  1. Actually, it is not hard at all, and is done every off season. Yes, they may take the trains apart every year but it does require additional modification to change the direction of a train.
  2. Backwards. Boy, I just can't wait to get back on that thing next season.
  3. The CF parks don't rate rides on how "scary" they are. I talked to a ride op at express and asked him why they changed the ride rating and he told me that Cedar Fair's ride rating system is an exact science. I would imagine there is a list of questions such as "Does the ride make sharp unexpected turns or changes in speed?" and they add up all of the "yes's" and base their ride ratings accordingly. Cedar Fair is a very smart company, and most of the changes implemented are there to improve the ride's safety... at least on paper... which in turn significantly lowers the insurance rates. They know what they're doing. So yes... I firmly believe that AE should get a 5 and Drop Zone should be a 3. Regardless of how "scary" those rides are... it's an accurate representation of the ride experience. Drop zone goes up and down.. express has a lot of neck breaking turns. And do you guys think it's stupid that scooby doo and the haunted castle have all 5 medical restrictions this year? I don't. I think it's stupid that they didn't before. Riders have to walk on and off of a moving turn table... if a pregnant woman fell and hurt her baby it would be incredibly easy for her to sue KI for a large amount of money.. because last year it said NOTHING about pregnant women. What an obvious thing to be overlooked.
  4. Yeah.. I really don't like the idea. SOB could have been a good ride. They should have focused more on air time. What a waste of wood.
  5. I know exactly what those trains are for. I heard it straight from the horse's mouth. Not everything needs to be so "hush hush" in this industry.. there are some things that really don't matter. So I'm dying to know why Maureen hasn't just said " Th*s* t***ns *re f*r **B." But think about it.. 1.)What ride needs new trains? 2.) What ride are they dying to open? 3.) What ride did PTC tell KI they couldn't design trains for "IN TIME". (in time? as in.. soon?) Man oh Man.
  6. I think it's safe to count... The different scenery makes it feel like a different ride. There's really no rule governing this.. I would even count a rollback on TTD as a different ride. But i'ts really up to you.. not PKIDelirium. (Unless he has some rule book that I don't know about)
  7. Eh, I think that the park will go ahead with it. Most of the employees know what the new attraction is anyway. I guess we'll find out for sure tomorrow. And if nothing else, it will boost park morale. "Oh how neat! We know something before the general public!"
  8. Who said they weren't going to make the announcement at the employee party??
