  1. We were at Disney this winter and found the prices and quality to be much better there than at KI. It was almost $13 for a cheesburger, fries, and a drink. I was sick of the free water by supper time. Bubba Gumps (Sp?) is the best value. The food was very good. Everyone in my group (there were 8 of us) really enjoyed the meal. Leave the park and eat somewhere else. Disney offers a much better variety and a way better quality.
  2. I am sure that I will make several of you upset about this- but I found KI to be dirty. We were there last week (first time back in over 15 years). It is not the park that it use to be. The restrooms were dirty- paper on the floor, toliets dirty, soap dripping- just gross. People were smoking all over the place, of course leaving smoke buds on the ground. Lots of painting needs to be done. Last year we went to Dollyworld and Disney World. Both parks were so much cleaner and the employees were so much friendlier. None of the employees in the Nick area showed any excitiment. It doesn't matter who is causing the clean up- KI or CF. It should never have gotten that dirty. There is no excuse for gum, smoke buds, chipped paint everywhere. If Disney can keep their parks clean- than KI should have no problem since so Disney has so many more guests.
  3. We were at the park on July 21 and 22. I found the park to be in need of major cleaning. My father spoke to several employees who said the CF is working hard to get not only the park cleaned up but also the employees.
  4. Years ago (and I do mean years) KI had wonderful shows. I just returned from a 2 day visit to KI, and was I disappointed. IThey only offered one show (Star Search doesn't count). I didn't make it to School of Rock (4 year old son not interested). That was it. What about a show featuring all of the Nick characters? They need more entertainment at KI!!!
  5. I totally agree with becca011906. We always go in Jan. We never have to wait in line. The transportation is wonderful. We also stay onsite (at the Wilderness Lodge). Since we fly down, we rely on Disney transportation and have never had any problems. As for the characters, it worked out great to have them in a set location. We were able to get wonderful photos of our son with the characters with our own camera. I do miss the days of characters walking around, but let's face it, there are some very rude parents/adults out there that have no character etiquette. Our 3 1/2 year old son, talks about Disney almost everyday. Try the World at time other than summer.
  6. I know the park opens at 10:00 AM, but what time should we arrive at the park? We like to get in as many ride in the morning as possible. We have e-tickets and will use the transportation provided by the Kings Island Resort.
  7. My family (8 total) will be going to Kings Island next week( Fri and Sat). It has been like 20 years since I have been there. What should I expect? We will have two small children ( 3 1/2 and 4 years old). What are some rides for them? What are some not to be missed rides, shows, food, etc? About how long will the lines be for the rides? We go to Disney World often, but always on the off season so we are use to very short lines. Any tips, advice, or comments would be appreciated. Thanks
