The lockers at CP are $1, and they're not a scam...for MF and TTD you unload at a different section than when you get on, so storage bins are not an option. And you load and unload at different places to increase capacity and decrease the amount of time you spend in line, so the lockers are actually of benefit to you...similar reasons for Firehawk as well....

Btw, the KI Maxx Pass *WILL* get you in an hour early! If you have the CP Maxx Pass you must *also* have Joe Cool to get in an hour early if you're not staying at a hotel. As far as hotels...personally, I'd stay in either Toledo or west Cleveland (depending on where you're coming from) as the prices and quality will be better if you're willing to sacrifice still having to drive an hour in the morning. Otherwise, stay all the way left on the Causeway and park in the Soak City lot instead of the Funway lot, do Raptor in the evening, do NOT do Maverick 1st thing (unless you get in early/first thing) as the line gets shorter later, and do Dragster in the morning (if it's running) and while you can as once it closes for problems (and it usually does) it can often be closed for the rest of the day! Also, leave the park for at least one meal since the CP food prices are through the roof this year!! You get one free re-entry for parking, and you'll be able to park in the Soak City lot again.

To answer the question about Saturday's open, after testing from open until 10:45 am-ish, it opened a little before 11:00 am and I'd say it's safe to assume from here on out for a relative open near park open (at least on weekends anyway) barring any other problems (which are inevitable, though maybe minor). And as far as airtime, I found the most to be the drop right before where the loop used to be and the drop right before the final brakes, but make no mistake, it's no airtime machine like Voyage or El Toro! (or even Racer for that matter!!)

Whoa!! I was in line for Firehawk the first time when it broke down at 2:00 pm, and then after a mere one cycle each for both trains (did KI forget they are CF now, which requires multiple cycles!?) I got the first ride after it re-opened at 2:30, and it's good to know I was lucky (7-7-07, baby!) and got in during the short operational window!!

*IF* it opens at all!! Right people?? Right Interpreter?! It was never open enough for anyone to ride and tell stories about it!!! But in all seriousness, my dad rode it and claimed it was just ok...he thought Screamin' Deamon was a lot better! (not to mention every other coaster in the park at that time) But it was really a blessing in disguise as (and as I'm sure you also read about) KI got a discount on price for Vortex for Arrow's shoddy Bat design. *MY* question is how much did KI *actually* pay for Vortex?? (oh, Interpreter!!!) Because I've heard everything from $0 to like 25% off, so who knows??

Well, Nashville has Dollywood!! And Houston *HAD* Astroland, and as for Miami....South Beach IS it's own amusement park!!!

No doubt the opening will be soft...which is why people with their iPhones (like the one I just got from the Apple store) need to post on here when it's open!! Btw, not a HUGE fan of the Mac browser, but I like being able to have multiple browsers going at the same time with the iPhone!!

I'd take someone physically standing in front of SoB right now telling me what's going on over someone working at some ticket window...I'm not saying some customer service person is wrong, BUT they might have agendas (like not caring about your call and lying to you or not being allowed to say) versus someone who is the most primary of sources....if you believe everything everyone says when you call somewhere or some store, then you're very naive and good luck with that!!

Yeah....but as someone who worked as John Mayer's soundtech for 5 tours....don't believe anything you *hear* from anyone as they usually don't know or won't tell. In this situation, only eye-witness accounts of people at KI today/right now is going to be the most accurate. So someone at KI right now needs to start using their new iPhone that they just got! That's what it's for!!

Well since KI is open now today somebody better be making a post from their iPhone and telling us if it's open!!
