  1. Nothing scientific here. Here are a couple of numbers found out today: If you are in line from the very point UNDER the DB sign until you get in the station = 1 hour. The line just never stops! Dispatch time from when one train left the station until the next train left = I timed ALOT of these and the fastest one was 1:30 seconds! Entire ride time, from the second it leaves the station to the time it gets back STOPPED in the station: 4:06 (this is a high average, this was done on a sort of stacked set) Ride time. Timed from when one train leaves station until it stops on the brakes after the splashdown = 2 mins on the dot. Lift time = 45 seconds Ride time = After lift to the brakes after the spashdown = 1:15 seconds This is what happens when your bored with a cell phone while waiting in line. Anyone have anything else to add? Bill
  2. I seen 3 members from the site in line for The Beast. One of them had a very well made KICentral tshirt on but the names all escape me. I seen another member near DB with KICentral duct taped to his back. And bright and early in the morning as we were waiting in line to even get into the park, Kittenpooh and I ran into 2 other KIC members wearing home made tshirts. Again, the names escape me. Seen Cory, CoastersRZ, Dane, Ryan, Jesse (avatar), who seemed to be having some season pass issues, like ALOT of poeple did that morning. Seems when people were checking in, the pass was coming up as a 2010 pass! I caught a LOT of pretty upset people with this problem yesterday morning. Kittenpooh being one of them. Also seen Gabe, who took a spin on DB with me after Kittenpooh left me. We also met Rex from Rex and The Beast. And also ran into the best Budday in the world, Ronny (gordon bombay) who was helping hand out the free shirts! My apologies if I forgot anyone.
  3. Am I crazy? Or am I the only person who thought it was a little bumpy?
  4. I just did that very thing today! Get ETICKET, print it out, goto the park and get your pic taken. Line was SUPER long tonight! Expect the same tomorrow.
  5. Reminds me of the move "The Ring" I think.

  8. Got a chance to go to the game today and even though it was cold AND they lost, I still had a great time. Heading to the park. This brick is on the outside of the park at the entry plaza. My father, who passed away in 1998, was a HUGE Reds fan and I bought this brick in his memory. Handing out free posters as you walked in. Already in the park at this point, I snapped a pic of all the people still waiting to get in. New this year, the park has a $1 menu. $1 hot dog, drinks and popcorn along with some other stuff. Needless to say, this stand was a mob scene during the whole game. The people behind the counter could not keep up with the demand. At one point, I waited in line here for 40mins! One of the few times I was glad I had a "cheap seat" since it was under shelter! While most of the people in the stadium were getting rain/misted on, I was comfortably dry in my seat for the whole game! National Anthem Flag on the field during the National Anthem. Another view of the flag. Yet another view. Nick Lachey throwing out the ceremonial first pitch. And the official first pitch of the 2009 Reds season. The new HD scoreboard is a beauty! The now "Pepsi free" tall stacks since it is now a Coke stadium. During "God Bless America" Thanks for reading! Bill
  9. Hey now! I did not even know they were filming in there! HAHA!
  10. I was part of the media team at KI (along with Ryan, Ronny and Gabe) taking video/photos of the buses. Three hours later, I caught the front bus in Colerain doing a regular Metro route! Small world.
  11. Screamin' Demon for me as well. Eyes closed the whole time!
  12. With some people wanting to buy a counter to keep track of opening day rides on DB, and others wanna tweet there counts to the web, I am wondering how many spins do you WANT to take vs. how many spins you WILL take. I see it being a very crowded day (weather permitting) and with that, I am not thinking you will need a counter/tweet to keep track of your DB rides. But I sure hope I am wrong! I passed the park for the first time since they started testing DB last night. Heading north on 71, I was looking at the other people in the cars next to me, heads all turned toward the park! I funny sight indeed. (guess you had to be there!)
  13. I cant make out what he is saying at the beginning of the that one. Is it "quit that" maybe?
  14. I love the "PHOTO BY AVATAR" watermark. As for my driving, I got you there, didnt I? As for pics of Dane, you seen one pic, you seen them all!
