  1. Coaster Crew sent out an email stating that they were no longer an official club for coastermania.
  2. Dark Ride And Funhouse Enthusiast (DAFE), and have recently joined GOCC.
  3. The Flying Scooters were removed by Six Flags after the 1999 season, it is unknown where they went.
  4. As did Friday's. This may be one of the most pleasant surprises this off season, and a change I am excited for, no more bland ketchup with my fries. As for mustard, I'm not much of a yellow fan. I much prefer brown, preferably Stadium Mustard.
  5. https://www.cedarpoint.com/article/media-center/NEW-WINGS-COMING-TO-CEDAR-POINT?mobile=0 Official press release. Quaker Steak has decent food, but it's more about the atmosphere. It is a motor head's dream with cars and car parts on walls, suspended on ceilings and even cars on lifts over tables. People do enjoy their wings, including the ultra spicy atomic wings. 6. Interestingly, this was Six Flags second attempt at an indoor attraction. In 1984 they opened AutoWorld in Flint, Mi which failed miserably lasted less than a year. Unfortunately there is little out there on this park. As for Power Plant, it is too bad it didn't make it. With Steampunk a big thing now, an attraction made to look Vernesc Victorian may have been popular with Steampunk enthusiast.
  7. Today I went to the Western Reserve Historical Society in University Circle in Cleveland to ride the restored Euclid Beach carousel. After years of waiting I finally got to experience the Cleveland legend, and it did not disappoint. It may be a little rough, but considering all it's been through that is understandable. The machine features all but 4 of the original PTC horses, both chariots (albeit one on the machine, as the other was substituted out for a handicap accessible chariot.), band organ and even the original center pole. The ride cycle was nice and long and a decent speed. The carousel is housed in a glass pavilion off the corner of the museum allowing riders to look out on to the botanical gardens across the street. To ride the carousel, one must buy admission to the WRHS museum (currently $10) which includes two free rides. Besides the carousel, WRHS has a rotating exhibits but also includes the 1910's Hay-Mckinney Mansion, a historical clothing exhibit, the Municipal Stadium chief wahoo, and the popular Crawford auto-aviation collection. The museum is open year around Tuesday through Sunday.
  8. If these houses do happen, how long till they complain about the noise and traffic of KI?

  10. It was indeed. Geauga Lake had some well maintained and aging well Vekomas. Many people, including this poster felt GL's SLC was the smoothest out there, and found it somewhat enjoyable.

  12. As much as I want a dark ride at CP, I hope they put another theater in it's place. Not only is the biggest indoor Live E venue gone, it was the one that did not feature a musical revue during the summer. This will now leave the list of things for non-riders and gentle ride only riders even smaller. Also more of the Amazement Park becomes a memory, dang progress. Though hopefully this also spells the end for Cedars (the ugly red buildings behind Wildcat/Bleachers). In my opinion the venue that should be torn down is Oceana.

  14. ^The Breakers opened in 1905, making the property 110 years old and not 120. https://www.cedarpoint.com/media-center/park-history
  15. Which ride do I want back? My username is the answer.
  16. Can't use that theory at CP, merch sells way to many glowy flashy thingys which most guest wear. Also our skeleton keys are a flashing light up thingy. Boo-Boo left the park after the 05 season.
  17. The concept has moved north. However Cedar Point's version is a pumpkin with a full light up necklace. The cost is also more at 8 dollars.
  18. You have made my night, and mayhaps week. Thanks for sharing. Now I shall be a teary eyed phantomtheater as I reminisce my favorite past KI ride.
  19. ^Jungle Cruise is a Trademark of Disney. CP had Paddlewheel Excursions which was the later version of Western Cruise
