  1. Oh yeah, I forgot... I want a write-in vote for the Chippery.
  2. As a former employee of LaRosa's (not at the park), I can tell you to expect some to be popping up in your area before you know it. I like how like 4 of the selections on the list don't exist anymore.
  3. Where exactly was this located ? To try to answer all of your questions: It was located on the midway between HBL and RT. It was probably 50 or so feet long and was a great shaded area. A small portion of it is now located behind Migilla Gorilla's Grill. (Do I have that right?) Likely they removed it just for the sake of a facelift. Since PKI seems to like the layout they have and not really expand, things have to be removed in order to make way for new things... sounds like almost too simple of an answer, but it's very logical.
  4. Rumor has it that they'll begin testing it with people as early as opening day.
  5. I think the parade is great! I probably saw it as many times as some of the employees on here and it never really got old. They truely know how to put on quite a show that will make you walk away feeling like a million bucks.
  6. None... for all we know, it could have been a misprint and they meant F/O.
  7. I'd bet the world on you're 2006 prediction, but I have my doubts about the 07 expansion.
  8. To answer as many of your questions as possible: Yes, the trains were stored in the FoF drum. It was nearly impossible to see them without the maintainance lights being on in there, but it they more or less lined the outside of the drum. The reason why TOGO, or at least PKI's TOGO was a piece of crap was because it was the only TOGO owned by PP that used Japanese steel, which is of lesser quality than American steel. No other Paramount Parks have the same problems with their versions.
  9. For some of our best meeting days, we've had about 30 or so people there. I'm sure if we were able to offer something special and advertised it correctly we could pull of having enough people to rent out a shelter or justify having some sort of special tour.
  10. PKI's was sold to a park in Australia. Someone please elaborate on that...
  11. They're all pretty much right, Hablo. I mean, you're into parks, it's a park... you're pretty bound to have a good time regardless of the crappyness level. Probably my best memory of SFKK was when I went up there last year with DirtySteve. We went to this foot court there and got our food. When it was time to be rung out, this guy at the register asked if I had a Six Flags season pass because apparently they offer food discounts to passholders. Now, I wasn't try to start **** with the dense little Six Flags boy, but just jokingly, and partially to make conversation, I responded with, "I've got a Paramount season pass, what will that do for me?" He looked at me really confused and asked, "Is that the same thing as a Six Flags season pass?"
  12. Simon Cez and yes, it's terrible.
  13. Wild Thornberries is the best. Nothing beats bobsleding.
  14. I've never been to Holiday World, but I've also never heard anything bad about it. I'd say you're better of there or at CP.
  15. ^ This is possible, but it did operate for a while after the incident. I'm willing to say that it was removed because it had very low ridership after the accident.
  16. I think you said that you're from around here... well, if you're from the Cincy area, it's not too bad for a one time thing. At least you get to up your coaster count, but it's definitely not worth a drive for more than an hour or two.
  17. Hablo, seriously... remember when you were little and you first got the training wheels off of your bike and in your inexperience, you fell and scraped your knee into a bloody mess? Yeah, that was probably about 10x more fun than SFKK. Grease' Lighnin' isn't bad, but you can tell that it's so poorly maintained that you'll almost feel unsafe on it. T2 is just one big kick in the junk after another, and Chang really lacks personality. Note that if they do happen to be busy, the lines will take forever since they only run one train on everything. Other than that, have fun! lol
  18. My warmest memory is dragging my older sister on the Flight Commander (who had never been flipped over on any type of ride at all at the time) under the condition that I wouldn't make the thing barrel roll. Well.. you guessed it... I made it barrel roll and she wasn't happy and slapped me or something, so in response, I flipped the thing upside down and kept giggling the joystick back and forth to keep it upside down for the rest of the ride. Needless to say, she wasn't very happy. The queue line would go through a small underground queue house near the food stands that Drewbari's talking about and then you would spiral around the base of the ride and end up on the inside of the ride. By that I mean that you would be standing with your back to the center of the ride facing outward looking at the cars. They had individual cages for each car what went all the way up similar to Face/Off's. Click here to see the remains of the queue house. These photos were taken with permission of the park, I wouldn't advise going back there and exploring without permission. You may notice that the queue basically crashes into a a cement wall. That was where the staircase began, but the whole base of the of the pad was filled with concrete with the installation of Eurobungee. You can also click here to check out the 1990 media day debut of the Flight Commander. Hope this helps, Ryan
  19. I remember riding it just a few times the season before it sat SBNO for a whole year. To think, it was replaced by a climbing wall that's not even there anymore...
  20. M@ilman pointed it out to me, so he can probably clairify a bit better, but when you're half way up The Vortex's lift hill, if you look to your right there's apparently a support sticking a foot or so out of a footer. Apparently it's near a bush and hard to see..
  21. On the contrary, there are pieces of The Bat in the park, just not in a pile. The footers still exist under The Vortex, and there are even a few spots where the supports are sticking out of the ground a little bit.
  22. As you guys have seen, our recent policy has been to move topics of importance to the front page news instead of creating new topics and giving the original poster credit. As a result of this, we ask that, if you make a post and you think that it may be something that's front page worthy, please elaborate on it and check your spelling and grammar. The moderation on these forums does reserve the right to edit the spelling and grammar of any post that we move to the front page, but we don't want to elaborate because that's destroying the content of your original posts. Although not every topic is worth bumping the previous news post, if you think that your topic may make it to the main page, at least throw some effort into it and make yourself look like the intellegent individual that you are!! Thanks, Ryan
  23. School of Rock looks like it may be THE show of the 2005 season... I'm really looking forward to that!!
  24. Ah, and RingMaster brings up tough question #3: Since Paramount claims to have family parks but also has suggestive themes, do you think that the rating of the ride should not only indicate the experience, but the theme as well?
