  1. What if they were going to close Flight Deck again and use the SoB station to "extend" Club Blood
  2. I'm thinking it may be for Haunt... However, today at KI there is now a wall up in SOB's station and sawing could be heard. I'm thinking they are going to use it for haunt because it looks like the same walls erected for Urgent Scare in Action Theater.
  3. After 110 rides, I have bruises on my stomach, thighs, and sides... Though I wouldn't have it any other way!
  4. lol that was one of the rides that did me in lol. 1-3 has so much ejector air...
  5. I can truly say I went to Cedar Point my first time in 2004, and I must say it was for Mean Streak. I was still kind of afraid of heights, and really liked wooden roller coasters. I was really dissapointed because it was closed when I went the first day. However, the second day we drove around perimeter road and saw it testing. It was the first thing we ran too. Again... I was dissapointed. I like the ride and will ride it, but it could be so much more. As for expansion, it never ceases to amaze me what these crews do. One must be very good at a jigsaw puzzle.
  6. Although I prefered the neon green... I think Firehawk is very appealing to the eye when it comes to color. As far as structure, Son of Beast has it hands down. It is absolutely amazing how the structure stands... Each board filling a piece of the puzzle.
  7. I was 7 and was pulled onto The Racer with him on our annual park trip (edition 1994)... scared me to death... Also rode Beastie and Adventure Express that day too. Those too scared me... Took me 7 years to ride another coaster. during my eighth grade trip to KI I got on Reptar several times, until I got tired of it. My grandmother who helped fund my trip stated that the money was given to me on one condition.... she said I'd have to bring her back an on ride photo of me on The Beast. I one upped her when my teacher tricked me onto SOB for extra credit. My coaster fears have been broken ever since.
  8. I was there today as well... everything looked to be in tact as far as I could see. I take a decent look everytime i'm there because I'm not sure if it will be there next time.
  9. My rollback that Rachel was talking about was quite odd... It was weird hearing a voice... it was like magical we couldn't figure out where it was coming from until the ride op said she was underneath us. The launch the second time is quite nice because it's out of no where. She stayed there until we were relaunched and even counted down for us. I was pleased with the situation. As far as B&M seats go it seems to me they are even going the way of Intamin. They just keep getting smaller.
  10. I missed both of you all too... I didn't get to the park till pretty late though. Glad to see you all had a good time. Nice shots of the park too.
  11. Yeah... I agree with that Ryan. I will say Son of Beast is my favorite ride at KI. Am I sad it's closed? Yes. However, I've went this long without a ride and I still plan on visiting the park. The place offers so much I can't help it.
  12. Yeah I agree... although I do sometimes venture out of the park, I usually buy at least some kind of food item while in the park. The ice cream is good, and the pizza is great. Also, now that I know that Skyline is pretty good I might get some of that this year. I find it an inconvenience sometimes to have to leave and come back. This is partly because of having a good parking spot and having to find another when coming back. Eating there just allows for one to remain in the atmosphere. *sorry to go off topic
  13. Yes... I'm talking about the famed Ferris Wheel in a box version in my above. I really just try to look at the positives. Yes it could be better, but some stuff is done well.
  14. Hey... I like The Crypt, so I guess that makes me a somebody. I don't have any beef with any one here for not liking it. I realize it was most likely a much more immersive experience in the past. I never got to experience that experience before because I'm not much for flipping and flopping. However, with it's improvment in downtown and ridership (for whatever reason) I would say the ride will live for a while longer. While something could go there it most likely will not, so why have vacant space. Also, even with the removal of theme it still is one of the better decorated rides in the park. I found the queue to be awesome... not on the level that I saw at BGT, but pretty good. Plus the light package inside the ride area is nice, and the music is not bad especially outside. Finally, I just really like the name. It is one of the better names that Cedar Fair given us.
  15. Yum... I want a blue ice cream cone so bad lol. I had one almost every trip, including when I worked haunt. It is a staple of my Kings Island visits just as the custard is a CP. (Which sounds good too)
  16. I put check out SoB... but I'll probably do all the things on the list anyways. This especially includes getting a blue ice cream cone and some LaRosa's
  17. Maybe they'll sell them in the shops like their sister up north... hopefully One would look quite nice with my "run for the hills" teaser sign.
  18. I'm thinking they are Intamin trains on El Toro... I'm pretty sure they are very tight fitting as well. I've read several reports of people not being able to fit and slowing down capacity. To be honest, I don't care what type of wood coaster trains run on the ride... I just want it to open or to close for good, so the incident can be put to rest. I prefer the open option more, but if it can't be "fixed" then so be it.
  19. Sorry a little off the current postings... but i noticed along with the closure notice being removed, the stat page was updated to include the g-trains and their capacity @ at 24 per train for 1000 an hour. As far as I remember the stat page held the info for the original trains up until recently. I know that it was never updated when it changed the the g-trains originally.
  20. Yeah... I remember you asking me if I was a member. I knew it was you. I meant to type ya a message, but I forgot.

  21. They just covered the story on the local news here in columbus... I found that quite funny... Story
  22. I hear it all the way at Cut Throat lol... it's not that bad you get used to it.
  23. I believe that would be Clowns and Ballerinas by Negativland
  24. I have for some reason always loved Death Row the maze portion just does it for me. I say do Death Row Urgent Scare Trail of Terror The only one I say avoid would be Cemetery Drive (and this is only if it has a big line) I hear screams at the entrance to CTC from their direction throughout the night. The main thing with Haunt that bothers me is... it is all in good fun. If you there trying to be Mr. or Mrs. Toughperson it will most likely hinder your experience. Try everything out, and always keep an open mind. Also as far as Cut Throat, goes I'm going to speak out a bit. Yes the masks leave a bit to be desired. Also, sometimes pirates may not be scary. However, come through with the intentions to be scared, and you should at least jump. I know for a fact that our first scare gets almost every group, i hear the screams after they enter. Also, the lighting has been dimmed a bit. The park is really trying to get this one right. They have added or changed something almost every day we've been opened. As far as the scenes go they mainly try to be entertaining. With that being said, the attraction has had some of the longest waits for a haunt attraction with it being "new". Waiting two hours may lead to a dissapointment. However, if the line isn't terrible long I recommend it for a try.
  25. Ahoy there landlubber
