  1. As are society becomes more book ended with young children (families) and Baby Boomers I think the parks that create an environment that will service these two groups will financially prosper. To me these parks include, Disney, Bush Gardens (Sea World), Silver Dollar City, Dollywood and Kings Island. While these parks (including Kings Island) will build thrill rides, they are learning that good theming, ride variety, food and shopping will be what attracts a major customer base over the next 20 years +. What are your thoughts on this?
  2. I have been to Kings Island, Indiana Beach, Canada's Wonderland, Kings Dominion, Busch Garden (both), Holiday World, Cedar Point, Six Flags (St. Louis, Great Adventure, Great America, Georgia, D.C., Darien Lake), Worlds of Fun, West Edmonton Mall, Disney World, Universal Studios, Island of Adventure, Sea World, Dollywood, Oryland, Ect... But, outside of Universal, Disney and Busch Gardens I really think Kings Island has figured out the right formula for success, now and in the future as america grays. I still think they will build thrill rides they have just learned that people want a full experience when they go to a park.
  3. I visited Opryland numerous times and found it to be one of the best theme parks in the US. The Screamin' Delta Demon was a great bobsled ride and very, very well themed. The Grizzly River Rampage was a great river ride and the Old Mill Scream was on of the first modern day Spillwater rides with great rock work to make it look like a mountain. The Walbash Cannonball was the first looping rollercoaster I ever rode, I like how they greased the track to make it go a little faster. Chaos in my opinion was one of the best indoor themed rollercoaster ever. The music was great and so was the special effects. The other thing I remember about the park was the great shade and really good logos for their rides. I still have the chaos shirt. Nashville tourism took a hit with the closing of Opyland Theme Park and from what I have read never quiet recovered. But, I have read that the City is actively trying to get someone to build a new theme park. Hopefully it will have a section that pays respect to Opyland. Build a new version of the Screamin' Delta Demon and I will be there.
  4. Has anyone heard if the new NU area will include a Nickelodeon Kids Show. Like Playhouse Disney at Disney MGM. They have the old enchanted theater next to SDHC.
  5. If Kings Island wants the NU area to move them closer to a Universal or Disney experience the SpongBob Attraction will need to NOT be a revamp of the waterplay area and indoors. Ride or No Ride.
