My first visit this year to Kings Island was Friday, July 3rd. I just wanted to take a quick moment to tell the people that work the rides thank you for making it a great trip. The longest line for DB was 45 minutes. I got 3 rides in and it was great! The Beast, Vortex and others were moving along quickly as well. I really thought it would be a long day with a huge crowd but we rode everything we wanted 2+ times and had the time of our lives. This was our 13th anniversary so THANK YOU for making it one of the best! Andrea

I am planning my first trip of this season for next Friday, May 1st. I'm just curious as to how the crowds are on Fridays. I know they have to be somewhat better than Saturdays. I would just like to get rides in on my favorites and DB as I'm coming in from Lexington. Any employees or regular KICentral's opinions, advice etc would be so appreciated. Thanks in advance guys! Railrider - I LOVE your idea. That would make me want to ride it. I'll admit - I've avoided it on the last couple of trips I've taken to KI. I just don't feel it's worth the wait. If I can walk on, I'll ride but that hasn't happened yet. You should submit this idea to KI. I think you really have something there!

My sister and I are coming on the 1st of May - it's a Friday, do you guys suspect that the park will be really crowded then? I was hoping to get some of the opening day rush out of the way and go on a week day.

I too share a Birthday with Kings Island - I didn't come until November of 1972 though!

I wish I could make 10 trips! I'm probably going to make the usual 3 trips. Money is tight this year. I've yet to make it to Cedar Point. I want to go sooooooo bad!

Buy yourself and your sister tickets for her birthday in January. Knowing that you are more exicted to go than she is and used her birthday as an excuse to go without your kids. I'm pathetic.

I don't care how late they work, what angle it is or even what color it is. I just want to ride it when it opens~ I live with 4 ungrateful people and my one Kings Island trip a year is the only thing I do for myself so cheers to the guys working thier tails off until this morning, thank you to you guys that keeps us "non KI people" informed and my happy a** will be there in April!!!!!

As a parent of 3 kids, I personally wouldn't drop them off there until they were probably 14 - 15 depending on the maturity level. I went to KI when I was 14 without my parents (school trip from Lexington, KY) and everything was okay but I always had a group of girls with me, like 7 or 8 people. I don't know....there really are a bunch of wierd people out in the world now. It's just scary to think about what could happen if a child didn't know what to do in a situation like that. I really feel like my son is mature enough to obey park rules, not blow all his money in one spot and he would call in and check with me. It's not the kids I dont trust, it's the sickos blended in with the general public that worry me.

I wasn't even referring to the incident....I was referring to the keep up of the park. I guess I should have made that clear upon posting it. The attitude of the employees isn't at it's best either. Just my opinion. I guess if you like it...have at it.

Okay so we are planning one of our three annual trips up to KI July 19th. I know this is a Saturday and it's going to be crowded. (Which I hate) so can any of you give me suggestions on how to make it a good day without loosing my mind? What would you ride first, etc. It's a two hour drive for us so I would like to at least get all the coasters in. Any advice would be appreciated. There is no way we can come during the week due to work and getting sitters for the kiddos. Thanks in advance and I hope you all have a great weekend! Andrea
