  1. It would be nice, but it's not going to happen. They have no reason to spend labor on putting it up, or the electricity to light it. *sigh*

Relatively easy installation and essentially not a lot in the electrical cost when you consider it as advertising and community good will.

    Sorry for the double post

However, they don't own the pieces to it anymore. They were sold. And I would agree on the easy installation except for the "new" star they bought for it!

  3. Experience isn't always the most important thing. Availability, the will to want to learn, and an extremely good work ethic are more important. Plus, wanting to get into the field also helps. Just know that you will start at the bottom, and will need to work your way up (just like anywhere else). It is important to know that there is a lot more to be a tech than just running 4-5 shows a day. There are always opportunities for more experience like concerts, special events, 4th of July, Haunt, etc.

  4. Back to Labor Day weekend......Remember up until last year there has been the 3 day cheerleading event at the park that always drove attendance way up. I don't remember how last years crowd was, but without the cheerleading, I would assume at least Action Zone was a less crowded place!

  5. I am in need of a good picture of the torches outside of TRTR (since I don't think they have worked since it has been Crypt) actually working. I am really look for a good dusk/night picture. If anyone has one if they could post it or PM me with it I would appreciate it. It is for a client that is looking for something similar.

  6. That building is an eyesore, and has been under the "destroy" order many times, however something always seems to save it. The last time I heard they were talking about using it as a small maze for haunt, but then they bought the new big building.

  7. Amazing that no one has mentioned what they did to the ride platform. They have reduced it from 3 rows to 2, which is only going to help with the performance of the ride. Past that I love the new program. It is much better and faster than what we had before.

  8. And there could be several reasons for that. It could be that there was some sort of structural issue (ie water damage, or rot) that was cost prohibitive to keep that pre-facade set of columns on KI`s theater.

DING!DING!DING! We have a winner! That facade was in terrible shape. The carpenters spent hours each year before the park opened trying to fix bad spots and paint the peeling paint again!

  9. I think, like most companies, that they will begin to look at GREEN options, with new additions, LED lighting, signs, etc. However, I wouldn't expect a giant overhaul of the entire park. It is still very costly to do these changes. And yes, they save money in the long run, but it is still a big original expense!
