Hey. Long time no post. This year I noticed there are less gas lights on International Street, why did PKI remove those lights, and when did they remove those lights? Octoberfest used to have unique flags, they have been in Octoberfest for a long time, now it's long gone. Why did PKI remove those unique flags, and when? PKI definitely removed a lot of things over the years. Derek

- International Street which features the Eiffel Tower, food/shop buildings, and the beautiful Royal Fountain. - The Beast, and many other rides. - The park's atmosphere, landscaping, and theming. - PKI is my favorite place to go, and it's also my favorite park. - Great feeling before entering onto the Kings Island Drive. I agree that the Eiffel Tower, Carousel, Flying Eagles, K.I.M.V & R.R., International Street, Royal Fountain, Beast, Beastie, SOB, Racer will never leave the park. What about Monster, Scrambler, Shake, Rattle, and Roll, or Dodgems? Derek

What days and what hours are the job fairs at PKI? I'd like to be a ride op. then I'd have to get there early (like 9am or so) so I could pick any ride I want to work on, right? Derek

Will they keep the pedestals? I really hope that they do keep them.... I really like the pedestals. Derek

I couldn't find the "Electric Rainbow" ride that used to stand by The Bat's station in the 1981 pic link above... was it there in 1981 or was it removed before the 1981 season? Derek

The Royal Fountain getting a facelift, hmmm... I really hope they keep those blue/white pedestals. I think they should replace all water jets and put the new ones where the old ones used to be, and maybe they should replace the machine for the fountains. As for the new lights on the fountains, they could replace the old lights and put the new lights on the fountains. Who knows... we'll see what happens next year, though. Derek

What about the original logo, are they going to bring back the logo? Derek

I was wondering will PKI ever bring back the original KI logo? I LOVE that logo, I miss it. Anyway, will PKI do some infrastructure or captial improvements like re-paint rides, buildings, etc for 2003? I think the Eiffel Tower needs to be painted because Vortex just got painted and it looks good! Derek
