  1. Well Cedar Fair does keep good care of their trains. Someone that works on the Cedar Fair rail road tould me that Kings Island can only run one train now days do to the cost of fuel. Also they are not sure if the Old Disney steam train can make the sharp turn at Kings Island. The old disney train runs on coal and is cheaper to run than the Crown trains at Kings Island right now.

The old Disney train is in the train barn next to MF.

  2. So what did Paramount have planed. Was FOF going to close and go to another park? I thought Cedar Fair would say something to get people to buy season passes, but it has been very quit at Kings Island.

Anyone know what Knotts is getting next year?

  3. So does anyone know what is really going on other than some paint and flowers? I think it might be something in the water park or they might move some rides around the park so it does not to crowed in one area.

Also when is Coaster Con next year at Kings Island?

  4. I wonder if he was talking about the water park. Well KECO can not be blamed for making the train ride show going away. Paramount took all of the people and old houses down after they got the parks. Well the train still worked as a show if you went to Winter Fest last year you know. If Cedar Fair did add something it would help out.

  5. Well lets see what they have to say about what happend frist. The might have to rebuild the area that wood in question is in. If the do just rebuild the area with the bad wood they should use steel supports. That why they can keep the cost down in the future if they what to.

I don't think SOB will be open for the rest of the 2006 season. Does anyone know when they will move the trains off the track?

  6. hat picutre looks to be taken at WWC up where you got off the train for this past seasons FearFest, and if that is correct then that would be the correct direction for the train to be traveling.

That picture was taken where the exit for Tomb Raider The Ride is today. Its the turn right after you leave the station and head back into the woods. When this picture was taken the lake around The Beast was still their and Rivertown was not so built up. So looking at the picture it has to be the late 70's or 1980's.

  7. Well looking at pki they don't have a round house so turing the train around counter clockwise would have to be for the hole year. Also the maps are wrong alot. If you look at the 1975 you will see 3 trains on the track.

Does anyone know it they will upgrade effects like they did for Winter Fest?

  8. New question:

I am thinking of getting two gold passes tonight. Which is the better way to do it, Meijer or online? A question about ordering a gold pass online. Does Kings Island deliever the season pass to you?

Meijer question. Does Meijer still do gold passes?

  9. I'd like to see a coaster with plenty of airtime and mostly hills. It seems almost every coaster coming out lately is mostly banked turns, hills that turn, etc. It doesn't matter if its steel or wooden. When you have hill after hill after hill and you get that nice floater going over the top of each crest, thats just divine! With the terrain around the park, why not build another coaster in the back where all the hills are and run it up and down, this would give all kinds of unexpected drops, with some being longer than others, oh, and have the first drop be a double-drop, that would be awesome.

Great Idea we will call it The Beast and open it up in 1979. lol

Another ride like The Beast would be great in the park also. Just hope the new owers think so.

  10. Hi Everybody,

I am thinking about getting a gold pass for my brother's 30th birthday and will proably get one for me and my sisters as well. Before I buy the passes, I have some questions for gold pass holders. My family has never had a season pass before.

    1. This year, are there going to be discount on selected foods and beverages?

    2. Are there Store discounts?

    3. Any other benefits?

    4. Can I use the pass at other Paramount parks?

    5. Do you that it's worth it?

    Thank you for your time,

    Monkey Joe

  11. I'd say there is a very good chance that the parks are sold and theat things are on a way to change.  Makes me wonder if IJTC at PKD will get debranded as well...

I think they had 3 more names before they picked IJTC at PKD. So it looks like all of new movie themed rides or shows got a name change before the park was to open to the public. I think they left all the tv show theme rides with the names they had alone. It sure does look like the parks have been sold and paramount is just going to run them for the year.

  12. Lets see we all know its not a water park or kids area. So other than some flat rides what else could it be other than the stunt show? Sure the new ride is already locked in and will get made for 2007. Wonder if the new owners will keep the name or change it like they did with Top Gun?

  13. Actually that's very poor business.

The idea to the marketing is to under sell it and provide more than expected.

People should always say "WOW, I Never Expected That!" Rather Than "Oh, What A Shame."

I have been saying what "Oh, What A Shame for some time. Well my sister really liked IJSC and she does not ride many coasters. A new reason to goto Kings Island for me.

  14. That sucks, why would you change the name of a coaster that was built as a Kiddie coaster version of the best roller coaster in the park? Just another example of how Nickelodeon is taking over everything. Whats next The Beast being renamed Jimmy Neutron's Rocket Coaster?

The Scooby Doo open with the park back in 1972 long before The Beast was built. The ride was later renamed The Beastie after The Beast opened. Also does anyone know what color the Fairly Odd coaster will be?
