  1. Are you crazy?!?! July 4th week is CP's busiest of the year!!! Needless to say, the wait will be a lot longer than 45 mins then!! Good luck with this strategy!! Even though I'm 26 now and a complete enthusiast who will ride anything, up until 2001/2002 I was VERY skeptical riding anything with intensity beyond Vortex or Magnum, and as a kid at KI my parents didn't push me at all. But my dad did push my little sister, who ended up riding anything all throughout middle and high school (such as Millennium Force, Goliath, etc.). I've always heard from enthusiasts with kids that the earlier, the better!!
  2. I can be corrected if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the temps are supposed to be warming up this week!?!
  3. ^^The only thing I would say is the layout (over a midway and somewhat unique in where its station will be and going into the woods) screams Cedar Fair and not so much Paramount, which had a lot of self-contained ride parcels.
  4. Wait a minute....so you're saying the row doesn't actually have a door to it?! I guess I wasn't paying attention to that part! Anyway, while the ride was ok, I wish the cycle was longer and had more intensity (i.e. went higher on the ends and went faster over the airtime hill)....but if the line was short and I was bored I would try it again (especially since you can't cut through Swan Lake anymore), but I'm guessing only the back row is good, and I wonder if a middle seat is better than the 1-1 corner back row seat I had.
  5. So in other words, you're basically saying that the 16 year-old requirement is NOT due to any additional thrill, but rather KI doesn't want a kid sitting next to the entry door?? Like in a similar situation to sitting by the exit/emergency door on an airplane?
  6. So after hearing many people say that Avatar is not just a kids ride and has the potential to be good (nothing new I know!), I tried riding it for the first time this past Saturday. My question is, while I rode it in the back, I later found out about this "16 year-old" seat (the one closest to the blue platform) and wanted to know if that is the most intense seat on the ride? I'm guessing it is since you have to be at least 16 years-old to sit in it, but I wanted to know if that's the most thrilling seat?? While I thought Avatar was ok (for a kids ride, which I haven't ridden any true kids rides since being a kid), I definitely wouldn't wait more than the 30 minutes or so I did for it, but it did have a few brief moments of thrill for the back seat that I was in.
  7. Since KI is open until 10:00 pm tonight, and since today is a Math-Science Day and the weather is good (i.e. hopefully the park will NOT be closing early!!), could I go up to KI at, say, 9:45 pm and would the season pass processing office still be open assuming KI was also still open as well??
  8. ^^I always thought that was just regular country to me....
  9. HUH????? What's that?! Obama comes out with a cowboy hat, boots, and a gee-tar???
  10. Good to hear!! When does it come back?
  11. I completely agree!! I thought she was really good too, and should definitely do American Idol next year...she was way better than Carly Smithson or Brooke White! Btw, since the Cedar Point lines are always so long and I never have time to go into the Red Garter, does anyone know if the Red Garter shows are similar to KI's show? Also, and I should know this answer, but can anyone confirm that the ice show from last year is NOT coming back to KI this year, right??
  12. Ahhhh.....I still remember the day in 2004 when I got my first KI season pass (since I now lived in OH), and actually being astonished and surprised by getting my parking fee refunded to me!?!? Keep in mind, I wasn't an enthusiast like now and had no idea how it worked, and it was just as if some stranger had given me $10 (or whatever parking was in 04) for free!!!
  13. Just wanted to let you know I'm at work and using IE and all seems to be fine! Thanks again for doing whatever you did!
  14. Skyline?!?....that’s heresy!!!! Why you didn’t go to the Gold Star on Mason-Montgomery & Socialville is beyond me!?! That’s definitely my dinner hot-spot to leave for while at KI…
  15. HAHAHAHA!!!....while NOT intended...that laugh really brightened what's otherwise a dark basement in my mother's house!! (where most bloggers live!!)
  16. I'll load IE now and see.... EDIT: Sweet!!! I just launched IE and am using it now and am getting no errors!!! The true test will be tomorrow at work, but so far, so good!! Thanks a lot for whatever you did to correct that!
  17. Hahahaha.....one question I have....as someone who has smoked maybe 5 cigarettes in my entire life (a few times socially at parties), why is quitting them so hard?!?! I seriously can't seem to grasp this concept for some reason?? In addition, those few cigs I had were really nasty and gave me a headache!! (keep in mind, I'm definitely NOT referring to anything "green" in color, which I haven't really done that much either, but that experience is actually pretty good!!)
  18. So is this script virus ever going to be fixed anytime soon?? While using FireFox at home has fixed my prior issues with IE, I'm not so lucky to have FireFox at work and every time I go to KICentral at work, my computer crashes at that point! Thanks a lot and hopefully you can get this fixed as in over 3 years of coming to KIC (the 1st yr as a lurker), this has never been a problem before!? Thanks for your help. --Justin
  19. Maybe the VIP jackets are in a separate area or something, or would otherwise involve extra effort or access above and beyond anything that KI is already doing for the sell-out?? Besides, summer is almost here!! You could probably and successfully keep that jacket "in the plastic" until the fall now at this point...
  20. Sweet!!!! I just heard from the park, and here's what they responded to me with!!!.... "You can certainly come in Saturday to get your passes processed. The hours will be 10am to 8pm (our normal park operating hours). The park itself will be closed to the public; Saturday is a private event for a company who bought the park for the day." So, it appears no James Bond scenario's will be needed on Saturday!! Best news all day so far....
  21. See, I'm thinking....since I know KI is closed b/c of a sell-out, would it be crazy to assume that season pass sales/processing would be closed during this time as well?? I'm kind of thinking NOT, actually!! I mean, I don't know what group will be at KI on Saturday, but is Cedar Fair the kind of company that says no to dollars laying on the ground!? (B/c you can't tell me *no one* at KI on Saturday would have any interest at all in getting a season pass, correct??) So I wonder if I mosey on into KI on Saturday morning by foot at a prospective time that people would be entering if I could get my season pass processed then!? Because as someone who is NOT entering the park, what would differentiate me from anyone else who is legitimately entering KI on Saturday?? That's what I'm wondering...I understand that if KI is closed for a sell-out it's a little bit messy logistically to allow GP to also be at KI as well for season pass processing, but still, I'm one person who simply wants to get in, get out, and cares less about trying to get into KI, especially considering Sunday is opening day and I have Reds' tickets for Saturday!!
  22. I could have sworn I read that somewhere, but I can't remember if they'll be open then or not?
  23. Yeah, I'll be going beg. of July and end of Aug....be sure to post a TR as I might have some questions about riding Fahrenheit so I can "get away" with riding it semi un-safely, but to provide ultimate thrills!! Btw, since you're already at Niagra, what about going up to CW for Behemoth?!?
  24. That might have been me, actually, as I had planned on going on New Year's or the day after, but upon learning X's closing date we re-scheduled that trip to Nov.
