  1. Can't wait to watch Way Too Much TV. That's a great show! I won the button at the last show last year! This is probably King's Island's 3rd or 4th best show of all time!
  2. I have a dream about Kings Island or a coaster at least once a week.
  3. Yes, I rode the upgraded version yesterday and really enjoyed it!
  4. I wish it did have them. Real ones! I'd zap everyone of those annoying dolls and zap every speaker, and then No Mo annoying song! lol
  5. I wish I could've come out in these last 2 weeks during these dead times. The weather has just not permitted it. With gas being high, I didn't want to take a chance and not have rides open due to storms and such. I plan to go next week and the following week, though.
  6. How about just because, It's Fun?
  7. This is quoted from NAPHA's Facebook page. "The Warren County dispatch center confirmed a fire at Kings Island Tuesday evening, although a woman who answered the phone at the Kings Island security office said there was no fire and refused to answer any questions." Sort of Strange!
  8. Canada's Wonderland WindSeeker is now open. If you go there, make sure you have a passport, though!
  9. I am not sure if anyone has mentioned this or not. Boo Blasters on Boo Hill has been completely renovated this year! Last year, I thought it was quite lack luster and boring. They have done quite a bit of work on it this year, and it actually looks quite good. Although, today, the mist section was not working properly. I don't know if they have discontinued that scene or not. They have done a lot of new paint and new things inside there. They have new pop ups in the que area. They have quite a bit of new things in the scenes. If you have not rode that yet this year, check it out. It's a lot better than it was last year, for sure! Good job on the re-do of that, Kings Island!
  10. Some of the ones who had that today were showing 25 minute wait times for SOB and WindSeeker. Is it all that accurate?
  11. That happened to Vortex a few years ago. It was down for several days waiting for a new chain to arrive.
  12. I am doing a Georgia trip Memorial weekend and intend to do the new Dare Devil Dive. That's my most anticipated new coaster of this year! I am also heading to Holiday World for my 2nd time of the year to do Holiwood Nights. I also plan to go back to Dollywood at least 2 or 3 more times and hope to add Carowinds, too. If things go well, I wouldn't rule out Florida later in the year after our season ends. Of course will be hitting CP a few times as well!
  13. I agree 100%! Coney Mall does give the feeling of nostalgia at night. It almost reminds you of the old Coney Island in New York and of course Cincinnati and parks like that! The rides all have nice light packages that look so cool all lit up!
  14. I would love to get over on one of these dead days, but Mother Nature seems to have got her M months mixed up and thinks it's March! It feels more like March than May! Maybe KI could use this as a test to consider opening in March!
  15. Even though I'm not happy about the dinos, I do think the commercial is well done. It reminds me of the old commercials of The Beast and Bat of over 30 years ago. It's that good of quality!
  16. This topic reminds me of a great GP line I heard last night, Friday the 13th, 2011. We were walking out of the exit of Adventure Express, and nearby is a Skyline advertisement, and the young man goes, "huh, I wonder why they are advertising Skyline Chili in Kings Island?" I couldn't keep from laughing. I was going to proceed to tell the young man that there was a Skyline Chili just down the way, but he walked away too quickly. Must have been his first visit to the park.
  17. I thought these 2 quotes of yours fit pretty good...and it answers your question of why the park will probably never put the food prices on the app. Actually, I discussed it with PR, and they said they're considering it, but not sure if will work logistically, as prices change from time to time and so forth, and it's a hard thing to code into the system. Also someone else had a great idea about putting wait times on the app, like something you might see at a Disney park. That's probably a little sophisticated for Kings Island. Would be nice to have on crowded days, but most days probably wouldn't need it. Most of the rides are generally a 15-20 minute wait tops on most days anyway.
  18. I'm at the park now, and having the App is handy, because I am stuck in the Festhaus due to storms and I can get on the webcams and see what's going on outside and if the storms have passed or not. The only thing Im not sure is, it says no fireworks tonight, but it's a 10 oclock close and they're suppose to have fireworks. Could be a minor glitch or error.
  19. Although, I do have a suggestion, and it is ONLY a suggestion, not a complaint. It would be nice if they had the food prices and such. That would be for all the parks doing this, though. I know the paper version of the Fun Guide never published the prices of food and merch, so maybe that's why they didn't. But, it would be nice if they did. That way, if you're there, and you're on a budget, you can see what you can afford to spend, while you are waiting in line for a ride, and make your day go more efficient!
  20. Ok, don't everyone have a heart attack here, but I'm going to say something nice about Kings Island. This new My Park App is AWESOME! It looks very nice. Very nice graphics. Very well done. It's got pics of the rides, facts of the rides. It has a car locator, so you can find your car at the end of the day! WOW! I've only misplaced my car at a park once, and that was at Cedar Point! Won't happen anymore! You can carry this around like a fun guide, but it's much nicer than the fun guide. Before this, you could just go to the website and it would automatically send you to a similar app on your I-phone. That was nice, too, but this is way more nice! I will give them a thumbs up for creating this app! Who'd of thought the day, Electronic Fun Guides! Far cry from the hardback books Disneyland used to pass out in the 1960's! I have one of those old heirlooms!
  21. I agree with you, Gibson. I think I've said it once before. I don't know why people personally attack me. I have never personally attacked anyone on this site. I disagree with them, but I don't tell them they're idiots or they need to grow up, that's just childish behavior to tell someone that. I am very angry with the park, especially about this Action Theater mess. I know some on here have various opinions. Some agree that it should not be an upcharge, some are probably not happy with any of it at all, and others are thrilled about it. If you're thrilled about the new movie in Action theater and plan to patronize it, good for you! I choose not to, and I think its ok to tell the park WHY! I shouldn't be chastised for my beliefs and reasons for why I don't like the move, and all that.
  22. Well, as far as I am concerned, It's NOT there at all! So, what's happened is to me is, a ride that I loved has been removed and replaced with NOTHING! I intend to pretend that Action Theater is NOT even back there, and same goes for the other thing they put in back there. So, I get NOTHING!
  23. I wouldn't say it was complaining. Only suggesting and always making different suggestions about how to do it. And btw, the people who you are referring to that I talked to about it are no longer with Kings Island. NONE of them! So, this is a totally different outfit that is doing this stuff!
  24. I will give you this for sure, Robbie. This decision that I am angry about is very comparable to removing the awesome Flying Eagles and definitely canceling Winterfest. The Flying Eagles decision was a former company, though, and I can't gripe about that now. They're gone. I guess Cedar Fair took away the new Winterfest that I spent 13 years trying to get back and finally did in 2005. I talked to them every year since it was canceled in 1993, til 2004, and it finally came back in 2005. Then along came Cedar Fair and canceled it again! So, yes, the dinosaurs is probably NOT the worst decision, but since Cedar Fair, it's VERY CLOSE second worst! In Kings Island history, maybe I will say its 3rd worst.
