Oh a picture on The Beast will be bought for him. He is starting a nice collection of ride photos. You can also ask him how many days it is until we are there.He has told everyone he can tell from his teacher.the school janitor and his bus driver ... lol He will start this weekend i am assuming to tell strangers and the grocery store. i just can't wait myself now ... let the pacing begin .

Yeah we have no plans on leaving him outside alone on Tomb Raider. ..As far as The Beast he is plenty tall enough and super super excited to ride ... i mean like annoyingly excited at this point ... LOL the haters don't bother me eveyone is entitled to their own Opinion . And as far as IJST ...thats one of the ones he is super stoked for as well. I am sure he will like it . The beauty is that he is so young he has yet to really become to cynical about ANYTHING...

I know a lot has changed since my last visit in 96...But i am so stoked to be coming back to one of my favorite memories of childhood. Once or twice a summer we would make the trek from Chicago .I am now looking forward to making this great park a part of my child's life ... whether he likes it or not .... I am sure i will be posting more as the days draw near ...i am super stoked ....

Born and raised In Chi town ... lived in Raleigh NC for a while ... now i am in the Mountains of NC i know my heat dry and MOIST (i heart that word) LMAO @200% humidity. My Grandparents had a farm in Southern IN.. and yes the midwest humidity is different but really anything over 90% i hate ... Woofer... Dry heat in Atl...LOL..?? Freakin humidity in NC is always about 90-100% in the summer almost everywhere i have lived . Both sides of our Families are now in TX Dallas/ft worth. I hate the heat hence why we are in the Mountains .. I remember being a little kid at KI and just being wet and sticky . i used to always think those poor people in those suits must be miserable.

Ok any of you with kids or who have done the park with kids ..... ..We are able to ride most coasters with our 7yr old.( We broke him early .. LOL ..) For rides he is not tall enough for yet he usually comes through the que with us . We get him over to the exit to wait there for us or like for the Borg one of us goes through the line when we get close to the station we call the other and then we go up to the exit and the operator lets the one ride while we wait then the one gets off and then whoever was waiting goes in through the exit and rides. they do this because no one is allowed to cross the tracks on the borg. MyQuestion is this finally on the rides at PKI how does this work ???...he is not tall enough yet for Delirium Face Off Flight of Fear Tomb Raider: The Ride We have doen the you ride while you guys go elsewhere and don't mind but some rides We like to ride together if at all possible. OH yeah ..and the Shoneys across the street has an all you can eat breakfast buffet ... Bulk up early ride late ...

Subway is gone ...oh well that stinks . We were going to go this past weekend to Charlotte but we did not we prolly won't go down now until after our trip to PKI . As far as eating before you go in and after ..i suggest the mexican resturant across the street over by the Motel 6. Excellent Food and cheap beers. Also may i suggest leaving for lunch . There is a Wendys across the street. A Bojangles down the road , a KFC ..and like i said our favorite for at least the last 5-6 years is the Mexican place. They let you leave and renter the parking lot as long as you have your receipt they will not re-charge you . And also if your up for a little stroll you can walk to Wendys... its a stroll though and on those hot Carolina afternoons it sucks to walk ,But it can be done.

DO they still take pictures at PKI? We moved to Biometrics last year at Carowinds . Except for the little ones (i think under 9) .it is safer but a little creepy that they can scan my finger and tell its me .

Yes we are well aware of the Nick Universe as we are season Pass holders to Carowinds. Ours Changed over a few back . I remember HB land though from my childhood and teenage years . I have a Photo of me with the elephant and the stung out dog from Banana Splits right by the front entrance near the tower (i am thinking from 1976) . We spent many a summer week in HB land and am sad that i wasn't able to get my son there before the change . I see they changed The Beastie to the FOP coaster like Carowinds changed the Scooby coaster . That is a Shame . Tom thanks for your info as well . I am anticipating a great weekend ,Just for the sheer fact that it has been Almost 10years since my last visit . Super stoked ... just can't wait

Thanks... we are playing around with the idea of staying at the ramada or the hampton just because of the indoor pool . The motel6 being 25-30 $$ cheaper a night is awesome . We are just torn. Zosobeast how far is that in real time driving from the park. Google maps says about 13minutes . Any idea ?

Hi ...been way to long that i have graced the grounds in OH . My Family is coming up Easter weekend . We need an afordable and close hotel. I have Been looking around and have made several reservations (ramada . the motel 6 in sharonville. the laquinta .) I was wondering if any one had any other insight . Like i said afordable is key . Mom and Pop places are fine, does not have to be some corporate entity . So any info// tips would be welcome . I am going to take my son on The Beast for his first time and I am stoked .I rode it opening year way back when with my mom . I can not tell you how excited i am to be coming back Home ... THANKS
