  1. At some point in the future, or not, Disney could decide to halt the existence of the Marvel characters at IOA. Exactly right but, until they do, I still see Marvel going to other things involving Disney, before Disney World gets any Marvel rides.
  2. I believe I waited over 4 hours total, including outside waiting for the gates to open.
  3. I suspect Disney World will be one of the last to get Marvel. Why? Because its rival that is very near already has a Marvel Land, of sorts. Maybe its just me, but I feel Disney would want to offer something different than what the competitor is already offering.
  4. You guys have so much time to catch up to us aging oldies, and I'm not even old, but compared to you young guns I am.
  5. Now that we have driven completely off topic, let me bring it back around. What is your guess on the wait time for Banshee on opening day. I.e. - what is the longest wait time throughout the day?
  6. Sometimes, it's necessary to go off in tangents to put emphasis on a point. As is the case here, when we are talking about trademarks, capitalization of name brands and or companies, and the improper placement of each. edited for a spelling error.
  7. As far as the grammar topic goes, on things being capitalized or not, I can see the points on both sides. When I first joined this site, way back in 2005, I posted without any specific attention to spelling and or grammar. It is then that I first ran into the man who goes by Terpy. He explained it in a matter that made sense. So, after stubbornly removing my ego, I followed suit. I don't remember everything he said word for word, but it went something along the lines of: This is a community that likes to use correct spelling and grammar, and a way for everyone to learn from each other. That being said, please make sure you check and double check your spelling and grammar as we want to help teach everyone and not let this site run off on a tangent of incorrectness. While I can certainly agree with all of that I also understand the minority of capitalizing specific words. While I see the grammar police side, I also have parts of me that does not think of it as being a big deal. As long as you are naming said company, whether you capitalized their name or not, is better than not at all IMO.
  8. The sign will, more than likely, not go where the circle was. It will be near the line entrance.
  9. Like I have said for over a year now, I honestly believe the next flat will go inside that big box thingy over in Rivertown. Mark my words.
  10. Final piece of the last loop being installed as we speak. Edit - I somehow missed Upstop's post.
  11. As with any site, things will be edited and changed upon further information being revealed, and or that information is no longer relevant. Or, in this case, a phony story that was changed due to the nature of the story being incorrect, that's not to say that it wont change again either.
  12. Son of Beast talk has made its way back into this topic .... again.
  13. That will probably be more of what the General Public will call it then anything.
  14. I haven't been to WDW since I was 10. I need to change that soon. I tend to go to Universal every time.
  15. I'm just going to call it a Batzel to any JQ Public I here talking about it. Just to throw people off. You know, start some rumors and stuff, I'm fun like that.
  16. ^understatement of the week.
  17. I have never been to either, but I hope to change that this year. More than likely Williamsburg, but we will see. .
  18. Maybe they think they wont need as much time to build it
  19. Do we, as a cumulative group, think the opening day line for Banshee will be longer than Diamondbacks was?
  20. I would only put it through the belt when I was going to ride a ride, after the ride I would take it back off. Its was a simple fix, that costed nothing.
  21. If they will hold souvenir cups as they once did for Firehawk, then that's fine. Everything else I bring with me fits in my pockets. If not, then they can expect to make a LOT less money on drinks from me. Because I'll drink water before I'll pay for a locker. I agree. My wife and I bought a souvenir bottle last season because we liked the 99 cent refills. However, if we can't take it on Banshee or leave it in the station then we will skip it this season. By the time you factor in the price of locker rentals, that 99 cent refill becomes less and less of a bargain. That's frustrating a bit. I also recommend wearing a belt. Although I am not sure of the exact rule on this, last year I went to Cedar Point and bought one of the souvenir cups. I attached it to my belt (ie. i put the handle of the souvenir cup through my belt, as though it was a loop on my jeans) and no one said anything to me about it. Now, I apologize if that is against the rules and policies, but if it was I would have hoped someone throughout the day would of said something to me about it. Just a thought.
  22. Batwing Pretzel Stand in the making on this, page 116, the Banshee Construction Progress thread.
  23. I say good riddance. I am a Pepsi lover, I hate Coca-Cola.
  24. Maybe we could get a few animatronic tumbleweeds that could blow across the pavers every hour in Rivertown. You know, solidify the western effect.
