  1. It's an inverted diverson caused by an influx of power brought on by the higgs boson.
  2. So what you are saying is that Cedar Point gets Sigourney Weaver and KI gets Rick Moranis? I call raw deal on that one.
  3. But what if it was a hat or a brooch?
  4. I think it is really the new bathrooms for X-Base.......but that is just my opinion because I am a very diversifide individual. It also could be a roller coaster that is part of a show with a sign at the entrance that reads: "Break a leg". It will be the tallest wooden coaster in the world with a loop........oh wait, never mind.
  5. Move a little dirt, and add a fence with a cleaver saying and you still have a mystery or a diversion, either way I think we should all listen to the elf.
  6. Just curious, when did it become popular to put characters into parks? I'm guessing Disney started the trend, but I wasn't around then so I'm not positive. Coney Island had The Wizard of Oz, the Banana Splits, and some of the Hanna Barbera characters walking around. I would imagin that Disney started the trend
  7. ^Flower power!! (or some wild flower seeds to cover the area) I thought Washington's shirt was not tucked in so he thought it was a setting sun on a rising moon?
  8. How's the family Don, every one doing well?
  9. A new season, but that gets old quick!
  10. What did the green wire say to the black and white wire to get them to stop arguing?
  11. Short simple answer without getting too technical. Both KI and CP have a dedicated sub station that provides power to them, KI is located just south of the water park and has two "sides" one for KI and one for the surrounding area, CP is located on the mainland just west of the causeway I believe. Basically it is set up like a grid, they use a three phase system strung out around the park. Each "ride" or "attraction" will take power from one, two, or all three of the wires by a transformer that turns the voltage provided via the wires and turn it into a usable voltage. Basically it is the same as the wires going into an industrial park and being distributed into each business. CP system was upgraded not just for Maverick, but for the entire park.
  12. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-18563_162-57500152/detroit-mans-life-is-stuffed-with-carnival-game-prizes-thanks-to-talent/ Thought this to be a very heart warming story.
  13. I'm going with Crazy Horse again, I was wrong to guess that for Diamondback but I'm bound to be right one of these days.
  14. Not a one, if you don't like it then don't ride it. The only rides I would take out, are ones that are not safe any more. If there is a ride that I do not like, I am sure there is some one out there that does like it, so no reason to take it out.

    What If...

Hindsight is 20/20 that is why no one wears glasses on there a** Good topic though, now if you could only get the Lindner family to answer this question. I think the answer would surprise many if not most of you, a lot of things seemed to be should of, would of, and could of with them.
  16. Yeah, I was surprised when they gave me a receipt for my parking. I guess they want to make sure you don't hand your pass off to someone else after you enter (though if they pay attention to the photo it'd be hard to get away with that). I also noticed that the Metro route no longer goes to the passenger dropoff area, though it's still a bit of a hike from the new stop. There's no picture associated with the receipt though, it would be easier for you to hand the receipt to some one at pasanger drop off than your pass.
  17. If only I was between 18 and 35 but time travel is not possible as Stephen Hawking set out to prove.
  18. No problem Mark, and yes Larry Smith was around until around 1974 or 1975. I remember watching the show when I was laid up for a little while then.
  19. You forgot wcet the first licensed pbs station in the nation, and at the time (1972) had more viewers than wxix 19, and at some peak times, more that the local ABC affiliate wkrc 12.
  20. ^Thanks, I did a google search earlier today but I did not see that one. I will try again tonight I should have more time. My daughter's boyfriend is going into the Marines and this would be perfect for her.
  21. We still do have High School bands that play at the Bandstand on International Street when school is in session during the spring, early summer and fall. Marching bands also perform each year. These performances typically take place between 10:30am and noon. Thanks Don, I did not know that. That was a really nice treat back then, I was a band member myself but before KI. I used to enjoy sitting under the tower and listening to fresh talent from the local High Schools. I will have to look for this.
  22. ^Just about every week end and some times during the week, they would have high school bands play there in the early years. Great times. on a side note, where did you get your Tinkerbell in camo at? My daughter would love that.
  23. It all boils down to the guy being drunk, no one forced him to drink, and no one else is responsible for giving him too much or not cutting him off. If he was not drunk, the others would not have the oppertunity to make a total a$$ of them self. Not too many people on here seem to want to blame the drunk, to that I say: If it were not for the drunk, you would not have any one else to blame for his actions, so why not just blame the drunk.
