  1. I think they need another attraction in X-Base before they legitimately need to put bathrooms over there. Walking to Vortex, or to the end of Coney Mall is not really that far of a walk for bathrooms IMO. I'm going to have to agree that, Planet Snoopy is in need of another bathroom before X-Base gets.

  2. Its too bad they sold off KI's old monorail. Yes its dated, and yes its old, but boy that would be an easy addition to help traffic flow. Would it be big enough to travel the causeway? No, not at all, but you could make it longer.....or there is the option of just building a new one :P

That's my bit on the future of the parking at CP. However, bus's are probably the easiest fix at this time, and the most likely to occur.

  3. The funny thing about this is, that Spongebob 3D wasn't removed until 2011, the best thing I have ever witnessed at Action Theater, I really don't care for Dinosaurs 3D.

You obviously never saw Days of Thunder ... or need I say James Bond tearing up the screen.

  4. As I have stated here before, I went to Kentucky Kingdom 33 times in 1998, and I lived three and a half hours away.

I, too, want Kentucky Kingdom to succeed. That being said, I think this latest effort is nothing more than a political stunt on one side, and an attempt to make a fortune by selling out the park (again) on the other. Both sides have long histories of this.

One definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result:

    * The location hasn't changed.

    * The politics of having to deal with the Fair Boatd hasn't changed.

    * The undercapitalization hasn't changed.

    * The poor operations hasn't changed.

    * The poor marketing hasn't changed.

    What has:

    * The park business has gotten a whole lot tougher.

    * People have less disposable income.

    * School calendars are much less favorable.

    * Expenses, including labor and insurance, have risen dramatically.

    * The park has gotten a bad safety reputation, largely from the Six Flags Drop Tower incident (so new management installs one!?!)

    * The new park's lender, the ONLY one willing to lend for the park (and even it refused to lend the requested amount, this WITH the loan backed by the Commonwealth owned park real estate--a luxury Six Flags never had here) is being sold to a large out of state bank--likely taking prospects of future additional finacimg with it.

    What may change:

    - With the Kentucky Kingdom reopening being very politically unpopular in rural Kentucky, there is a good chance it will be a central political issue in the 2015 Kentucky Governor's race, plus those for state house and senate seats. If the Democrats lose, it may be watch while Katy bars the Kingdom doors...

  5. No it's not. LeBron means a great deal to that area of the state even when he was with Miami.

^and that's fine. I know a lot of players in different sport venues that mean a lot to cities, and I think that's great! I was not stating the fact that I hate LeBron, because I dont. I was stating the fact that I hate basketball, and renaming a ride after someone just seems dumb and pointless to me. If you create the ride tailored to that specifics person's name, that's one thing, changing a ride that's already had a name just for publicity is something else entirely, again to me. That's my opinion though, which, in no way shape or form was I trying to convert your opinion, and I apologize if it came off that way to you or anyone else on the forums.

  6. ^Beware - Off Topic:

I feel like you were about to go into a Top Gear rant,

    "Some say....."

    On Topic:

I really do hope to get to visit KK sometime this summer, but I am with Shaggy in the fact that I hope when I go it's not busy. I want to marathon Lightening Run as well.

    Edited for mistakes.

  7. Bring in RCT bridge builder tool. One minute and you can have yourself an elegant wood covered bridge. :)

That would probably work out well, only issue is the entrance to X-Base is already a choke point nightmare. I feel that would only make it worse having an immediate left from the entrance.

Couldn't agree more. I don't think there was ever an intention on expanding beyond FOF at first. They could....maybe,,,expand the X-Base entrance further back towards the lift hill of The Racer...I'm not an architect. Maybe a walkway between the games buildings to the additional entrance? (I'm sure that idea will go over well with some folks...LOL! :P )

The only way I see it working with an immediate left is if we shorten the exit of Flight of Fear(where the photo booth is) which, technically, could be done. I don't think they will though haha, and it will still be a choke point even with that, just a much lesser one.

In all honesty though, as I have said many times, the next (bigger) attraction we get will take place in that great big box of metal in Rivertown.

  8. Plenty of room for flats between The Racer, AE and FOF.

That would certainly open up that area a lot and I would enjoy that, but, as I stated above, would you consider it an expansion of Oktoberfest or of Coney Mall?

I would look at it as an expansion of X-Base with perhaps a minor walkway around the end of The Racer. Keep in mind that (as has been already discussed) at the end of The Racer and AE is a pretty big drop in terrain that could prevent any kind of access from that end without major terrain adjustments. Bring in the RCT terrain raising tool.

  9. I would say an expansion of Oktoberfest. And we just started off the 2014 season 4 weeks ago, and we art already trying to figure out 2015 haha. Enjoy Banshee for a while! She's new, she's fast, she's a "dime". Let's wait until mid season or during the fall to start talking about what's coming to the park. (Unless there is something clearly going on for something in the future).

I am certainly happy with what we have, but I don't see debating, or wondering, what will happen next as an issue :)

  10. First many flats added, and a refurbishment of Oktoberfest:

.I would love for them to expand Oktoberfest, like anyone else who loves that area would, but I just don't see it being feasible. A refurbishment of the things inside Oktoberfest is already underway, (see Festhaus and Viking Fury concrete) but part of me would just like to see more for that area. Expanding it to the right of Adventure Express would be nice, but it wouldn't exactly look right with the big Flight of Fear building in the background for the theme, if we are still considering it a theme.
