  1. Personally if there were anything new coming into the park, i think it would be placed over by fof where the old helo pad was. there is nothing but a huge field back there.
  2. Are you kidding the old head sup wasn't even tall enough to ride FOF. Just messing love ya elf!!
  3. I'm sorry but the best crew of all time was Vortex Action Thearter in 2003!! Remember "East Coney" Hablo? So many of us got promoted to supervisors and a lot became certified trainers. VAT '03 ROCKED!!!
  4. Do know how much gas that would save me? I drive 45 minutes there and back everyday during the summer. I fear I will fall asleep driving home one of these days.
  5. I would have to say the worst rumor was that the Ex head sup of FOF in 2003 was leaving. It made me sad, James I miss you.
  6. I'll be there but only to run Flight of Fear. It should be alot of fun.
  7. "Welcome back Flight of Fear riders. As your train comes to a complete stop, please unbuckle the seat belt and push up on your restraint. Any items left while riding will be down the hall and to the left." "Please keep moving, an attendant will help you into the station, please keep moving." "Loose articles are not permitted, you may hand articles to an attendant but we are not responsible for them. Thank you." "Patrick. Why did you steel my pickle?" "It wasn't me...AHH! It's me!!" "Those 3D glasses are property of Paramount's King's Island." "Where's The Beast?" "Umm follow The Beast tracks." And my personal favorite. "Where's the Eiffel Tower?" "Turn left, walk three feet and look up."
  8. Those speed lane passes they give out is supposed to help the park know what the general public enjoys about the park. It's sort of a takeoff on the "Nelson" rating system. And people don't just go up the exit and get on any ride. The driver has to give them a time they can come back to ride, technically they have to wait like anyone else, just not in line. But the only hand out ten a day. Really all it does is give feedback about what people like and don't like about the park. truly, Tif
  9. You know I don't appreciate all the gabs towards eurobunggy. I used to work that ride, and I was the one that was there when the last power cord snapped. It was a great thrill ride for little kids or the Sling Shot addics of the future. Anyway I hate to admit this but Sling Shot was awesome. Considering it took dirtysteve a good half hour to get me on the death trap. Regardless it was good.
  10. If King's Island were to pick certain minors to work in ride and not allow others, they could be brought up on discrimination charges. They can't rightfully say to a kid that you can't work in rides because we find you incompetant of operating a rollercoaster. Some kid will walk in there and cry discrimination, I almost garuntee it. I see their only choice either being; A) Keep hiring on minors, or Not to hire minors at all. I beleive that on a popular ride, it's the Supervisor that should deside who can be mature enough to run the ride and who is just not responsible enough, no matter their age. ~Tif~
  11. Ok this isn't really funny, but it's sick and i think you all will enjoy it. On my 2nd day of work last year, I was at Vortex checking restraints. Well Vortex has a reputation for making you sick when you ride. I was the only one on load side when we got the record for the most vomit in one hour. 12, yes, 12 people throw-up on Vortex in one single hour, and me being the only soul on loadside, I had to spray out the cars every blessed time! And on my first time spraying out the train, the nozzle popped off and i was soaked from head to foot on a breezy April morning! Yah for me! I will never eat Skyline again, that stuff looks nasty the second time around. ~Tif~
  12. Personally I think this will be a great move for King's Island, having people over 18 in rides. That way they will all be able to handle the responsibility of it. The only thing that suck about the park getting rid of minor is, that over half of the rides department is fill with them. Frankly most people 18 and over look for more serious work, not just a "summer job". Besides i don't think the maturity level of minors is the only factor why King's Island is doing this. Have you ever had a crew of 11 people and at least 8 or 9 of them have to go on break between a three hour period, or you could minor violate them. It royally sucks to have a whole crew of minors and your left without a break on a 15 hour shift. I believe BoddaH1994 has a valid point, if you have to be 18 to operate certain machinery, what should be the difference when operating a rollercoaster?
  13. A fello supervisor of mine that works at "Tiques" confirms that rumor. But you all didn't hear that from me . And there is talk of something new entering Coney in 05 but i don't know what that is.
  14. I say Face Off because when the fire works go off, it's awesome when you see nothing but a black sky and sparks flying, and you can't tell which wat is up or down. I rode it on the 4th of july during the night of fire and i was in heaven. Tif
