  1. Hey Maverick, I think you need to go to the hospital really soon to get rid of the stickupyourbuttitis you have, and replace it with a healthy dose of respectoids.

As for my opinion, I think KK is safe for this simple reason: Six Flags does not own the land of that park, that is state fairground property. So if Six Flags is to get out of their lease, nothing would change, it would just be owned by the state fairgrounds and not SF.

  2. Ok, I have to comment:

Since when did Screamscape become the all-knowing, always right place? Last time I checked, SC was a rumor mill, some things becoming true, others becoming, well, rumors. Instead of trying to belittle the park with questions about rumors, why don't we wait until a press release is brought forward before leaping to conclusions?

That being said, it would stand to REASON that this would happen, but again, nothing has been released from the park to tell us. Until then, why are we treating this like fact? *Not through this thread, but through threads in other locations.*

  3. Let me put it in these terms: I gray out almost 3 times a day anymore (from just going from a sitting to a standing position.) I have yet to go to the hospital for it because I understand exactly what it is: A gray out is when the blood quickly leaves your head for a split second, then it comes back. If constant, it may show signs of circulatory problems, however if it is forced out of your head, it is no big problem.

  4. For me, I lose all vision in my peripheral vision (I had to look it up...) and I can see just a small circle straight ahead, and I get extremely lightheaded. The first time it happened, I wasn't scared, but concerned. Now, it really doesn't bother me.

  5. The funny thing is that the Mayan calendar does not come out and say "The world is going to end." I don't remember exactly what it says, but its basically "something extremely bad will happen." So I really don't buy into it.

I'm still going to be buying presents for x-mas that year.... At least all the good stuff will be available closer to x-mas that year.....

  6. I think we can all agree that this comes down to a respect issue.

What do I mean? Well, let me explain it to those new members: If you want respect, you GIVE respect. TTD Maverick, every single one of your post that I have seen, you have bashed members who have years of experience not only on the board, but in the amusement industry. I don't know if your parent/guardians ever told you this, but SHOW RESPECT TO YOUR ELDERS! Its really frusturating to hear you come in and bash one of the most respected members on this board when you have been here for 15 days, and have a grand total of 77 posts. Let me ask you this: Out of those 77 posts, how many have actually contributed to a conversation?

What should you get out of this rant TTD Maverick? Well, since I know that you don't like riddles, I will spell it out to you: Show proper respect on these boards. Contribute to the conversation instead of trying to cause problems. Its getting really annoying.

Oh, and for the rest of the new members, I wish to tell you something: Those who dont know tell, and those who know don't tell. So if someone says something cryptic, you might want to think about it. You know, use that thing between your ears.

Tom, who knows hes stealing Terpys tagline, but is getting tired of the disrespect shown by some people.

  7. Coming from the operations side of things (and maintenance for that matter,) there were several days when I would sleep in my car due to the half hour drive from work. Get off around midnight, have to be in at 9:15 the next morning (or in maintenance, 7:00AM.) So yeah, the sleep deprivation side is definitely one of the "perks" of being in the amusement industry. And yes, working in all weather conditions (many times did I work while snowflakes were coming down...) does grate on ya after awhile. So please be nice to your associates. Remember: Without them, nothing moves...

  8. TTDMaverick,

In the past, a log on to KIC was a great trip where I could learn what is up at the park, as well as some interesting news stories without having to deal with childish rants along the way. I was using you as an example from a topic that was deleted in which the comments made from your user name were irrelevant and quite honestly childish which added nothing to the conversation (The post regarding iChase being a troll comes to mind.) If you are offended, sorry, but that is my opinion, and I have always thought of myself as the one who would stand up and say such opinions.

Now if we can all act like adults who have a passion (and wish to hear others' thoughts on the matter,) then the boards will return to the former glory that it once was. If we cannot, well, I have a feeling that the few will ruin it for the many.

  9. I think the problem is that the new members (I hate to point people out but TTDMaverick) are trying to cause problems, therefor making this place not so warm and fuzzy. Solution? Ignore said posts, and the posts will disappear. Not that we want the posters to disappear per se, but the posts definitely.

  10. HTCO, I can tell ya this: Offseason, you are right, due to retracking, during season, Just one of the woodies, nothing special.

I do not like speculating but if you were to hold a gun to my head, most likely awaiting parts.
