  1. Sad day...sort of...I can't go now, I get out of school on the 8th, and have to turn around and report at Cedar Point on the 11th...which happens to be my birthday...There's no way I could come home and then turn around and leave for the summer again with no preparation...
  2. Thanks, it all makes sense now...actually it did before I just didn't realize it, the vocabulary involved threw me... And regardless whether it's finance or econ, I should probably still pay attention.
  3. That makes sense. I guess if I paid more attention in Econ class...
  4. Ah. So what would make the lenders want to accept less than what they were expecting to get? Other than quick cash?
  5. Call me a nOOb if you want, but I think I'm gonna need a bit of an explanation...please? It sounds significant.
  6. Yup, I went and looked it up too. It was an amazing show in person.
  7. That could be true...^^^ but you heard it too!!!^^^ It's not just me. I'll be sure to tell my psychologist about this in the morning.
  8. I swear it was here when I posted that...It has since disappeared. So I'll post it again, sorry if I'm just blind and missed it.
  9. You mean you *aren't* supposed to stand up/climb the fences/anything else the brilliant public has come up with?! Hmm. A stunning revelation.
  10. *gasp* Children doing unsafe things?! What a terrible world...I hope they at least disenfected the bars and sanitized everything first....ahh the good old days.
  11. On a couple of side notes... The song at the end (about 3 minutes onward) is the closing piece from a drum corp show, I can't remember the name of the song, but it was the end of "On Air" by the Phantom Regiment. That pretty much made my night when I recognized that, I know I'm lame. And also, I never noticed how the Eiffel Tower pops up directly out of the center of the second lift as you crest the hill. That's really cool, I wonder if that was done on purpose? Or sheer luck?
  12. Maybe if you had the internet you wouldn't have been so silly as you would've been pre-occupied with roller coasters and...such...
  13. Have you ever imagined what it would be like if we had the internet back in those days, and got to sit and watch things like The Beast and Vortex go up like we do now? Oh the conversations we would've had.
  14. I wish KI provided housing like Cedar Point...those of us in middle of no wheres-ville Indiana are out of luck.
  15. That's true as well, but I doubt anyone will go more than once except myself...I could get one for my family though, they wouldn't go more than once or twice either, but five bucks is five bucks. However, I just realized my logic is flawed anyway, it's 94 a piece, I feel kinda dumb now. Oh well...everyone else will just have to make do with 20 dollar tickets from kroger.
  16. There are few things that I would happily get up at 230 and drive 2 and a half hours to get to...This is on top of that list...now to actually put 50 bucks together at once...Or "go for the gold" which would require more scrounging of money. Being on a college budget sucks.
  17. Thanks. I think I'll just go the single route and buy a ticket for anyone I take with me, as none of my friends are as nuts as I am. They'd only want to go once or twice.
  18. I'm looking to buy a Gold Pass for the first time this year, and I was wondering what the difference is between the single adult, and the 4 or more pass. Obviously the single is for one person, and the 4 or more is for families and such. However, my question is whether it's for 4 specific people, or if I can pay 5 dollars less and bring along friends?
  19. I think the most annoying case of line jumping I've ever seen has to have been last summer while standing in line for Vortex. There was a boy right behind me, he couldn't have been more than 11 or 12, and his mother or other older female family member was 20 or 30 people ahead of me. She spent the better part of ten minutes yelling at him to "get his a** up here." I commend the fine young fellow for refusing to cut in line and telling her to come back to him, until she threatened that they would go home after their ride. Talk about a fine lesson to teach your child. Line jumping in and of itself doesn't bother me as much as it probably should, I know in the end I'll get up there eventually. The thing that really bugs me is the fact that people just expect everyone else to deal with them and have no sense of courtesy or respect. I refuse to line jump because A: it's against the rules, and B: I couldn't stand the thought of people I don't even know thinking of me as one of those people.
  20. True...but unless you have some of those spare shiny nickels, it's unlikely a random person can outbid entire companies....
  21. Once in the Double Helix on The Beast, my dad's sunglasses started sliding down his nose, and he kept smacking himself in the face trying to push them back up. I always feel like I'm gonna lose stuff on Firehawk, even with my cargo shorts, I always wind up riding one handed with the other hand holding stuff in my pocket whether it was really going anywhere or not.
  22. 4 months ago, i filled my Ram 1500 up for 89.00...it was 35.00 the other day!! and then it started going back up again...sad day.
  23. When I went to MGM a couple summers ago on a band trip, we rode Tower of Terror, and one of my friends had a bookbag with him (why? no one knew...). But as there was nowhere for him to place it before the ride, he put the seatbelt through the strap and away we went. He got a lesson in the laws of gravity that day, by way of that bag flying up and hitting him in the face on every drop, and crushing some certain parts all the way back up. His picture was priceless, all you could see was this bag hitting him in the face.
  24. Be happy your done over there on the East side...Cuz over here in the West, they just started, and it's here to stay for awhile. I don't even bother going all the way in to get on 465, I get on 70 in Plainfield and cruise in that way.
  25. Too bad I live two hours away and my drum set isn't worth putting back together and dragging it to Ball State. Drumming in a KI show would be a lot of fun.
