  1. Its down and you don't need to know why. It's that simple.

Interesting. So do you take this approach with with every product you buy into?

"Sir, the burger you want is not available even though Its on the menu. No I will not tell you why. Have a nice day though"

Let us know when you buy Drop Tower

The fact that the ride being down has nothing to do with you is the reason why you don't need to know. You're paying to enter the park, you're not paying for all the rides to be operating that day, don't you read the back of your ticket/pass?

Why are you treating this like its some conspiracy theory?

  2. Sadly most of America can't do 20 pushups, so just verbal attacks will have to suffice..

Where did that statistic come from

I look at it like this, I'm an adult and some kids/preteens just made their way up in the line, me waiting 1 more ride cycle isn't going to break my back. No need to ruin peoples day. If adults are cutting in line, same thing one ride cycle isn't going to ruin my day why risk a confrontation that might escalate to a physical altercation over 1 ride wait time.

If you're really ready to risk a physical altercation over 1-2 people cutting in line then I really have no idea why you go out in public.

Of course if there's 10+ group of people cutting in line its a little different.

  3. Aight time for answers

CP Gay Day is unofficial and is indeed on farthers day and is during public operation(though I'm actually thinking about making a committee and making a pride night for CP)

KI pride night USE to be unofficial and during public operation, this was changed many years back and is now held as a private event on a bought out day in September.

If this is your first time visiting KI Pride Night, it is a very nice night to go, you'll meet wonderful people, wait times are nearly non-existant, you don't have to worry about being judged for being openly gay since the park is closed to the general public.

Yes anyone can attend, all you have to do is purchase a Pride Night Ticket, season pass nor a regular ticket will gain you entry to the event.

The ticket sales go to the Cincy GLBT center and from there covers the costs of next year Pride night + center costs

KI will REMOVE protesters and people looking to ruin our night. We haven't had much trouble except for 1 year when a group of people from a church gained entry to the park and were handing out pamphlets(which is actually against KI rules) and they were ejected from the park in a timely matter.

List of things that go on Pride Night that don't go on Normal operating days.

Drag queen show in the festhaus

Music blasted throughout the park on all speakers(usually a DJ does this, its usually techno gay club mixes)

Eiffel Tower lit up in rainbow.

Water Park & Kids Area & Dinosaurs Alive are closed

The park is open til midnight(I'm making a suggestion to extend this to 2am)

Karaoke in the festhaus(this has happened off n on from year to year)

    Rainbow Flags everywhere

Openly display about your sexual orientation without the fear of being ridiculed

    Drag queens riding rollercoasters

  5. The same ones as last year, honestly.

I understand that you're excited about the new season coming, but its best to not crowd the forums with multiple different topics. Also, if you were to pose another question like this, it would go best under the section "KI Polls".

How rude can you get? Hes asking if anyone has any insight on what new prizes are in store for the 2014 season. Your "The same ones as last year" statement is false, new prizes come in every year, sometimes in mid season as well. Take that attitude out of here.

Don't be surprise to see some purple minions from Disciple Me 2.

  6. If your friend visits your house and he slips and falls on your wet floor, he sustains an injury and needs surgery. Who's responsible for his medical costs?

If you visit a pool and slip and fall on wet concrete, you sustain an injury and need surgery. Who's responsible for your medical costs?

Answer both these questions and then apply them to this story.

Its simple, man goes to baseball game. Man gets hit in the eye with a flying object that he had no control over and sustains actual medical injury and needs 4,800 dollars worth of surgery. Are you saying the man should pay 4,800 out of his pocket ? Say this happened to you, would you pay 4,800 dollars out of your pocket?

  7. Did someone seriously just say Diamond Back's second restraint safety are the tilted seats?

No, last time I checked DB has 2 separated locking systems for the lap bar.

(but yes fun fact, just like on Son of Beast, You do not need to be secured by a lap bar to stay on the ride)

  8. Sounds like a fun night! I'll be going by myself, will I stick out like a sore thumb? I don't want to be "that guy" the only single person there.

Trust me, you will not be the only guy there solo, you'll actually meet people there(Its kind of hard to keep to yourself that night)

Usually within 30mins of being at the park, I have a riding partner or I've been invited to join a group.

  9. I have never been to Pride Night at Kings Island. Am I right in assuming wonderfully choreographed dancing happens all around the Royal Fountain?

    haha, maybe ;)

if you wanna see a wonderfully choreographed show, dont miss the drag queen show in the festhaus, its always fun, and I think some people sing afterwards.

  10. Okay so turns out I was wrong, I posted in BB1's goodbye thread stating that the "rumors of next years attraction threads" usually dont bring on an intense mood change on KIC, but at last you guys have proven me wrong! We got people in this topic from wannabe mod patrolling, accusing people of being criminals, hosting the first ever roller coaster 2014 of Kings Island jeopardy, slandering others names....

Im sure the list could go on, but cant we all just wait til August 8th? enough with the finger pointing of who got the best photo of the blue supports or who didnt trepass to snap a photo of the supports. I think I speak for many when I say, take a chill pill.

  11. What is it with Kings Island and not making season passes valid for any other event they do?? I remember they used to say not valid for The Haunt and they weren't valid for Winter Fest.

Seems stupid to me, but from what I remember from working there it always has a good turn out, and that was over 5 years ago :)

its actually not KI who puts on this event, its the Cincy GLBT center, we choose not to make season passes vaild because the ticket sales of pride night go towards the operations at the GLBT center. (we buy out the park, so all ticket sales go towards GLBT center, not KI)

Ah ok :) that makes sense. I thought it was another case of KI being stingy LOL.

Nope nope, not at all, we are very blessed that the park lets us rent out every September, hope you come out!
