  1. Like me! for instance haha, you all looked like you were having fun...I wish I had run into you guys a bit earlier, I was by myself all day. But that means SRL and less waiting
  2. I walked on The Beast last night at about 5 til eight, we made our lap and should've been the second to last train, but when we got back they let us go again...that was the last roller coaster I will ride as a teenager...I'm getting old...
  3. That may have been you that I kept meeting in line ...I was wearing a Danville baseball shirt...
  4. I was walking through Action Zone yesterday, and two employees were walking through the crowds with full cash tills. I thought this was very daring, and not something I would want to walk through a crowd with...I saw some later in Rivertown too, but they had them in cases where it would be harder to steal from... There has to be a better system for transporting money than walking it around in plain view in the park...
  5. My first thought after getting off the ride was that it would be fun as a floorless...not that it's built to be one, but personally I would enjoy it "floorlessly"...
  6. I use DBack when I'm texting...otherwise it's Diamondback. But I think it sounds cool for a roller coaster, it does sound dumb when referring to people though.
  7. That it is...why did your response inspire me to spoof a movie?..."Look he's heading for that Jeep!...That's no Jeep...That's a Land Rover..." Wow I'm a nerd.
  8. That's the most clever thing I've come up with all day...and I get picked on cuz it was a Land Rover... But alas, you are correct sir, it was indeed a Land Rover.
  9. I don't know...we could park a UPS truck outside where the Jeep used to be/is? and call it "Brown Box:The Ride"...
  10. Maybe they'll package it up in a nice box for us...
  11. I usually don't say anything, unless I'm involved in the conversation, or I know the person...I always feel kinda weird correcting random strangers . Or if they are blatantly wrong and are going to negatively affect someones ride experience by misinformation, i save the day.
  12. Can I get mushy and say rather than quotas I just hope to create new and exciting memories to savor for a long time to come?...Especially since this is the first year I'll have a license and a job at the same time, and can get there more, with people besides my family...
  13. and smoother! The retracking made all the difference. That's the first time in a long time I've noticed the fun in the helix rather than thinking about the crap getting beat out of me...It seriously changed my perspective of the ride, in the past I thought of it as kind of an old has been, "it used to be good, but now it's rough and old". This time I got off thrilled and very impressed, I can only imagine it without brakes...
  14. I think i saw you several times throughout the day...did you have your name written on duct tape?
  15. I told myself not to get my hopes up on The Beast, but halfway down the brake run i started to get a little excited...until the very end where that unfortunately familiar feeling of deceleration took hold...
  16. That's ok, I told my dad repeatedly that the angle of descent was 78 degrees...until I opened the map that I picked up on the way out and was promptly reminded that it is actually 74 degrees... I'm waiting on someone to mention overhearing me...
  17. I'm 230 and had no problem...It all depends on where the weight is, if it's in the gut then that should be no trouble. People with bigger thighs are the ones having difficulties.
  18. Keep using technical explinations like that, and you may be mistaken for a general park guest..."Lets go ride the flippy spinny thing!"
  19. I'm probably just imagining things, but FOF felt a little rickety...I don't remember all the rattling and banging, but that's probably just me...It also felt faster, but I'm sure that's from not riding for 3 months. I also can't believe no one's mentioned the new track on The Beast...I rode a little after 10 and it was heavenly. When I rode it in the evening, I made the mistake of riding over a wheel, there were so many people I just jumped in, but even though it was rougher it wasn't unbearable. KI did a good job on that one.
  20. I didn't envy the Dback crew at all saturday. But you guys were great.
  21. I had to bite my tongue while waiting for The Beast Saturday, the guys next to me waiting for the front of the train (I was in the "back end" lane) were talking about SOB. One said they took the loop out because there was a small accident. I was thinking, "hmm this could be an intelligent conversation I may have to join in..." until he said, "yeah, the track where the wood met the metal loop separated and the train fell off, a bunch of people had broken backs!" And the other guy was like "that's not what happened at all, it derailed and got stuck in the loop so they got new trains with bigger wheels..."
  22. Each end of the train has it's own "perks" to offer. I rode in rows 2 11 and 13 yesterday, the front gave an amaaaazing view, and some decent air. But for the best air, the back is where it's at. The trip i took in 13 I was almost forced into a standing position. Also, try riding with your eyes closed, I'm not sure what made me do it, but I tried it, completely changed the experience.
  23. It does lol, maybe i'll get out this weekend and finally meet y'all...why am i posting at 4 am when i have a class in three hours?
  24. It's interesting to see just how far we've come over the last couple years...I've seen this site go from a nice place to come and chat about coasters and parks to a pretty close knit community, even I who haven't participated much and have yet to make it to an event, feel like i have a place...yay us.
  25. It's against Ohio law to disobey the posted rules, and one of the posted rules is no loose articles which includes cameras.
