  1. Why does lipstick on a pig come to mind? ..... WooferBear running for the door! When you say "that area", you mean Nick U area, correct? After spending darn near 2 hours in the Howl-O-Fest area this past Sunday, I seen lots of HB but not a single Nick to be found. Hmmmm.... What he means is that Nick Universe is doing fine at ...... Mall of America!
  2. Banks are failing world wide. If that ain't the tank? I don't know what the tank is.
  3. This specific show has been redesigned to be able to be performed in arenas. It originally toured in the Grand Chapiteau. Delirium has been the only touring show that I've ever seen in an arena. There is a big difference between the two styles - but even different - there is nothing like a Cirque Show.
  4. You are right. It's like Whitehouse Spokesman. You don't expect them to come out and say what the President does not want disclosed.
  5. You've hit on the only bad point of the show. I think that all Cirque shows should be seen in the Grand Chapiteau. If you have never seen these massive tents, they really are a wonder in themselves.
  6. Come on Boddah, even you have to acknowledge..... If Nick were a property that CF wanted to continue long term that they would prominently display and list it in Howl-O-Fest ads. It's a no brainer and speaks volumes.
  7. Anyone that has the chance to see a Cirque show should take the opportunity. I know that I never miss any Cirque show when it comes to Atlanta. No matter how many times I've seen any given show, I'm always amazed. Honestly, there are no better performers/acrobats or touring productions in the country.
  8. Key wording, in the board meetings. Yet discussed in many other ways and meetings. Get your fill of Nick while you can because CF will not spend the kind of money that Viacom will be looking for to use the Nick Characters. I will be glad to see HBL return and maybe the addition of everyones favorite Beagle... I had actually thought that the return of HB items & characters were not realistic. It seems more and more that it will be happening. With the absence of Nick being included in any kind of advertisements (of late) it seems even more realistic. And If you look at the Howl-O-Fest site, there is no mention on Nick. (There is Scooby, though.)
  9. I hope that you're wrong. I find it hard to believe that CF is not foresighted enough to actually discuss these issues prior to the occurence.
  10. Gas? What's Gas? WooferBear ....... Still in Gasless Atlanta ....
  11. Negative Ghostrider.... Many (especially employees) will remember the bring a friend free day the Sunday before July 4th in 2003 in which there were 60,000+ in the park. That is about the number that the park sells out at. If that is so, then the park was crazy for allowing 60K into the park. We would budget (normally) for 30K-38K on a normal/busy Saturday. When I was at the park, the park full signs would be put out when the park were at or nearing 40K+. To allow 60K+ is not only rediculous it's irresponsible.
  12. Judging based upon what it looks like in a park is very deceptive. You have to look at the attendance through the course of the day. You have to remember that the numbers fluctuate greatly throughout any day with people coming and going.
  13. It would be awesome! That way, we could operate just like much of the UAE operates. Most of the citizens not needing to work and receiving a check from the government!
  14. Ahhh, if the US could only ignore human rights concers and use what would be considered slave labor. Ahhhh!
  15. If ya have the chance to check out Netherworld, it's quite amazing. Really like no other Haunted event around. Be prepared, though. They bring in thousands every night. But, it's cool waiting in the lines as that is "part of the event." .... WooferBear will be in attendance October 22. <G>
  16. And don't forget, it now has a "Western Themed Area" that it never had under any of the previous owners!
  17. Yup, and as one that has been to parks all over the country.... WooferBear does not sit on the rails. Honestly, if you're that out of shape that ya can't stand in line for a bit, ya need to hit the gym.
  18. Still Out of Gas Well, after pretty much being stranded this weekend.... WooferBear went out early this morning searching for gas. After searching for about an hour, I found a station with gas. Then waited for an hour in line. Soooooo, can actually go to work tomorrow.
  19. Darn, you beat me to the punch! Not only did it serve a purpose, but is also quite creative.
  20. Agreed. We know that Boddah is going to trumpet the astounding and amazing experiences. What has really surprised me is the lack luster reviews that have been posted. Personally, I would think that the reviewers are being as harsh on the event as Boddah is shining rainbows around. Based upon the photos, I think that some of the reviewers may be a little spoiled in their views and may have some unrealistic expectations. Again, from the photos, it seems as if the event has been put together very well.
  21. The quality and level of attractions that Dollywood gives us never fails to amaze me. If you had asked me back in 1986 if Dollywood would be a park that set the bar, I would have said never.
  22. Pretty Good? I'd hate to see a review of something that ya really hated.
  23. Well, I understand not postponing. The Alabama v Georgia game is a huge game. In fact, college football in the South is like no where else I've seen in the country. It's a huge part of life. The issue is that many of the people that come from Alabama will stuck and stranded here until Monday or Tuesday they say.
