  1. Nice trip report. As a father, I can really relate to it. I look forward to my son becoming big enough to ride the big coasters with me at KI.
  2. I think that I have around 10. Recently my son loves KI's park map and likes to carry it with him around home.
  3. Today I went to Kings Island with my 4-year old son. We dedicated most of our day to Nickelodeon Universe. We began the day with Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle. My son scored 60 and I scored 1,050 - the highest for both of us! Then we entered Nickelodeon Universe and my son rode Backyardigan's Swing-Along, followed by Jimmy Neutron's Atom Smash. We then rode Fairly Odd Coaster together and had a great time! Next my son rode Nick Jr. Drivers and Go Diego Go. After that, we rode La Adventura de Azul together. The mini-train ride was fun. My son then rode Swiper's Sweepers. We then rode Timmy's Air Tours together and enjoyed the view when the plane rode high. We then rode Nick-O-Round, followed by Little Bill's Giggle Coaster, and then ate lunch Central Grill. After that, we rode Plankton's Plunge together, which made my son giggle as we rose to higher elevations. Then we rode Lazytown Sportcopters. The lines wasn't as long as usual and my son enjoyed the less than exciting helicopter ride. Then my son rode Blue's Skidoo. We then rode Phantom Flyers. After that we rode Wild Thornberry's River Adventure. It was my son's first time EVER on this ride. We both got very wet. Luckily my son enjoyed the ride and I brought a spare set of clothes with us. After changing into dry clothes, we rode Kings Island and Miami Valley Railroad together twice, followed by an encore ride on Timmy's Air Tours. Due to my fatigue, we then went home. This trip was very special for several reasons: 1. My son did every ride at Nickelodeon Universe, except for the two coasters that he is too short to ride, and for the first time! 2. My son rode Wild Thornberry's River Adventure for the first time. 3. We son and I got our highest scores on SDATHC. Have a great weekend! Italian Chef
  4. It has passed $4/gallon here and it will soon hit $5 because our elected leaders do nothing while the oil companies continue to ravish the American people. Not only are these prices criminal and hurting consumers; but it is worsening the overall economic landscape. I'm surprised that the airline, automobile, and other lobbyists aren't in Washington demanding relief.
  5. Has anyone heard anything about the future of Nickelodeon Universe? If memory serves me right, the Nickelodeon license was for only 4 years. Hence, will it expire in 2009 or 2010? And what I wonder is whether CF will renew the license, expand the licnse to its other parks, or let the license expire and remove all Nickelodeon references from the former Paramount Parks.
  6. I have noticed more garbage cans and less litter since CF purchased Kings Island.
  7. Even if Boomerang Bay can control its water temperature, it may not do so 100% of the time. I've been to Great Wolf Lodge and CoCo Key Resort several times - and there were days when the water was warm and days when the water froze.
  8. All skinny chicks look the same to me. I LOVE FULL-FIGURED WOMEN!
  9. I like THE CRYPT better because it is original; whereas TR:TR was taken from a Paramount movie.
  10. Today I went to Kings Island alone with my son. The park was relatively crowded and there were many rides not operating because of employees still being in school. We arrived at 11 a.m. and rode Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle first. My son, who is 4-years old, scored 60 to my 660. It was the highest score of his life!!! Then at his request, we rode it two more times. Next we rode Fairly Odd Coaster three times. Then my son rode Blue's Skidoo alone. After that we had lunch at the Festhaus and it was neither delicious nor reasonably priced. We then rode Little Bill's Giggle Coaster twice, followed by Nick-o-Round, Plankton's Plunge, and Phantom Flyers. Then we rode Fairly Odd Coaster two more times. Then my son rode Nick Jr. Drivers three times, Jimmy Neutron's Atom Smashers twice, and Backyardigan's Swing-Along three times. We then rode Lazytown Sportcopters. After that, I bought my son a shirt at Nickelodeon Store and blueberry ice cream. We finished the day by riding Kings Island and Miami Valley Railroad three times! By then it was 6 p.m. and I took my son home. He fell asleep in the car as it was a busy day. I love riding the "big" thrill rides at Kings Island with my friends. But doing the small rides with my son is emotionally more satisfying. It's magical. Happy Memorial Day Weekend! Italian Chef
  11. I'm sure that without the amusement park rides, attendance will be down this season.
  12. Neither. I don't know who they are.
  13. I give the Red Racer a "10" on a scale of 1 to 10.
  14. I am father of a 4-year old, too, and I assure you that Nickelodeon Universe has a plethora of rides for your child. My son rides Fairly Odd Coaster, Little Bill's Giggle Coaster, Phantom Flyers, and nearly everything there. Best regards, Italian Chef
  15. Today was my 6th visit to Kings Island this season and I was determined to ride The Crypt. FINALLY! I rode The CRYPT! My friend and I got to KI before 10 a.m. and rode The Crypt - twice. WOW!!! I am glad that unlike Flight Deck, which was stripped of all theming, KI actually replaced TR:TR's theming with new theming. The ride was different and somewhat enjoyable. Next we rode The Beast, Vortex, and FoF. So far we faced no lines. Then we went on to Firehawk and waited 15-20 minutes, got on the red Firehawk and then had to get off because of some technical diffuculties. After waiting a while, we were transferred to the yellow Firehawk and rode it. Then we rode the Red Racer, shopped for family members, and went home. Best regards, Italian Chef PS - Didn't Firehawk used to be Superman before CF bought it from Six Flags?
  16. Unless I read the press release wrong, the Clown Band will return next weekend and only next weekend.
  17. Here here! I have said for a mighty long time that Kings Island needs a ferris wheel. Every amusement park should have one!
  18. If alone, I read my park map over and over again - and think about other things. When with others, I chat with them.
  19. It seems like you had more fun than me. I was there while the park was occupied by masses of students.
  20. Today I dropped by Kings Island around 12:15 after attending Media Day at The Beach Water Park. It was dang crowded! Even LaRosa's on International Street had a super-long line. The lines were so long that in the 1.5 hours I was there, all I did were Plankton's Plungs and The Eiffel Tower.
  21. Greetings, In today's Pulse Journal there is an article about The Beach Water Park's 2008 season. http://www.pulsejournal.com/search/content...608gobeach.html Best regards, Italian Chef
  22. Regardless of whether it's Coke or Pepsi, the park will over-charge for it.
  23. I'd really like an exclusive ability to live in The International Restaurant and work for KI's marketing department. Heck, I'd walk to work everyday.
