  1. If you guys look closely in the background of the Thunder Alley Demolition photo, you can see one of Adventure Express' tunnels! That view definitely looks much different!
  2. I will agree that 2011 was way better than 2010, but it still just wasn't my favorite. I don't hate it, but it could be so much better if they did something like that out in the woods, instead of attempting to create lame fake woods. Also, it is pronouced fay-tal. When you say the "tal" say it as if you were saying the name Al, but with a t sound infront of it. I think that's how it is anyway
  3. I thought Mysteria was cool, not necessarily scary, but it was neat! 10 times better than Death Row. I think Holiday Horror was my favorite Haunt last year. It was so good! My least favorites have been, Wolf Pack and CoRnStAlKeRs. Madame Fatale's sounds really cool! The fact that it is called "Cavern of terror" makes me think that they will be keeping The Crypt stone walls throughout the line. I could be wrong though
  4. Maybe the employee meant in Flight of Fear. I mean, King Cobra's cars sat inside the spaghetti bowl for years.
  5. Well, I mean she DOES have a point. I know it has been a rule for several years ( I seem to remember them actually allowing coolers in the mid 90s because I remember eating in the picnic area by Swan Lake. ) They need to enforce it consistently. How do some people make it in with huge coolers, and other people can't make it in with little ones? It doesn't really make sense
  6. Great pictures! Sounds like you had a fun trip! I always love looking at your trip reports!
  7. Even if we don't get a new coaster, it will be fun to speculate like it was for Diamondback all through 2008 when it was being built. Like trying to figure out the name, and logging on to the website at midnight to see the teaser thing that scared the crap out of everyone. Good times
  8. I've noticed on a lot of other forums that people will quote another post to say they agree with it. Which is what I think he was trying to do?
  9. As others have stated, Maverick is the complete opposite of boring! Have you ever been on it? It easily ranks as one of my top coasters, just behind Millennium Force. I would gladly stand in line for 2+ hours to get on Maverick (which I have done several times)
  10. Yes, Delirium has reopened
  11. If by "some time" You mean 5 minutes, then yes.
  12. My ideal Action Zone redo would be them tearing out the water tower and area where the circular target design is on the concrete and putting in a fountain, or trees and grass, or both. Making Timberwolf a luminosity stage. Put an Intamin Blitz coaster in, with the station where the go-carts are, with the ride travelling toward part of the Son of Beast Area. Then, they should make a new area extending out to where the rest of Son of Beast is at. I made this on paint to show what I mean. Water tower area removed, replaced with trees. Neon green section would be new area of park, and I also used Maverick to show where I would want the Intamin Blitz coaster
  13. I want an Intamin so bad. Either an Intamin Giga or an Intamin Blitz coaster. I don't really want another B&M for a while, especially not another sit down one with no inversions.
  14. I would definitely put the line entrance in between the go-cart entrance and the Ice-Scream stand. The path by slingshot gets so congested, people tend to just stop mid walk and stare at slingshot, I can't even imagine another ride entrance being right there.
  15. I want an Intamin Blitz coaster so bad! I really do hope the next coaster KI puts in is Intamin and not B&M
  16. Although I am very sad to see Son of Beast go, I am glad that it is at least being torn down instead of sitting there and rotting for another 10 years. Now we at least have hope of a new area or a couple new rides being added back there in the future
  17. It really honestly depends on where you are sitting. I've noticed that from day one on Delirium. If you sit in certain spots, you feel like you have a tame ride. I think I remember reading on here a long time ago, that if you sit in the seats facing the ride op booth, you will have a more exciting ride, but don't quote me on that
  18. You honestly don't think the parents that drop off their kids for the day, so Kings Island will be their babysitter won't pay the price increase? I highly doubt it, I'm sure they would easily pay the price increase to keep their "babysitter" around. Also, I'm sure the higher ups at Kings Island don't mind it being "overcrowded", especially when the same parents that drop their kids off for the day, give them say...20 bucks to spend for the day.
  19. I remember them being there in 2009 also, because when my cousin and I went to the park to audition for Haunt they were there, and then when we went back to get our IDs made and paperwork processed they were there again. 2009, was the year I worked at the park
  20. I'm sure he was tall enough to ride. The ride ops wouldn't (purposely) let him on if he wasn't. He probably just bent forward or something? I don't think his height would be the issue though, since countless other people just meeting the height requirement have been on, and you don't hear about this happening too often. On a side note, my sister and I were riding Adventure Express one time and we had our hands up, and through one of the turns her hand bumped my nose, not even hard at all, and it started bleeding lol. They had to shut down the ride and spray down the train
  21. what was that composer's name? I know the tomb raider: The Ride preshow used to be on there as well

    What If...

The funny thing is though, both the themes of Top Gun and Days of Thunder fell apart and were basically removed by paramount in the later years! They would theme a ride, make it all elaborate and cool looking, then after a season or two, they started removing theme elements or shutting off effects. Also, when you talk about rides going "exactly where they are supposed to go in the park" based off of theme. Paramount destroyed the atmosphere of Coney Mall when they removed the Antique Cars and put in Italian Job (which doesn't fit coney mall at all). They also put Flight of Fear in Coney Mall, which doesn't fit either. I'm okay with that one though, because it is sort of separated from the rest of Coney, and I love Flight of Fear haha. They also took out a log flume in RIVER town and added an ancient temple...in what was supposed to be based off the early days of Cincinnati (Losantiville ) So, I would hardly say Paramount did the best job theming their rides around the park's area's. If anything, I wish Kings Island had it's original owners. You know, the ones that made it look like a Disney park, didn't take the cheap way out, and themed everything to fit in to the correct areas. Also, it seems as though Cedar Fair has at least tried to make the rides they built, fit in with the theme of each area of the park. When they added Firehawk, they called that little area X-Base. when they added Diamondback they made sure it at least fit in with a frontier town type of theme.

    What If...

Well 3/4 of the shows rides were themed after in Nick Universe were no longer even being made. The park would have continued to go down hill if paramount (CBS paramount) owned it. Tomb Raider was already not working properly long before the park was sold to Cedar Fair, the waterfalls didn't work in Paramount story before Cedar Fair took over. Also, I believe it was the manager of Kings Island who wanted Son of Beast shut down...therefore, it would have happened either way
  24. I know this doesn't have anything directly to do with your situation. But, while at Cedar Point I have witnessed people put souvenir cups on top the lockers or near a sign, or somewhere that would be safe for their stuff, and employees come by and throw them away. I don't really see how that's fair at all and it really ****ed me off. I can understand the park not being worried about them, but for them to purposely throw them away is rude
