  1. I always thought this was a cool ride. Kings Island could use another good shuttle coaster (face/off just isn't fun)
  2. I think it is a huge mistake to charge season pass holders $16.99... It used to be included for free when you purchased a season pass for the next year in advance. I probably won't attend because it's not worth $17 a person (when I will have already purchased a 2006 season pass) - to then also pay for parking - and pay for ice skating - and then food. I also think that this will flop because of the season pass charge being so steep.
  3. I drove by surf cincinnati last weekend to check it out (since I was my first job - cleaning pools before opening when I was 15 years old). There are a few reminants around, but mostly everythign is gone. The wave pool looks terrible. If someone were to reopen it, they would have to completly rebuild everyting (except for maybe the wavepool and restroom building). very sad to see
  4. I am a former employee - i guess like 8, 9 and 10 years ago. (made it to ast. mgr first year - manager after that) I was never told in training not to share information that guests wouldn't otherwise know, but like I said, I worked there 10 years ago. --- The anoyances I have with current employees are those the ones that physically get in your way when you are walking somewhere. This happened to me twice 2 weekends ago. 1) keyhole photo when entering the park (They used to be outside contractors - don't know if they still are - I assume yes) 2) 2 different games workers physically got in front of me to try to get me to play their games. I'm not talking in jest here - and I'm not saying the EVERY eomployee does this - but 3 different people did this to me in a 4 hour park visit. - and I was anoyed, if not slowed down. For the most part (95%) the emplyees do a great job.
  5. to answer you origional question - Skylab was a great ride - used to be one of my favorites and I'm sad that it's gone.
  6. my opinion -- is that the speed of the ride is too fast to catch the scenery (also making the ride way too short). I would have slowed it down about 5mph (brake at the top of the helix)
  7. I have to say that Rock 'n' Roller Coaster (Disney MGM) (rnr website) provides a full experience from start to finish. As much as I love Kings Island, Paramount always seems to be a step behind Disney in the theming.
