  1. ^^Exactly!! I mean, many "pundits" seem to think SF is actually run as a decent company now! I still don't understand why investor Bill Gates couldn't do something like that?
  2. ^^I have seen someone denied queue entry after failing the test seat on Maverick, though!
  3. Again I ask...why can't "nephew" "Tigellinus Synder" who just received a few billion from "Uncle Synder" buy Six Flags from Red Zone for a song, and at this rate, with only one chorus and verse!?!
  4. I really cannot remember an El Toro or Ride of Steel ride at DL without seeing at least one WOS...it kills capacity, to be honest!!
  5. With 65~ rides on Behemoth, I found 3 clicks was only enforced by certain ride op's, or when Supervisors/Mgrs were around, or during the first few hours of the day. Often at night or when there was only 4 op's checking (as opposed to the 6 or even 8 I've seen), 2 clicks could easily be had.
  6. ^^In addition to MF's wretched blocking system...but hey, 'tis the case for no trims!
  7. ^^Wowza!!! Ummmm.... a.) the lap bars aren't close to the same, and b.) I would say/think the Firehawk restraints are actually MORE accommodating than what D-back's will be. That said, *I* still contend if you can ride most everything at KI (sans Firehawk) then you're good for D-back!
  8. I'm sure many will chime in...but in '89 my 7 year-old sister (who was tall enough) went straight from riding The Beastie (her pervious only coaster) to The Beast and Vortex for the first time back-to-back in the same day! She loved them and was never afraid of coasters. In short, everyone is different, and if he thinks he can do it, then let him...life's all about taking chances and trying new things, that's how you grow up!
  9. Mods please close in accordance to amended TOS...
  10. ^^I'm glad some people are backing me up! You're still cool with me, Flyer, but trust us...Saturday, April 21st 07 was NOT that glorious, unfortunately!
  11. ^^No offense, dude, but you're 16...the debate ends there quite frankly.
  12. ^^I'll dig up the TR's if you'd like, but in short, many rides, including ol' reliable stand-by's had significant downtime (i.e. longer than 1 hour). Seeing Vortex stuck on the lift with riders for an hour and The Beast being stuck on the break run for an hour (with me on board!) wasn't that lovely...in addition, Delirium only ran half the day...it sucked to be honest. Trust me, I wish I was making it up!!
  13. ^^Awesome!! I'm headed to the post office in about 15 minutes to drop off my Lucas Oil Stadium postcard! Good luck to all!!
  14. ^^Yeah, I know that...I was asking what city you're in? C'mon...step your game up and get a Gold Pass!! (if not Platinum!)
  15. What market (city) are you in?? Also, I've seen the D-back discount ticket displays at Meijer in Indy as well!
  16. ^^Ding, ding, correct for RR!! TTD is a Strata, and I think I read in an article (translated from German) that Intamin/Stengel was coining their 500 ft+ computer models Exo! (i.e. Exocoaster)
  17. Hopefully KI/Don makes clear the details for the First Ride Auction winners, more so now that it appears there is, indeed, D-back ERT on opening day!
  18. Dvo, you want to make the agreement now that if either of us wins we'll take the other person??
  19. ^^Needless to say this is excellent news if it holds true!!
  20. Technically, I don't think KIC'ers are allowed to comment on this in accordance with the new TOS rules for KIC...
  21. Yeah, I'm taking "early" as by avoiding SP processing lines, i.e. still NO D-back ERT on the 18th!
  22. Well, if I win, someone on KIC can join me!!
  23. Again, people, it's obvious what CF is doing...exactly as RR said. Just like KI does things for "nostalgic" reasons too!
  24. ^^Although, I admit that I have experienced SFGAdv be very blase before with their restraint checking on Nitro, especially when they try to run 3 trains without any stacking...their hustling often results in a mere tap of the clamshell. During such times, I've been able to have a ridiculous amount of space from the lapbar, where one time I swear on that pre-helix left bank drop I felt like I easily could have slipped out had I really tried! But when you try to get loose from a restraint, at that point it doesn't really matter what coaster you're riding!
