  1. Report: Latest incident due to broken wheel: http://baltimore.cbslocal.com/2017/05/30/jokers-jinx-incident-report/
  2. Well over 20, possibly even 30-something. We went once a year for a long time when I was a kid and I've had a pass every year since 2009.
  3. Even when that place was a Dippin Dots stand it was rarely open. I'm not sure why it isn't open more often.
  4. My sister is at the park right now and said Soak City is currently closed. Anyone know what's going on?
  5. I used an app on my phone called SoundHound to identify it Sent from my LG-H820 using Tapatalk
  6. I saw it happen first-hand, but it happened so fast I don't have all the details. I'm not sure what started it - they were part of a group of kids/teens running around near the Action Zone entrance. I have no idea what started it, but someone flung a half-empty bottle of water at another person (presumably a friend of theirs?), who flung it back at the first person. More food was thrown after that, including ice cream. It was all over within a minute but I'm assuming someone from Panda Express called security about it as a security guard and KI Park Police officer showed up a few minutes later. After talking to the people in question, they made them leave and also made a couple of other kids put chairs from the patio back outside.
  7. It appears that the train soundtrack has changed this year. I heard the following songs today: "Ghost Riders In The Sky" by The Outlaws "Theme From The Magnificent Seven" by the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra "Rocky Top" by The Osborne Brothers "Surfin Safari" by The Beach Boys Another couple songs that I was unable to identify In addition, the end of the ride is now tied in to Mystic Timbers (I won't spoil it beyond that for those who haven't experienced it yet).
  8. I really need to make it out to that park this year given that it's only 3 hours from me. Maybe I'll do a late-season trip like I was planning to do last year.
  9. I rode King Kobra several times. It was a regular for my dad and I on family visits to the park as a kid. My only visit to Kentucky Kingdom as a kid came one year before Chang opened and I never made it back down there again before last year.
  10. The engineers wear typical train engineer outfits - overalls and matching caps.
  11. Found a minor issue with polls... When I chose the appropriate options in a poll and clicked the button to vote, the poll disappeared entirely instead of just refreshing to show the results. I had to refresh the page to get it back.
  12. Some of the songs I heard at KI today: A cover version of Michael W. Smith's "Friends" "We Are The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything" by Relient K "Fireflies" by Owl City "Uprising" by Muse
  13. That's My Coke Rewards, a reward program which is being discontinued (it goes away for good at the end of June). On the topic of new things, Zephyr got new seats this year. Instead of the small wicker seats with cushions, they're now larger black plastic seats. They're more comfortable and seem to be roomier. I didn't get a picture of them though as I was in a hurry (last ride before I had to leave for work).
  14. I've gotten two rides in on Mystic Timbers so far (once last night and another one early this morning). I love the ride and the roomy cars, though the shed was a bit over-hyped in my opinion (although I do love "Cars". As a music buff it's interesting to note that "Cars" was released the same year that Beast opened (although it wasn't released in the US until the following year).
  15. 2 1/2 years later, riders stuck on Joker's Jinx again... http://www.fox5dc.com/news/local-news/248441128-story
  16. I had the broken ad appear again but wasn't able to reproduce the issue. I did take a screenshot of the ad and generate an HAR file if you're interested.
  17. I don't see such an option if there is one. Looks like map view is still a work in progress. If you choose map view for rides it doesn't give you anything other than the map either.
  18. That's similar to the ad I saw when running into this issue. If it pops up again I'll try to get you the details needed.
  19. It doesn't appear to be due to AdBlock or similar. I've run into it twice recently - once at work (no adblock at all) and once on my own computer (KIC is whitelisted). If I run across it again I'll get the URL so you can look into it further.
  20. Also, you can get a regular map by going to one of the ride category pages (under "Play" in the menu), then click "All Rides" and "Map".
  21. If you zoom in on the Google map you can see the locations of all the rides and such (double click to zoom in and double right-click to zoom out if you're on a computer)
  22. Now I need to rework my vacation plans as I was hoping to stop there on my way to Knoebels in July. I may try to squeeze Kennywood in instead.
