This whole DA thing is starting to remind of Jurassic Park at IOA ...on very smaller scale..It's gonna be pretty cool. I doubt I will do it..because it seems like everything is a ''pay-as-you-play attraction'' in KI anymore. I go for the coasters and sometimes I stay with kids and let them have their fun. Still good coverage here on KIC.

Ugh...NO! I strongly dislike this! I'm not to happy with CF owning the former paramount park chain..I and my family would much rather have Spongebob Squarepants and Scooby-Doo back in the park. Sure Peanuts are awesome but some little kids have no CLUE who lucy or linus are.

I HATE upcharge attractions!!! Kings Island charges enough for parking and food(Which is why I go to Taco Bell)..and admission if you aren't a pass holder! I'm a grouch on this topic..I mean the dinos heads and tails move that's about it. Sure, It'll be cool but I don't like the idea of paying 5 bucks for that!...But I will.. just one time.. just to see what it's like. But I most of the time skip upcharge attractions(They SUCK!)..here's hoping the T-Rex doesn't break out and cause chaos in park midway.I seen something like this a while ago at the Boonshoft Museum Of Discovery in Dayton,Ohio.

Very GROOVY indeed! So, will this be like the Wild Thornberry's Rainforest Insect Adventure from 2000? Sounds awesome..wonder which dinosaur species will be at the park..sounds like a Jurassic Park Jr to me. Looking forward to it.

Not really looking forward to this... I hate to say it...but I DO miss paramount! I miss the themes! and the dark ride that replaced SDATHC is just plain sad.

I haven't been in the Action Theater in years! I can say the kids and I are sorely upset that Scooby-Doo isn't the park.Getting ask ''Where's Scooby-Doo?" a thousand time during you trip to Kings Island can get a little frustrating. Even when you explain and they still ask! What is playing in the theater these days?

I can say I am sadden and disgusted with Boo Blasters! I really tried to like it but the kids HATE IT! They kept asking Where's scooby? Where's shaggy? I really am upset over this trash of a dark ride.Scooby-Doo and The Haunted Castle was family friendly Boo Blasters is NOT! I find it funny how they say it's not in Planet Snoopy when the ride is ON the kiddie side of the park.Planet Snoopy is awesome CF did a great job on it and it's themed very well. Sorry but Boo Blasters is an Epic Fail! and an and epic atrocious fail at that!
Why couldn't they have themed the new dark ride to snoopy?!?

the coaster could be DRAMATICALLY improved if the "bowls" were removed in favor of making it a true "terrain" coaster. I think it can be salvaged into a much better experience. The roughest parts of the ride were when the track curved anyway.
It looks like a true terrain coaster to me!
Other then that the ride experience would be much better without the rose bowl. No aching pains!
I never had any pains of any kinda while riding Son of Beast. I just hope they fix whatever is wrong I really enjoy the coaster and am looking forward to the season to start!

Zoinks! This news makes me happy that I was only planning on visiting the park at least twice this season! I love Son of Beast always have and am kinda upset over it not being open this season. Planet Snoopy is great and all it's coming along nicely but I wanna take the kids to a park with cartoon character they know and love and honestly can relate to!

I strongly disagree with you sir! Scooby is what made the ride fun...and Sally Darkrides wanted to DO much much more with the haunted castle BUT, Paramount said NO!^
That looks much, much better than Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle... Most of the props in SCATHC are static. In this one, everything moves besides the walls and the ceiling. Not only this, but it has a much scarier and more interesting finale. SDATHC's ending is sort of boring, and is NOT scary.
Scary it is...INDEED!

^ Yeah I was joking! I was hoping you all would get that joke! Yeah, all I have to say around my house is ''Scooby-Doo is on'' and they come running! same with the smurfs and Spongebob.As for Peanuts they will watch at least 10-15mins of any peanuts special then they are in the back bedroom playing wii.

Well, Here are my 2 cents...
My oldest daughter thinks the idea of a Planet Snoopy is stupid she just wants scooby-doo and spongebob back!(As most middle school students would! She's been b*tching about it!) My nephew is really upset! Over the loss of Scooby-Doo! now, when I told him about snoopy he looked at me and said this ''But that's not popular anymore'' My niece is happy she likes snoopy and woodstock but they do not hold her attention for very long sure she knows of snoopy and woodstock but honestly she would rather watch the smurfs also,I think I did to well of a job brainwashing her to like scooby-doo! It's all she wants to watch! lol!

A Friend and I were talking about this the other day and we both agree a scooby-doo themed area called : The Haunted World Of Scooby-Doo! would be a kick-a$$ theme.And again I hate Family Guy with a passion...that wouldn't fit for an area targeted toward kids and families ...even if it is a joke... What about a Simpsons area or a South Park land. Or a Smurfs theme area that would rock!

Yeah I have seen these. I miss how the park was when I was younger Hanna-Barbera Land was classic, I remember Smurfs being every nook and cranny when I went when I was younger. I miss The Smurfs Enchanted Voyage I LOVED that ride... Phantom Theater was ok didn't really care for it all that much. Scooby-Doo I love how that coaster was painted yellow.
Scooby-Doo and The Haunted Castle I miss you! Scooby-Doo you were a Kings Island staple You will missed!

Just wanting to get to know you all better...What was your most exhilarating ride experience? Was it at Kings Island or another park?
For me it was when I first rode The Beast! Then I rode it at night and it was a whole different monster!

I really hope that the queue is redone. The "USE YOUR FRIGHTLIGHTS TO SCARE OFF THE GHOSTS!" spiel, along with the lack of soundproofing, made that queue one of the most inhospitable in the park. I'm also hoping that the PWOO PWOO PWOO sound effect is muted. I always held my hand over the back of the gun so it wouldn't be as loud.
Yeah, Dude blame Paramount for that! Sally wanted so much more with the scooby-doo theming! But I loved when I first rode SDATHC on opening day it was awesome unlike when Cedar Fair had the ride running with the stupid lights on! It's a DARK ride people!
