  1. CP's is this week https://www.cedarpoint.com/item/Youth-Programs-9-10-14-29/Physics-Science-Math-Week
  2. From friends up at CP today, there is now a surcharge to use the meal plan at some locations.
  3. CP also has themed music to its themed sections as well. Country in Frontiertown, and last year brought bluegrass to the Trail.
  4. Soak City is indeed a separate gate, and only included on Platinum Pass.
  5. http://www.rollercoasterfreak.com/CP_Brochures/1991_pg_map.jpg This map shows the extant of different areas that CP tried to have. There is a difference between Frontiertown and the Trail. Town is the old west as the trail is pioneer cabins of the east.
  6. Coaster Campout is Scheduled to take place in the Antique Cars infield in Frontiertown. https://www.cedarpoint.com/events/things-to-do/events/Coaster-Campout
  7. I shall be there, and yes expect any kind of weather.
  8. I am a fan of 80's and early 90's EPCOT and dislike the direction the park is going now. Give me Dreamfinder and Figment over any mainstream Disney character themed attraction. For reference here is the original EPCOT film
  9. The Roller Coaster Capitol may not approve of the name. (I am not talking about a park on the shores of Lake Erie). I believe you mean capital. Capitol is a state house building. Oops, my bad.
  10. The Roller Coaster Capitol may not approve of the name. (I am not talking about a park on the shores of Lake Erie).
  11. It's about time dark rides made a come back at Cedar Fair parks. It's only been a twenty year wait for CP, and even longer for Dorney. I would love to see a traditional dark rides over all else (think pretzels and Tracy), but almost anything is an improvement of no dark ride. As for KI back story, there is always this... https://clevnet.bibliocommons.com/item/show/864206048_the_beast Licensing and royalties may be an issue.
  12. It's just called Main Entrance/Gate, nothing fancy. Front plaza is good term for it, as it is indeed a plaza infront of the park.
  13. The food is not to be missed. I suggest Miss Lillians, and mayhaps you might even get to meet her.
  14. What do you consider the Jack Aldrich (Centennial) Theater? How about Lusty Lil's and Red Garter?
  15. Back when they were designed, both the Monorail and Peoplemover were the transportation of the future. As Walt explained himself in the Experimental Prototype Community Of Tomorrow documentry, the two modes worked together in the same system. The Monorail would transport people over long distances ( eg. suburbs to downtown), whilst the areas around it's stations would have people movers to get riders to there final destination (home/work/store).
  16. Niether elevator can access the 50 foot platform, thus the ADA issue with said platform.
  17. ^What amphitheater does Pointfest use? Could Spirit Song use the same method as Pointfest? (phantomtheater asking questions)
  18. http://www.foxcarolina.com/story/27906860/report-woman-says-god-aliens-told-her-to-go-see-amusement-park?clienttype=generic&mobilecgbypass Leaves baby alone in car at the drop off lot, breaks in to Carowinds and blames aliens posing as God.
  19. $9? Defiantly Florida inflation at work. Comparatively Ravine Flyer II cost $4.50 or either of Knoebel's woodies can be ridden for $3. Both also offer free admission and parking as well.
  20. If a park opens up media day to coaster clubs, only members of the approved clubs are allowed. Preregistration is required and attendies must follow any rules set by the park. Of course, the park could just send out a few invites to media and other select persons as well.
