  1. There were rarely times when there weren't groups, at least in my room! Reset, wait, plan a scare with someone nearby are all options. Just keep a watch out for people coming we could often hear groups way before they got to us!
  2. I can't speak for the others, however I've busted my butt all year every year since 09. Be it Cut Throat, Tombstone, Roaming or now Blackout I've always enjoyed the fun I've had taking Haunt seriously. I started later than normal this year due to injury and was dissapointed to lose my position as a Rivertown Roamer. I got placed in Blackout and didn't know what to expect. Although, I missed the first weekend which had a few mishaps, we have improved week over week. This is the first house/trail I've worked in where I continuously hear people coming through my room audibly mentioning how much they are enjoying the attraction. We have mixed things up a little bit each week, and I can honestly say our entire crew is a dedicated haunt family! The amount of screams we've produced has been incredible! All I can say is I hope those of you that have been in the attraction have had as good of a time as we are entertaining you!
  3. I agree whole heartedly... I'm baffled by the fact that Soak City has operated so long with the concession options it currently features. The water park is too small for its own good. A ridiculously small Subway, Ice cream joint, and main stand is simply not enough! I also think what guidelines were set in motion need to be followed too. We saw several people leave with trays of pizza in Soak City after holding up the line and arguing. This isn't even counting the fact they were in not even said line for pizza, which is at the end of the stand. Waiting over a half an hour for two powerades and a Coke is ridiculous!! Lady in front of my wife ordered regular food but asked for 16 drinks?!? (Had two people to carry them). All we wanted was to refill our cups. I've never had a worst experience with food at Kings Island. I think dollar days is a good idea if executed right however, yesterday was pure utter chaos. It's a shame to me because I feel like I got shafted. I'm a season pass holder without a meal plan that regularly buys and enjoys the food, but out of frustration left and got McDonalds. To top it all off it was my first visit since July after having shoulder surgery. So I specifically came for the food and to wade around in water since rides were off limits for me! Wow after not posting for some time I let off a whopper of a post lol!! Tldr; yesterday really sucked and KI was the most disorganized I've seen it since the Paramount bring a friend free days!!
  4. My opinion on the matter is that there is nothing wrong with breast feeding in public. However with that being said, it is still public so either cover up or go into a restroom. Don't have to feed sitting on the toilet. Also, don't need to have entire breast out while feeding outside. To me although inadvertent, it is no different than exposing another private part in public. Just my opinion.
  5. That's awesome lol beats The Overlord any day! Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk The Undertaker is great and a friend of mine however, I don't think I'm that bad at what I do!
  6. Anybody have any good food recommendations while in the park? Is it better to just eat outside the park?
  7. Taking a trip to Six Flags Great Adventure Thursday and was trying to get an idea on the price for a Flash Pass. I checked around their website as well as a search here but found no answer. Any idea on the possible range of price. Also, side note, I haven't been to a Six Flags since 2002 and It was the then Worlds of Adventure. I'm imagining the parks are ran a lot better these days right? I know Terpy speaks highly on the park, so I'm sure all is well.
  8. My wife doesn't enjoy most rides, but likes coming to the park because she likes to see me happy. She waits with me in line for most of the rides so I have someone to talk to while waiting. Plus, she likes to watch the reactions of people. I really don't see a problem with it as long as she doesn't hold up operations. She usually does it on the rides with a longer wait, and when she can exit the station easily. Usually the rides she waits in line with me end up being The Beast, Banshee, and Diamondback.
  9. Actually posting here to commend the DB crew which hasn't happened here as of late. I visited Thursday and while in line it only stacked once waited about 20-30 minutes for half of the upper and half of the lower queue. I was pleasantly surprised!
  10. 1. Son of Beast front seat: This was especially true at night. It was truly to me an amazing experience that will be hard to beat. 2. Phantom's Revenge: Holy stuff that comes out your rear this ride is amazing! Love that curved first drop with no pre drop! 3. Apollo's Chariot: This is awesome for the opposite reason of the other. The little pre drop before the main drop catches you of guard. The back of the ride gets a nice little double pop of air. 4. Gatekeeper: Front right one of the best drops hands down! (Well up in my case) 5. Banshee: Front seat for many of the reasons listed on this very forum many times. Have to give an honorable mention to Legend at HW love the drop with the sound effects! IMO best ride at HW as of right now! This was close to taking number 5
  11. I wear my Wii Fit U meter every time I'm there, and every day for that matter! I want to say last time I was at KI I logged 26000 steps.
  12. Yeah Phantoms Revenge is definitely at the top of my list. It fits in just before Banshee and just after Apollo's Chariot. The Wood Coasters were all amazing and Exterminator was very unique. The only other thing I managed to go through was Noah's Ark. It was definitely interesting. I didn't make it to Turtle or The Kangaroo before closing. I'll definitely be trying to return soon. It was great!
  13. It's close for me, but my battle resides in X Base. Overall, Flight of Fear and Firehawk are two rides I can go to KI and skip. Of the two I prefer to ride Firehawk. I'm not saying they're bad I just prefer all the other coasters at KI. There is only one coaster out of the 88 I've been on that I consider bad and of course my overall least favorite. The coaster happens to be Mine Ride at Cedar Point. I refer to it as "Cedar Creek Gender Swapper".
  14. Phantoms Revenge is amazing!!! Sad that the Whip was closed!
  15. In training for my job in Pittsburgh. I made a pitstop at Kennywood. I only have a few hours. What are the must ride rides here.
  16. To piggy back on his question... I'm wondering if they will let you buy meal plans for multiple parks on one Platinum Pass.
  17. I myself missed it but my family saw it today... It really impressed my grandparents and my wife. They said it was one of the best shows they've seen at the park in a while.
  18. Mine was Son of Beast in 2001 during a school trip. The ride broke my fear of coasters, and I went on to ride many more that day. I missed King Cobra due to it being closed. Also, I still wasn't brave enough to conquer Vortex of FoF, but those were done on my next trip in '03.
  19. I'm against popular opinion and I think that Legend is THE coaster at Holiday World. It's all about laterals and I'm a sucker for laterals. In defense of The Voyage, I found it to be real rough and know that isn't always the case. The back was even uncomfortable IMO, which is odd for me to say being a S.o.B fan. I need to get back for some more laps!
  20. I visited Kings Dominion for the first time last summer. I was pretty impressed, but it doesn't outshine KI. The layout was odd but the ride selection was great. I still prefer several of KI's rides and the openness of KI areas. Everything felt closed in besides the barren area around Dominator. I would definitely go back but KI wins to me hands down!
  21. I know with my plan it is 6 payments of 31 taken from my account on the same day I initially purchased my Platinum Pass. For example I bought my pass on the 26th, so each pmt is taken out on the 26th of the month. There is a service fee of 5 dollars on the first payment only. The first payment is due the day of purchase. Hope this helped!
  22. Looks like the queue for Adventure Express received some paint as well! I don't recall it being white. It looks good! Might be hard to maintain with people vandalizing it.
  23. I had forgot about his captures one of them is exactly what I saw. I'm actually really excited for The Bat it is one of my favorites at KI. I was overly excited to see it test. I said to myself, "this is not normal!" Oh well lol the life of an enthusiast.
