Hey all, I know it's been a while since I've posted, but some things have been going on in my life, and I really haven't had the time. That leads me to my idea for a couple new areas in the forums. What if we had a members area in which we could post about things that are going on in our lives that we want the other members to know about. For example a couple months ago I could've posted that I wasn't going to be able to post for a while, and let people know a little bit about what was going on. Also, this could be an area for announcements such as when Chef became a father. My other idea is a forum in which new member can come and introduce themselves, so that they can give us a little information about themselves before they have to jump in to the PKI Central waters. I think these could be good in helping the forum members come together as a community. I realize that neither of these ideas are really PKI related, but I think that in a situation like this (especially one where members meet at the parks and interact in real life) that it is important to have a very strong sense of community. Just let me know what you think.

I actually enjoy Family Guy every once and a while, but you have to admit that most of the time it's just a bunch of gay jokes or race jokes.

I heard that there's a graveyard of sorts at PKI where they keep old theming and pieces from old rides and what not. Is this true? If so where is it, and does anyone have pictures? Also what all is out there? I've heard there are PT characters and some Smurfs, but that's all I've heard about.

I've found that Wednesday's are usually the deadest time at PKI.

Well it's not technically closed. It can be rented for special occasions and they routinely use it for corporate meetings. Also, last year they opened it for the "Dinner with a View" for Nights of Fire.

My fiance never experienced DoT. I'll have to make sure that we go. When does it start?

I'm still waiting to receive it in the mail. They said that prizes were determined at a later date so they didn't know what they'd be sending me. I'll let you know when it comes.

Just thought I'd let you all know that I called into Gary Burbank's show on 700 WLW AM (Cincinnati) today and I asked a question about PKI during the segment called "Sports or Consequences". It's a trivia part of the show and they always have a theme each day. Today's was Cincinnati Landmarks. I asked how KI convinced John Allen to design The Racer. I stumped them and won a prize. Thought you might want to know. (BTW I'm not sure which forum is the proper one to put this in, so if a mod decides to move it I won't be offended.)

Scooby gives back the suggestion of Scabby

I've been on the Scooby ride at Carowinds, and I have to say that I did not like the cars at all. The cars having two rows is not a good choice in my opinion. I prefer our cars over their cars any day of the week.

I personally like our cars better than those on the other Scooby rides. Plus if they would have put in the other type of car the ride would not have the capacity per hour that it currently has because each car would have to be stopped instead of them staying in continuous motion.

Those are some really nice pictures. I may be stupid, but what is the picture that's on the front page of the site? What ride is that? I thought it was the Zephyr, but for some reason that doesn't seem right.

I'm not sure what to think about this place. Has anyone ever had a change to eat at a Chippery? I'd like to know what others think.

Well if it is true that they are only removing the one side of the ride that means they're going to have to retrack to other side. To me it make more since to move the side they want to continue to operate to another location. I don't know where that location should be, but I think it needs to be somewhere close to Nick Central/HB Land. If they would do this it would give them more land to put a nice new coaster on (maybe a flyer like BORG at Carowinds) and it would put the cars in an area that is more accessible to their target riders.

I don't think they would be forced to pay to use Wilson as a caption on the website. Also, since it's a man's name I don't think they'd have to pay anyway.

That is a huge statement. Perhaps in 10-15 years, but not a few. Unless PKI puts in some big bucks- like about $100 million- to be considered in the class of Disney of Universal. I guess that I should explain my thinking. Right now PKI is really just a top of the line coaster park. However, I think with this recent shift toward family experiences (Scooby, Sponge Bob 3-D, Boomerang Bay, and the Nick Parade), better theming (TR:TR is a prime example), and better shows (The magic and stunt shows last year and the movie show this year) I think that PKI will become more than just a world class coaster park. I think it's going to become more of an all-inclusive park that centers more on the experince of being there and being in the movies rather than on building the biggest coaster.

Shouldn't the last picture read "Wilson, is that you?" not "Spalding, is that you?"

I went to see it and I definitely think it was worth my twenty minutes. I thought it was very interesting but I wish it was a little longer. I'd like to know how to get to be the ones on stage. Anyone got any ideas as to how to be the lucky people to get on stage.

I heard someone say that anyone is welcome if they buy a ticket. Where would one buy a ticket, and how much is it?
