fan of beast

i haven't been there in 35 years. i would like to get to Camden and Kennywood this summer. the last time i went to Camden, Barbara Mandrel was there. most on here probably have never heard of her.

checked out the shack this evening. KI is mighty proud of this to charge those prices. walked right back out.

i am trying to find the music from the Ed Alonzo show. i managed to find Dream Theater. what was the music playing prior to the start of the show?

get excited all you want, KI is now Cedar Fair's red-headed stepchild. we are too close to CP to get anything big. be happy with DB, cause that is the best you will see in this park.

best coaster ever. i have had more bad experiences on The Beast than any other coaster.

What was the name of the ride that you stood against the wall as it spun and the floor would drop. i always liked that as a kid.

we used to make a lot of our own parts where i work but, now it becomes a major liability issue if a part fails and someone gets hurt.

i am just the opposite with my fear of heights. i was freaking out until it started spinning. once it started rotating, i focused on the horizontal landscape and did not look down. i have done Drop Tower a few times. i hate the ascent, but i love the drop.

i didn't see any other posts on here but, theme park review is reporting a new B & M coming to CP for 2013. has any one else heard this?

it's like that TTD rollback thing. i have seen many of them and i'm always bummed that i never had one.

Beast has been rougher than SOB for many years and people say i'm nuts. i never left SOB in pain, but i have had rides on beast where i was in pain for days. i rarely ride it and when i do, i stay in the front 2 cars and always a middle seat

I would not call SOB aggressive, i always referred to it as INTENSE.

the clock people over the Festhaus entrance do not work. i remember that from my childhood. reminds me of Frankenmuth, Michigan.

if they opened SOB tomorrow, i would be first in line. it was a great coaster with the loop. it was even better after. it was smoother when it shut down than beast is today.

i think WindSeeker is a mirage or a joke on me. 3 visits in the last 5 days and i have not seen it run with people in it yet.

there were workers crawling all over it yesterday early in the day. at about 13:00, we headed to boomerang bay. the wind on top of Tasmanian typhoon was quite strong. i have been there several times this week for a few hours at a time and haven't caught it open yet.

my 5 yr old granddaughter finally made it to the 48 inch mark. last weekend we did The Beast in the 2nd seat. then to backlot in the back seat. over to flightdeck for 2 rides, 2nd and front seats. Adventure Express, front seat. then racer in the front seat. she says no more kiddie rides for her. i finally have my newest ride warrior as her 10 yr old brother has rode a couple big rides, but really shows no interest.

while at boomerang bay, i observed a park manager sneak up to one of the pools with a flexible doll and slide it into the water face down. one of the lifeguards responded within 3 seconds. i find that very encouraging. i was a lifeguard as a teenager and that is a very difficult job to keep yourself focused.

my experience with CP is you roll the dice. i have been there on weekdays that i expected light crowds and it was packed. i would try tues. or wed. i don't know about ticket prices as i use my pass. 1 day should do it. millenium, maverick and the dragster usually have the longest lines. it could be up to 2 hrs. each. magnum and meanstreak usually have short lines. raptor is not too bad. get there early and try to get the major rides in first. if you stay at some of the CP hotels, i believe the package includes ert's.

Case in point: WindSeeker at Cedar Point is taller, grander, cost far more money and is in every way superior to that to be installed at Kings Island. Oh, wait... What was your point again? WindSeeker is not a coaster. just a mass produced gimmick.

i will not give up hope until SOB rides again. i never rode the eagles, but the way everyone talks about them, i am sorry i missed that. i really enjoyed winterfest a few seasons ago. it was sad to see that it did not return. there is so much to improve on the haunt that i wouldn't know where to start. the advertisements make it sound so great until you go and see the big letdown.
