  1. More ideas on my accellorator theory. There are a few buildings between Nick Universe and the Montgomery Inn restaraunt that appear to be barren. Perfect place to make a themed queue and station for a western themed ride (my origional theory.) The long stretch of woods between that and the lake could be used for the launch/brake area, and the ride itself would wrap around the lake, featuring a lake hugging overbank and a tophat as it's two main elements (obviously with some other hills or turns in between.) My ongoing quest for evidence now includes: *Pic of Xcellorator on souvenier cup signs (what started me on making the accellorator rumor) *Aformentioned space at Rivertown *Build a bear shop is now selling those toy old west guns *An old western barrelwagon near Vortex *Lots of q-tv videos hinting at "Diamond" theme. My guess for the ride name is Diamondback
  2. So unless their going for a first, my bet is still Floorless or Accellorator.
  3. First of all, Raging Bull is a top 10 worthy coaster, so yeah. Back on topic, has CF ever built any B&M hypers?
  4. Possible on the Hyper. I'm not dissing Alpy, but as I've stated, WE HAVE ENOUGH INVERTED COASTERS! Although BG is known mainly for its glorious theming and authenticity, KI is more of a family park. Yes we do have the land and quite possibly the money, but I dont think we'd get a huge coaster AND theme it the same year. I could be wrong, so dont quote me on this unless I'm right. Vortex>all in KI
  5. I agree that a hyper IS viable. I'm just uncertain that they'll bother with it with SoB there. While its true that hometown big coaster is lacking in hills, I just cant see something of the same general height being built, especially since that is the sort of coaster that takes up alot of space and money to build. Unless they tear down Sonny, I just dont sea this as a practical solution...
  6. A few people said SLC, and I counter that we already have 3 Vekoma stock models (Face//off, Reptar, Firehawk). As far as KI's coaster history goes, its mostly been Vekoma, Arrow, and Premier. Arrow has basically gone under, so we wont be gettng that unless its a 4-D, which is highly doubtable. Vekoma we already have alot of, and there isnt really much more we can get from them except a SLC, which would give us 5 suspended coasters. Not going to happen IMO. Premeir is a possibity, but the only thing that comes to mind is a water coaster, and there's currently only one of those in the world, so thats also doubtful. Moving on to new possiblilities, a woody would be doubtful since we already have Beast, Racer, and the fiasco with SoB. Anything Suspended in any form is also doubtful as I previously guessed with my Vekoma comment. Stand up and hyper are out of the question too. No one's buying stand ups anymore, and unless CF reinstalls Cobra (which they definately should), I dont see them buying one from BM. Also keep in mind that there is a stand up B&M within a few hours in either direction (CP with Mantis and SFKK with Chang) Hyper COULD be a possilbilty, but with SoB I strongly doubt it. Then again this IS Cedar Fair we're talking about. That takes our possibilities down to Accellorator, Dive Machine, Floorless, Wild Mouse, and various small coasters. A wild mouse would fit nicely anywhere, but I can't quite see where one would fit. Gerstunder (still cant spell) would generally cover any sort of compact, but they havent had TOO BIG a history with CF. Dive machine is probable, but with Busch's non-compete contract we wont get anything cool. A small StormRunner-ish Accellorator is my personal bet since I started that rumor, but the fact still remains that KI already has a few launched rides, and CF's history with Intamin. That brings us down to Floorless. A bit big to build, though KI does have plenty of space to build. My one draw against it would be that we already have the "floorless" experience on our 2 inverted rides. My top picks for our next coaster: Wild mouse/compact coaster, Floorless, small Accellorator.
  7. Alright, I'll be more specific and actually do a top 10 this time. 1. Vortex 2. Firehawk 3. Beast 4. Scooby 5. Avatar 6. IJ:ST 7. Top Gun 8. Drop Zone 9. Congo Falls 10. Adventure Express Ofcourse King Cobra gets an honorary 1st place spot, and Delerium comes in dead last. I still say to this day that it could have easily gone somewhere else (X-Base anyone?), and KC could have been down for a while while all the bugs got fixed. I have ridded all the other types of Frisbee, and Delerium pales in comparisson to even the carnival model that I road down in Ocean City.
  8. UNDOUBTABLY Vortex. Firehawk is a nice addition though. May very well be my new second favorite there.
  9. Name: Diamondback Type: Intamin Accelorator (Rocket) Location: Rivertown/lake area. Features: A 90 degree turn over the lake, a 100' verticle top hat, a large overbank turn that dives under the tophat. Layout shape: L-shaped out and back. Hills: 2 (tophat, and airtime hill before brakes.) Theme: Snakes, old west Colors: Green, brown.
  10. IJ bashes you around alot, since the majority of the ride is trick track. Also, the real fire probabbly adds to the intensity, as does the pitch black tunnel that follows. I'd say a 4 or 5 would be fair for it. As for the matter at hand, Vortex needs to be a 6! Its filled with constant direction changes, its rough (depending on where you sit), and filled with airtime. I dont see how it could possibly drop bellow 5, unless tunnels really do factor in that much. AE I could see as a 4, but it doesnt seem bad enough to be a 5... Also, 7-2. Back seat is perfect for that first pop of air IMO, but I havent tried 5-1 in a while. I'll do that next time I head up there, which will probabbly be monday or thursday.
  11. Truthfully, FoF works better only running 2 trains. Having recently gone to SFA, I noticed how slow Joker's Jinx ran with one station and 2 trains. It almost takes the entire ride's lenght for the train on the brakes to get back to the station, let alone unload people. With FoF's second station, they can unload the brake train while the load station loads and resets for launch. The MCBR makes this especially more efficieant. A third train would only get in the way, constantly making use of the MCBR to stall riders in that block. Now to fuel the rumor fire. I've noticed this year a picture of Accellorator's tophat on all the souvenier cup posters. Its a long shot, yes, but it IS possible for KI to get some sort of small rocket coaster next year. 1. As previously mentioned, Dick's favoritism towards KI 2. Also as previously mentioned, we need more of a diverse coaster line up, and we could always get something new. 3. CP's history with Intamin 4. Subliminal hints are our friends. Remember how the TV's were showing IJ stunt stuff the year before we got IJ:ST? 5. This DOESNT have to be another TTD or anything. I'm guessing something along the lines of Kanonen, StormRunner, or Rita. Some sort of compact layout that is relitively small but still thrills. 6. It could easily be Rivertown's new coaster, seing as CF tends to be drifting towards the old west with their newest "themed" coasters. If this doesnt happen (its feasible, though still a long shot), I'd like to see more substance in the X base section. They need more than 2 rides there...maybe some new flats or a restaurant?

