Wow, . It talks about wrong parking prices, H-B Land still being around, the park randomly not being open June 6th? (that's a Tuesday) it could be correct, but I doubt it.............not a very well-informed article.

Uhh.......you don't count Hydra and Patriot as massive coasters. I'm definately not rooting for a CF buyout but, it's not like they're that neglecting in the ride department........just theming and atmosphere.

Yeah I was just counting the 7 parks, I excluded the separate water parks from that count. There are two separate Knott's Soak Cities and the Castaway Bay, right?

It seems to me that a company with 7 parks would'nt have the money to aquire 5 more and still be in the same finacial position. I could be wrong though, and they could have the money, it just seems highly unlikely to me.

But they would also have to earn back the money they paid for the parks, which would definately take some time. I have to agree with many others though too, I doubt CF has the money for all of them.

Wow! I like the new paint job on the old Huck's Hot Rods ride. It took me a while to figure out what it was at first. What are they calling that ride now?

I completely agree with Skippy and ragerunner. CF would NOT be a good thing for PKI or any of the Paramount Parks. All the atmosphere that we know and love would be gone. Plus if Cedar Fair did purchase all 5 parks, they would have 12 parks. More parks means less attention to each park per year because of less money. I myself hope for a private company to buy PKI. That's my opinion anyway, I could be wrong about their money situation, but that's how it seems. On a more humorous note, can you imagine what CF would name PKI's more themed rides? TRTR = Cave: The Ride, IJ:ST = The Stunt Track, Top Gun = Crazy Airplane. j/k Seriously though, what would those rides become?

I was looking at PKI on Windows Live Local today, and came across this clearing of dirt between Racer's turnaround and Beast's break shed. I believe this picture was taken during late '03 to early '04 since BB is still under construction. Link (You may have to move the map screen to see it.) So I wondered if this is something that is already built back there, or something they use for Fearfest or what? Any help would be appreciated.

Wow, it would be pretty cool to have Universal or Busch own the park. So long as it's not Cedar Fair though. There's nothing wrong with them, but I like the theming that Universal and Busch pull off alot better than Cedar Fair's. Besides that it would make CF in control of all three of OH's major parks.

Ahhh! Why can't I download the bigger version off the park's website. It's not working for some reason. Edit: I got the small version to work. It looks like no Crash Course Boating School, sadly. The rest of the attractions look like a nice expansion though. Yay for some new news!

I find it interesting that they're keeping the Quick Draw's Railway entrance plaza thing. Does anyone know if that will just be an entrance to one of the new rides? You can tell they're making progress though; that circular ride platform thing looks new.

Jimmy Neutron's Atom Smashers is the new name of the old Boulder Bumpers. The picture in the very bottom right of all the pics on pki.com has a URL the says the full name of the ride also.

Uhh, since when does Vekoma build hypers? IMO PKI doesn't need a hyper/giga coaster right now. Maybe in the future but right now it seems pretty hard to theme something that large. And since that's what PKI wants to do, I don't see it happening anytime soon. Now what I think would be cool though is a 100-150 ft. B&M dive machine. And since the Addams Family theme fits in with this it wouldn't be as unlikely as the giant unthemed coaster or something with a "Beast" name.

An impulse would be a complete waste of space. Do you realize how empty it would look if they did that? And like FOF1996 said, The Vortex isn't leaving.

^I didn't say I didn't believe everyone that said that; certainly I don't believe everybody, but I don't believe no one, either (and that's not supposed to be a double negative). Oh, I also think it's kinda funny how you think I know what's coming. I just like to think logically about what different people have said and try and guess if there's a meaning behind it. What about Craig Ross or the people who run Paramount Parks, Viacom, ect. Jeff and Maureen aren't the only two people who know what PKI is getting next year. No offense, I was just pointing it out. I do believe that there are some people that know about these things. Although I do start to wonder sometimes when people say. "Oh man I wish I could tell you cause I know the new attraction......but I can't". I just seems to get a little repeatative sometimes. *sigh* all we can do is wait.

I voted for the only option. In all seriousness, I would vote for IJ:ST.

I realize that this may be the case, (hence the Theoretically and ). But nothing is for certain yet and all we can do is guess. I'm still holding out for any sign of a possible CCBS ride next year.

I noticed this a while back on one of my old SFKK maps. It is a common picture though. Oh and don't bring more geometry to my mind right now.

Hey, wait a minute. If Blues Clues isn't a new ride, that leaves Crash Course as the possible 6th ride. Theoretically at least.
