  1. 60 degree angles? The walls sure seemed pretty square and at 90 degree angles the last time I installed them. Huh. Know what you are talking about before you tell things that aren't true.
  2. While I agree that the Hollywood music will be ending soon, I would doubt that you will see that change by the park opening. In fact, I would guess that we will see a lot of the same old Paramount things (Paramount Story, Paramount Theater, Etc.) as the de-branding will continue into the future.
  3. No...long missing as there hasn't really been a kid's show in the past 3 or 4 seasons.
  4. As for the nick theater. I wouldn't look for it to return to it's former glory. They will be adding a stage and some seating (not stadium) for a small show. It will still be nothing like it was, but at least it is an added and long missing kid's show.
  5. The tower was changing colors last year at the end of the season on non-FFest nights. I am sure it will be changing colors every night when the park is open. And the lights you are seeing on at night are NOT the new ones. The are the old floodlights. You wouldn't be able to see the color lights since they are only on the front side of the tower.

    Coming Soon !

I think you will find out about the show program earlier than that. I would imagine that it will be announced with the 2007 product since the show program is already set and work has begun.
  7. It says right on it that the parade will be there from June 11-Mid August. Guess we won't be seeing the parade this season!
  8. And why again would it need expanded? Just because it is a smaller restuarant that won't seat a ton of guests doesn't mean that it isn't the right size now. For example think of some of the table dinning resturants at Disney parks. Some have less than 50 tables. But one main difference is the food and the experience are top notch and that is why they are always full. That is what really needs to happen to make the IR work. You have to have a great menu and a great staff and the rest will work itself out. Plus wouldn't it feel nice as a guest to be one of the "select" group that got to eat there that night? Just my 2 cents worth.
  9. As for GWL. Yes, people were checking in yesterday. They have given away many rooms this weekend to city workers in Mason. I believe it is kinda their dry run.
  10. They are held in the Paramount Theater.
  11. I would assume that they are still working on the show program. You can always call the park and see if they know.
  12. Actually, auditions have already begun for the 2007 season. There are posters around the park with the dates. They will hold auditions at KI on Saturday and Sunday Novemeber 11+12. And yes, if you audition and they want to hire you, they will place you in a show that you are best fit for. Don't forget they also hire for the parade (if it is coming back), technicians for the shows, and characters. They usually do have a second round of auditions in February.
  13. Has anyone else noticed the Great Wolf Lodge sign? It was installed sometime this week and at the bottom of it is an arrow pointing into their area with a sign for the Kings Island Campground. Has anyone heard, is it returning?
  14. Problem with fog is that it is 95% depenedent on the weather. If it is too hot or too windy there will be little fog. Cooler weather with little wind and maybe a bit humid equals great fog.
  15. Well I would imagine since we have seens signs of an attraction there and nowhere else that this is the most likely place for it. It will probably be the same as last year, but now with an actual name and theme.
  16. except for the sound system sitting where the fearzone was last year. And the fogger? You are right....but I bet you it will be there on Thursday!
  17. Monster Bash will be a live song/dance show....similar to Graveyard Shift probably.. Look for a newly themed scrooge's house at Starbucks!
  18. At last check you needed to be 16 to work in a maze for Fear Fest. Some of the day attractions they were hiring 15 yr olds. Check with the Entertainment department.

    resturant

What's funny about this is that it was open for Winterfest and I never saw more than 2 people eat in there. Why would they open for the summer? Plus I think it was almost 27.00 to eat ribs and chicken in there.
  20. Nights of Fire will be 4 nights this year. July 1,2,3,4!!! Hope that helps.
  21. Never go by the maps, they are always filled with those kind of mistakes. It is half the fun of a new season to sit and stare at the maps and find the mistakes, like the train going the wrong direction. To make the train go the other way there would be so many things that would have to be changed. Think about when you sit in the car on the train, there is a rail on your right side so you can't get out of the train. If it was going to other direction, you wouldn't be able to get into the car from the loading station. I don't think that this park would spend the extra money to make the train go the other way! That picutre looks to be taken at WWC up where you got off the train for this past seasons FearFest, and if that is correct then that would be the correct direction for the train to be traveling.
  22. One thing about the foggers. They are so dependent on good weather. Perfect Temps, low wind, high humidity. The first weekend was perfect for it. This weekend too windy. Plus you also have the problems with GFICs tripping with the damp weather.
  23. The list is WRONG....that IS Canada........trust me....there are some changes but not all that were listed. Watch for more changes in the next 2-3 seasons.
  24. The octoberfest sign was removed after it was hit by a contractor's vehicle in the park, before this season. I do believe that it happened in one of our great snows.
  25. There are at least 2 new floats....Dora and Danny Phantom
