I worked Fearfest when they had the whole wrist band thing. It was hell!!! There were more guest complaints this year, and it cause more people to want to jump in the lines. To control the amount of people yes it is a good idea, but overall I think the park should have learned its lesson about not doing the wrist bands.

Last year they did allow 15 yr olds to audition, but they were not cast in the houses, instead they were given the option to work the Nick-or-Treat in the day time.

For the audition you just need to bring yourself. No resume is required. Also you have to be at least 16 to work in the houses at night.

I love the fact that the number of people keeps changing. It makes me laugh a little, but I am sad that this happened

First off let me start by saying i am a "fat" person! I love roller coasters and i am in great health for being "fat" So by saying "Fat" people need to stay off roller coasters you not only made me mad but at least several other people you may consider "fat". It may have been ment as a joke I dont know, I can take a joke like the next person, but you should watch what you say! I am not saying keep it PC it was a sad event, having that boy die. My thoughts go out to the family.

If you are out of uniform and off the clock then you can, but if an associate is in uniform than they cannot watch any shows. I hope this answers your questions Also: an associate may attend an audience participation show off the clock and out of uniform but may not participate becuase prizes are awarded

As of right now there is just spirit song, cheerleading comp., and fall celebration. To my knowledge there have been no concerts scheduled. The fact that there are no concerts besides these does disapoint me because in all my years at KI there have already been some concerts mentioned by now. So maybe there wont be anything else.

When i was visiting the park today I wanted to ride the HB action ride thing by Spongebob but it was closed. also the price for Sling Shot rose during the middle of the day. Did anyone else notice that too?

It was last year for the Nick show they had. There would be 2 cars and a character would ride in each car. It was not used during the Halloween event. PTFly is right it was not used in any year of the nick parade.

Yes they all do a great job every night. They have a blast while doing it too which makes it even better. Vortex as for the actors names... if you want to give them a compliment just tell PKI what you posted on here and they will pass along the info to the correct people.

ok A_Titanic_Mess, just drop it. you are now seeming like a big jerk (to say the least) and no one will take your beginning comments seriously anymore. You are making this forum seem like i big pre-teen fight. just calm down man. yes some people on here can be harsh, but you should not take it to heart.

There is lots of work left to do for winterfest set up. so who knows there may be more additions next weekend. the only point that Woofer makes that i would support is charging for parking. I think that is something that should not be charged for. However I can see why they are. That money would cover for someone to come in and remove all the snow in the parking lot. I am sorry that some people are not having a good time at WF, but there are many who are having a good time. Honestly if you have a valid complaint go and tell guest realtions. that is why they are there.

You are entitled to your own thoughts and views, but you must realize that Winterfest has been gone for 13 years. It is being done by people who may have never worked on Winterfest before, and for that matter may have never gone to Winterfest. So you have to look at what it is now and not compare it with what was. Many of us are working our butts off just to get things done. Yes it is not perfect, but nothing is. You must realize people had less than a month to get this done. It is a big task to get the park done in a month. This year is a time for trial and error. So in conclusion, I think that the park has done a great job with the time that they had to set it up. There are also adjustments the park still needs to make. So while there may be bad reviews on Winterfest, just remember this is the first year! there are bound to be mistakes.

But if KI were to go and add decorations they would do more than a couple of hats and presents. They would go all out. So it would take more money. If they cant go all out with it then they wont do it.

So this was a last minute decision that noone at the park knew until Jeff made it public? And that Maureen was not in "training" to replace Jeff? Not trying to argue, but that is how I was taking it and when I started seeing her on the news and not Jeff, I was thinking to myself, "where is Jeff?" or "is Maureen taking his place or are they partners?" But if you are soo certain it is not true, then I will let it be. Jeff was there this morning as well. They were taking turns with each station. There was several things going on this morning so they were split. Trust me Jeff was doing his share of talking too

I remember working that. It was some show. I have soo many memories from just those few weeks they were there. All the performers were nice too.

Ok so yes... everyone had a long line on sat. i think we have come to that understanding. yes the wait for most of them was long. i think we all know that now, ok as for the scares maybe at the point when you went though some of the performers were on break. i am sorry that you did not get scared, but not everyone does. as for winterfest i would not judge it just yet. i know it seems expensive but i think it would be worth it. i know i will be there to see it at least once. there will be lots of entertainment and ice skating and many things to see and experience. i say give it a chance but if you dont want to waste your money and think it will be a waste just dont go. Just read other people's trip reports on here and see what you are missing out on.

for your information I feel as though the creeper manager does an excellent job for the crew that they are given. And no, that manager does not train them on how to slide it is someone who is experienced in the "creeper field". There are just some performers who are not good at group scares but are good at other things, and sometimes for saftey reasons the creepers cannot slide and are told perform in a different way which might not make them as scary yet it still scares some people.

^ Now, are you working at FearFest this year? If not, then don't insult. You probably didn't realize this, but COTC was one of the more popular mazes and the longest running maze of FearFest (2000 and 2001 was Revenge of the Mummy). If the other members of the COTC crew read what you put, expect a rude awakening; every one of us worked our asses off every single night, and only nine of us (out of a starting 24) held COTC together the last weekend. Seems as if a majority of members here respect that 'cept you. Actually PsychoPath does work there this year. KI is trying, and as for the Usher they are doing what they are told to do. They are told how many to group and how fast. Last weekend was packed so they were trying to get as many through as possible to keep the lines down. I think Ki has out done themselves this year for FF. They are normally very well staffed. Yes sometimes the houses may be short performers but that happens everywhere. As for COTC I have worked that maze and you know i did hear complaints so it was not one of the most popular. It did have its problems (like all mazes do. It is not one of the longest running mazes because if it was it would still be open! Dont go off thinking that COTC is the best because there have been other mazes that have worked with only having 9 performers. I am not here to cause fights i am just here to point out the truth and set people straight. So forgive me if the truth hurts but eh that happens