  15. Yeah, it was crazy, we all spent so much time together and never got any names!
  16. Well since I was a part of your group, I will just add my content to your post. First, it should be known that I was 2 mins late for the tour and because of that, I was told I was not allowed to join the group on the tour. Unlike some people I know that would run in after the group anyways, I took the news with a smile on my face, got back in the car and waited for the group I would be attending the Great Wolf buffet with. I had a LOT of fun hanging out with all of you. If you have never had the Great Wolf buffet before, it is a MUST do! Please note that you do not need to be a guest at the hotel to eat at the buffet. It cost $20 a person but so VERY VERY worth it! Here are some pics I took from the day along with a video I made. Jesse and Ronny cleaning off "clbehymer's" car after the Jungle Jims tour. She had a long ride home and they were being nice guys and cleaning off her windows....in the rain....where they would get wet again! Cory doing the same thing for my car. Thanks cory! And thank you Ronny for only doing HALF of my front window! All or nothing buddy....all or nothing! Best buffet I ever had in my life! Ronny and his childs plate. Notice the rainbow edges and the smile face fries! Server asks me what I would like to drink, I say Dr.Pepper. He says we dont server Dr.Pepper. HUH!?!?!? Cory and the bear. Gabe and the killer snow scraper. Do not make the Gabe mad. Krazy City time. Random Krazy City More randomness. Even more Last time I seen this much cheese was on my 3-Way at Skyline. And finally my raw footage from Krazy City. A little slow in spots, but it was still one of the better days I have had in a very long time!
  17. Did you eat at Coasters? I am trying to get a group together to stay there during Ride Warriors. Was coasters any good?
  18. Sorry, as the Kings Island web site says, any member of the KICentral community interested in going to the event had to have been a registered member before Feb. 1, 2009. Also, only one person per account. The official Kings Island website lists other approved enthusiast organizations that you can still join today and be able to make it to the event. Check out that website by clicking here. Let me know if I can be of anymore assistance to you. Bill
  19. Mine was 17 times in a row. Only time I got out of the train was to get into a different seat. It was a weekday during the last day of weekly operation about 4 or 5 summers ago. Went up after work and found an empty park waiting for me. Decided then and there to non-stop The Beast. I am hoping the same thing can happen to me in the early weeks of May for DB, but that is totally wishful thinking. It does sound nice!
  20. I do remember them asking Carmen Electra if she would be one of the first riders back at the Walk Of Fame Q & A. Could it actually BE her?
  21. VERY cool of you to share that with us! I assume that is you in both pics?
  22. I think this is a GREAT idea and I am totally down for throwing in some money towards this. We really need to get something organized going!
  23. We can thank Ryan, Dane and Don for setting everything up. We can thank Dane for ordering the food/supplies and setting it all up. We can thank Tom for that sound system he brought in. We can thank Robbie for his Coney Island speech. (Robbie, many props to you, I would never have the nerve to stand in front of that many people and do a speech. Virtual golf clap to you) We can thank Gabe for making sure the Diamondback video got restarted. We can thank Ronnie for taking the official photos of the event. But when the dust settled, one person was overlooked. This is an official THANK YOU from the KIC team to Jesse Marchbanks, also known as Avatar. Jesse drove from Indianapolis to attend the event, but little did he know, he would become the official server. Taking it upon himself, he served almost everyone in line with a smile on his face and waited until the very end to grab his food and finally sit down. Jesse is honestly one of the very best people you can ever hope to meet. I am proud that he is a member of this wonderful website and I am even prouder that I can call him a friend. Thank you Jesse. You truly are the man! And finally, a little behind the scenes photo action I took last night.... All the Subway in the back of the van. My van STILL smells like it! Unloading the food. This is what Dane and I did while the rest of you were touring GWL. The set up. Ready to be eaten! Tom...The sound guy. Gabe, the Diamondback video reset guy. The media team in action. The crowd. Ronny, because he didn't think I would! HAHA King Cobra Sign. I really miss that ride! And finally, to the group of guys near the front who did not clean up there table after the event, and they know who they are, no worries, I got that for you. Thanks for reading! Bill
