  1. It would make a good designated smoking area as well.
  2. Also there are water puddles around the Tower that are left from the water truck that sprays the park down daily. Some of the puddles don't get squeegeed
  3. I think a spinning coaster would be a great addition to the park. They could get rid of the International Showplace and put it there.
  4. I feel the park should have a centralized height checking location; the Eiffel Tower would be a great spot. It would work out great for the guests and the ride.
  5. Skyline is on International Street
  6. I agree that Communications does get any love but I didn't see Ecology as a choice to vote for. Remember we are trying to keep the park clean each and every day. We all know the type of people that come to the park and for some strange reason can't seem to find a trash can or find the opening in on the toilet. Give it up for the ecologists.

    the pay

IF you are looking to work just for the money, I recommend ECO. Its not that bad and you have opportunities to advance if you want to take that route. If you want to have fun, I still would recommend working at the park. I've been there for 5 years now and I have no complaints. I wish I would have started working there before the Americana days. Give it a try.

    Best Crew

As with Boomerang Bay, Ecology has 5 crews: Knight Riders, Garbage Pail Kids, Purple Rain, Best of the Best, Pirates of the Carribean.

    Ecology 2004

If memory serves me right, each ecology crew has approxiamately 6 Pan & Broomers, 2 Truckers and 6 restroom people spread out to cover the day. Thanks for asking.

    Ecology 2004

It's 2004 and the Ecology Department is off to a brand new start with some new faces. Let us know how you think the park is looking and give us some suggestions. Some of us are new to ecology and would like your input. Thanks and we hope you enjoy your visit to Paramount's Kings Island.
  11. I'll be sweeping my way around.

    PKI Speils

If memory serves me right, there is a spiel located within the AZ that goes off every 4 minutes. If you work at DZ, it can annoy you to death. Is that Jeff Seibert's voice? " Please no smoking, as a reminder smoking is not permitted in any line at Paramounts Kings Island. Thank you for not smoking. " May I have your attention please, this attraction is currently not operating. We anticipate a lengthy delay before the attraction will reopen. You are more than welcome to wait in line but we we suggest you visit some of our other rides and attractions. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding." "May I have your attention please: ________ is experiencing a technical delay. We do not anticipate a long delay but will keep you posted as soon as we can make an accurate estimate. IF you choose to leave the line please do so by way of the entrance. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your patience."
  13. If memory serves me right, my SN is PKIOREO. IF you have questions about how I came up with Oreo, you are out of luck. Goodbye!
  14. I miss Drop Zone for two reasons. Number one I was on the crew for 2 great seasons and number two I like seeing the guests reaction when it comes down.
  15. Speaking for myself and I hope I am unanimous in this, I would like to see PKI get rid of Eurobungy (Launch Pad). The idea was fun in the beginning but it is time for it to go. All riders have to be under 200 lbs. and that eliminates alot of guests not to mention that all the tramps never get used. Secondly I would like to see different types of food in the park. Get away from the traditional burgers and chicken tenders and come up with something innovative like never before. Finally, I would like to see employees get more benefits. It just doesnt' seem like it is enough.
  16. Well basketball officiating will keep me busy until the end of February. I will find a job to keep me busy during the day. I guess with this free time I will work on some brainteasers and guess which area I will be in for next season and start preparing for a great season. On a side note, I'm still working at the park washing those wonderful trash cans and putting ride stuff away.
  17. Hopefully the concert will not be that busy. Fearfest has been busy on Saturdays so far and looks like it will continue to do so. After the concert is over, you should have opportunities to visit some of the other attractions
  18. If my memory serves me correctly, I would have to say that all of the steel coasters at the park are pretty smooth with the exception of Face/Off. Even though I have worked on Face/Off for a couple of years, I believe it is roughest of all the coasters. For my smoothest, I would choose Adventure Express.
  19. I had a pass in 1999 but I started working at PKI in 2000 so why spend all that money when you can go anytime you want when you aren't working.
  20. If my memory serves me correctly, Face/Off was experiencing minor difficulties the other day but it is normal for Face/Off to "valley" from time to time. Some of us at Face/Off like when it "valleys" because it is a cool thing. I really can't explain to you on here why it does "valley" since I would hate to lose my job but if you want an explaination, I would be more than happy to explain it to you in another setting or you can email me. I apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding.
  21. Hey St. X, I'm glad you liked the Face/Off ride stats posted around the station. It was primarly an idea for the Math & Science Days but I see guest all the time looking for something to read while they are waiting in line. Thank you. On the other hand, I'm sorry that you didn't like Face/Off the ride that well. I hope that you will come back another time and give it a 2nd chance.
  22. If my memory serves me correctly, Drop Zone is considered a flat ride making it the best; in my opinion. However, there are some attractions in the park that could be considered "glorified" flat rides such as Face/Off.
  23. If memory serves me right, I have worked in Az since 2000. I love AZ because this is where the action takes place. Rivertown and AZ both have their advantages and disadantages but I feel AZ gets more guest pumped up when they come to the park. It is the first area of the park most guests visit due to location. Rivertown has some great attractions as well. Another reason I feel is that AZ has great associates that rock. We are one big giant happy family in the Zone. I have met a lot of great friends while being in the Zone. I know every area wants to reign supreme but we all represent the fact that we want to create those memorable experiences for guests. AZ all the way.
  24. I'm on Face/Off-Congo Falls. I'll probably be there alot since sups work alot of hours. Be sure to stop by and say hello
