  1. Isn't the Chickenhawk a Warner Brothers character?
  2. Looks like Carowinds changed Top Gun to Flight Deck and BORG to Nighthawk. Go to the link to see for your self. http://www1.cedarfair.com/carowinds/attrac...ory.cfm?ac_id=1
  3. Actually the Thunderbirds red white and blue like here, but I like the idea: Maybe both can be a Dueling Dragons type coaster. You can choose to be a USAF pilot or a Navy pilot.
  4. How about naming Top Gun to the Blue Angels? The coaster needs a new paint job so color it blue supports and yellow track. Refurbish the trains to having the colors of the actual jets like these and second picture can be the logo:
  5. The Vortex thinks now? Man these machines are getting smarter. LOL!
  6. I wasn't able to ride Wicked Twister because of my very broad shoulders. The belt was about an inch from the buckle and they couldn't let me ride.
  7. I was thinking maybe Kings Island can do something like this if they did get a B&M coaster in Rivertown. Like the Demon at SFGAm, flying over railroad track. That'll really be cool. Well it doesn't have to be an inversion though.
  8. I'd rather see some more flat rides mostly in Rivertown, where the dolphin show use to be and near the lake across from Tomb Raider, and maybe one more in Coney Mall. I don't think Coney mall needs another roller coaster at X-Base. There's already 2 coasters there. I'd rather see a custom built B&M inverted coaster in Rivertown flying over White Water Canyon and near the train, if that's possible.
  9. But this version I took was with a digital camera not a cell phone. So it has a better picture quality.
  10. New entrance to "X-Base" has been made. If you guys (webmasters) want to use this picture, I can e-mail you a copy for your next Firehawk gallery update.
  11. Have the movie posters on the Paramount Theater been removed too? Since the ones in Action Zone are gone I figured those would've been removed by now, and what about the theater itself? Is it going back to the American Heritage Music Hall?
  12. Just to let everyone know that is a different "beastmaster". Dude you need to change your screen name. It's making me look really bad on here. Back to the subject we don't know what the trains are going to be. Maureen hinted G-trains, but there is also GCII which also starts with a "g" too.
  13. She even said that the trains are going to be designed especially for SoB's track guage rather than retrack the whole ride to accommodate regular trains. She did refer the trains as "G-Trains" though.
  14. That's what my picture is of. The horseshoe turn on X-Flight.
  15. PKI Delerium, look on the top of the supports in this picture. See the circled part of the supports the suspended track is mounted to? They haven't put that part of the supports on yet at KI.
  16. That could be the horseshoe turn they are putting up. Maureen said that the lifthill will be going towards Son of Beast so it an't be that.
  17. http://multimedia.pki.com/images/news/CIMG1318.JPG Looks like some of the footings are finished. Is it Memeorial Day yet?
  18. The media also forgot to mention Top Gun and Adventure Express too, but like what PKIVortex said they probably meant a good traditional thrilling steel coaster like Vortex.
  19. Kinda like when Paramount came in and destroyed the rich theming and history of Kings Island. The sooner the last vestages of Paramount are ripped from all the parks, the better. Yeah, remember the Flying Eagles, Antique Cars, King Cobra, Kentons Keelboat Canal, Phantom Theatre, Skylab, and any other attractions I have missed. Kings Island was awesome before Paramount bought them. Ever since Paramount had KI, they took out the charm of old KI. I think Cedar Fair will bring that old charm back. Again, the theming of these rides are NOT going to be removed. The only thing that could be removed is the movie reference by name like Tomb Raider, Italian Job, Top Gun, Days of Thunder, Drop Zone, and Face/Off. Why is there some negativity towards Cedar Fair running KI? Cstrwomann, have you ever been to any of their other parks besides KI and Cedar Point? Cedar Fair has said that they weren't going to change anything noticable to General public for the rest of this year, but next year we could see some changes of improvements. Already the park is a lot cleaner than it was when Paramount owned it. I thoght the landscaping has improved too.
  20. But will the genral public ride it? The ride will probably have low ridership now because of the accident. People aren't wanting to ride it because they think that they'll get hurt too. Look at FoF, before the modifications from OTSR to lapbars it had low ridership. To me Ceadr Fair has 2 options for this ride: 1. Modify the whole ride to make it enjoyable-ex. Intamin's prefabricated track and better trains 2. Tear it down and build a more reliable coaster-B&M, Chance-Morgan Manufacturing, or Intamin hyper coasters
  21. Oh I forgot about the thermometer. I did not see it there. Sorry about that mis info on that. But the others I have mentioned are still there. BTW, if someone could jog my memory, where was the thermometer located at? I can't remember where it was.
  22. And beginning this year the floral carousel horse is gone!!! Not fun!! Actually the floral arrangements listed except for the basket are still there. Last Saturday I noticed that the floral clock, bell, and calender were back in full bloom. The horse is still there it's just hidden behind some bushes. I'll try and get pictures of these landscaped arrangements and show them to you on my site. Bill Yost
  23. Why do some of you think Cedar Fair will get rid of Fear Fest? Cedar Point and Knott's Berry Farm (both run by Cedar Fair) have Halloween events in October too. I personally think Cedar Fair will run KI the way it's supposed to be run. With reliable rides, better shops and food, and a clean and more friendlier environment. I think Paramount only did half of that. Bill
  24. I'm glad that Cedar Fair bought the parks because that means we can get some better quality rides at KI. I to don't want to see record breaking rides there, but more reliable rides like a B&M or Gravity Group. Paramount has always cut corners to save money when they install the ride itself. Besides SOB, they would get the cheapest coaster companies (Vekoma, Premiere, RCCA, and Caprio) to manufacture the ride then fork out a lot of money to "decorate" the ride. Just about every coaster they had bought had problems with not opening up on time. At least Cedar Fair can get these parks relible rides that can open on time. We could see some good shops that can sell t-shirts of every adult coaster there. I never see FoF t-shirts anymore since the ride opened. Why is that? Well thats' all of my ranting. Bill