    Opening Day Poll

I was trying to make it a point that Huntington lacks US Bank, and that it would be benificial to get a Huntington account...

    Opening Day Poll

AS of last year it was all Hunigton. I imagine this year will be the same. I figured. This is exaclty why my parents should have got me that account instead. They got me a US bank one, then sent me to college in Huntington. The only bank here is pretty obvious, and it coincidencially supports my home park aswell..

    Opening Day Poll

Im there, but I have a quick question. Are there any US Bank machines there, or is it just Huntington?
  15. Vortex refuses to be my friend...CANT SHE SEE WE WERE MEANT TO BE TOGETHER?!?! T_T
  16. Obviously not, it forgot it's own birthday, and it's still marked as 19 xD But since shes a single, sexy coaster....*claims Vortex as wife before any raging fanboys get her*
  17. Happy birthday to my favorite ride in the park!
  18. Simply amazing pictures *misses KC more and more* If only I could afford a piece of the old track, or atleast a car from the train...
  19. Technically this is old news, but its still sweet. I've always wanted to do something like this, but I'm convinced its impossible.
  20. Nope. That goes to some stuff about TRTR Great find either way.
  21. Sci-Fly xD I think thats in more of a to-generic-to-be-it category. I still say that CF is going to find some loophole and give it a western name to go with their 2007 theme...
  22. I always thought those metal buzzes were for locking the bars into place and stuff. Or were you refering to something else? Interesting.... (Backwards ftw)
  23. Good point, though they did race about 1/4 of the time that I was there....Guess I jsut got lucky.
  24. I think it will be enough to have 2 coasters in that area unless they use some more of that land to expand. Just add a few flats, games and stalls and it should be good... Also, I LIKE the path under Racer. It provides a cool camera angle, and its fun to watch them race over you...
  25. Something about the military or aliens (then you could keep it the same color scheme.) Contact, maybe? Ofcourse, knowing CF's theme this year, it'll end up with a Western theme/name lol. I'm just glad that we finally got confirmation on this baby =D
