  1. Well does anyone know if they have any more concept pictures of the park. Paramount did have a park down under but it closed this year. As I said on Coaster Buzz do you think they will copy any of the rides that are in the Paramount Parks now. I can see SOB in Japan with a different name and trains.
  2. Exactly. At my home park (Six Flags Great America),land prep work for Raging Bull started in late August of 1998. Footers were poured in late Sept./Early October. The lift structure was started inbetween Thanksgiving and Christmas, with all of the supports/trackwork completed by the middle of February. Heck, the footers for our Superman Ultimate Flight weren't poured until December! If Kings Island builds a coaster for 2005, I wouldn't expect to see footers until sometime in Sept. Remember people, it is only July! The only reason a coaster would be started this early would be if it were going to be absolutely massive, or if it would be *extensively* themed(not unlikely).
  3. Yes it would be great if they would add Powerpuff Girls & Johnny Bravo to HB Land. Kings Island at this time only have the rights from 1985 to the past with AOLTW. For all of you HB fans 4 charters will be at the Reds Game on July 31, 2004 the games open at 11:15 you can have your picture taken with Hong Kong Phooey, Yogi Bear, Fred Flintstone, George Jetsons before the game for Boomerang day. Also I see they have updated the look of the charters from what they looked like at Kings Island just alittle.

    Funny rumors

This was not a rumor but a survey in the park 2 years ago asking if you would eat in a theme restaurant where Wings is at. I think the themes where. 1. Nick Toons 2. HB 3. Brady Bunch 4. Star Track
  5. I would put the train ride back to what it look like in 1972. Get ride of the trees in front of International street. Also I would take out the Nick stage area and the water maze. Then I would add more flowers back into the park.
  6. My Top 5 rides 1. Monster 2. Beast 3. Flying Eagles 4. Tumble Bug 5. The old Train Ride in the Wild West :cowboy:
  7. Looks like the Parade that Kings Island had when I was a kid with HB. If Paramount can keep this up with entertaiment and new themed rides. Kings Island will be a movie theme park.

    Ferris Wheel

Why not put it Where FC was at? There is more room their for a big ferris wheel if they take out the baseball game and 3d laser tag game.
  9. They did have something for the Kids during the day and Teens and Parents at night time. :offtopic: Does anyone know why they have turned off the water fall in the lake of the Antiques Cars? You can still see the water fall when you get off of the ride. It looks like alot rocks at the top of the lake.
  10. Last year for Fear-Fest Kings Island whated to bring in the little kids so the hole Family could come to the park. When they started I think it was called Scoobys Trick or Treat back in the late 90s.
  11. I also have a tape of Beast on 3/4 tape. Right now it has no sound but the picture looks great. The tape has to be from when the water was taken out under the ride. It has the whole ride from the front seat and also video from the video at the park. At this time I will not be making copys at this time do to the fact that I have one good copy and the other is on 3/4 tape which they do not make a player for any more. Plus I need the rights to sell the video seeing that Kings Island(Paramount Parks) still owns the rights.
  12. 9 Hours. I live in Menominee, Michgan. (Thats the U.P. of Michigan, not lower Mi.) It takes about 9-10 hours to drive to Cincy from home. Thats why I can only get to PKI once a year, only when we visit our relatives in Cincinnati. This year it looks to be Labor Day weekend again.
  13. I think the sign will look like the one at PW themed to the movies. I will be at the park tommorrow.

    Myths

All I have to say is... ouch. They did that on the one in Six Flags over Georgia. Its a bicycle seat basicaly that you strattle. Man does that hurt when you hit the brakes cause you are still trying to go down. ^---Yep Though not about PKI, I have a friend that is trying to tell me that the Demon at Six Flags Great America got stuck in a loop last year while we were on it. She thinks I'm crazy because I don't remember! Even though it did get stuck in a loop once, that was years ago!

    Top 10

The ever popular top ten list...... 1.) The Beast 2.) Flight of Fear 3.) Face/Off 4.) Vortex 5.) Top Gun 6.) Monster 7.) Eiffel Tower (great view! ) 8.) Racer 9.) Adventure Express 10.) Train
  16. Mine is definately the Monster. I love the types of rides where basically every part of the ride spins. I also really like SR&R and Scrambler.
  17. Quote: Scooby Doo Yeah if you look Real Closely to The Vortex Train Shelter doors while your waiting inside The Vortex car for the other Train to leave the station you can see The Bat Logo but it has been painted over I think that you can also see where The Bat's track went through the storage doors. If you look towards the top of the doors, you can see what looks like a half moon cut-out of the doors where the track used to enter.
  18. 1.) The Beast 2.) Flight of Fear 3.) Face/Off 4.) Vortex 5.) Top Gun 6.) Monster (I love this ride!) 7.) Adventure Express 8.) Racer 9.) White Water Canyon 10.) Shake Rattle & Roll(this one too!) I still havn't been on TRTR, SOB, Delirium or Drop Zone. Every time I go(once a year) the lines for these rides are outrageous, so thats why I haven't been on them yet. Areas: 1.) Rivertown 2.) Old Coney 3.) International Street 4.) Action Zone 5.) Octoberfest
  19. First of all, I didn't ride my first coaster until 7th grade because I live nowhere near a theme park. I always remember my friends who had been to Great America would always talk about how awesome roller coasters were. I finally got to my first theme park(PKI) in 1998. I remember going up the lift on The Beastie. It felt so slow and I was wondering why everyone loved these things so much. Then we went over. After the ride I was totally blown away. I ended up going with my uncle and found myself on The Beast not more than 15mins later. It scared the s**t out of me, but after that ride on Beast, I was hooked.

  21. Merry Chrismas everyone! Just keep looking forward to that wonderful day in April!
  22. I remember reading somewhere that Racer at PKI and Rebel Yell at PKD are basically the same layout, except the Rebel Yell's turnarounds don't fully split off like Racer's do. I'm not too sure about the Ricochet wild mice coasters being identical. Otherwise, I know that Invertigo at PGA has the same layout as Face/Off!
  23. #3) From what I've read, I think that there used to be a dolphin show on that pond. Maybe that path used to be for the dolphin show?? As for old structures, I finally found a few of The Bat's footers under Vortex the last time I was there
