." with an arrow pointing towards the top of the hill.

A weather gizmo of some sort at the top of the hill.
