  1. Epcot has a lot going for it, but some of the attractions need to go. For example, look up the youtube video for Captain Eo and realize that it is still an operating attraction.
  2. Anything by The Cars or The Police. Or anything off of the album Under the Table and Dreaming by Dave Matthews Band.
  3. Reminds me of Robocop, which I believe came out the same year.
  4. CoasterRZ's brother works in the pool area and had some pretty amazing pictures of all the fish became trapped in Sunlite Pool after it was drained. Kind of sad, but still awesome.
  5. My Grandpa was a hydrologist and predicted river levels and would've loved this. Coney Island used to call him up to ask if there was going to be any problems. They'd offer him free tickets for his service, but he'd always turn them down since he worked for the government and technically wasn't supposed to receive gifts. My mom and my aunts and uncles would get pretty upset at that. From what I've been told, a flood like this would be hard to happen again with the dams and what not. It wouldn't take much, though, to cause Coney extensive damage. Here's some pictures I took from the flood at Coney last year. ... and a fake old one that I made that I think looks kind of cool
  6. It seems like the car pulled in and has its lights aimed at the person. Why else would it pull in at that angle? To maybe see someone that trespassed? Does anyone know if KI has security cameras that are monitored throughout the park? Otherwise it would seem unlikely that the person were caught, unless there's a lot of patrol cars driving around.
  7. This is good because kids would be 48" tall and could ride the rides that required that height, but then they'd go over to the Twister and be <48" with their shoes off. I've heard this caused a few problems for the lifeguards.
  8. Do you people not see this!? It's not exactly the same but too close to ignore.
  9. I don't think it's been mention but while chatting with coasterRZ I realized it looks a bit like the silly band. Any relation?
  10. I don't think it's a course for a road race. It's in the woods and according to runthere.com, the loop is approximately 1.25 miles which would make for a killer 5k, much less a 10k.
  11. Somebody has access to Wikipedia... Seriously though, anyone can sue for anything. And I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that he's suing Disney.
  12. If his particular problem could be set off by stress, I think It's a Small World was an incredibly awful choice in rides. And I believe at Coney we technically aren't supposed to lift a guest in or out of the ride, although it happens all the time with the little kids. The fact that this guy has a problem that can be set off by stress is the reason he should not have ridden, not because he's in a wheelchair.
  13. I guess that's supposed to be Yogi Bear. Kind of scary though.
  14. You missed out. It's excellent, despite not being the newest thing ever. I was just referencing how the line (with the fake trees and night and everything) reminds me of Austin City Limits.
  15. I had a dream i was playing baseball for a team coached by Steve Martin and the field was the front entrance by the fountain. I was first base but instead of a glove i had to use a spaghetti strainer. First base was by the bathrooms and third was all the way over by the keyhole photo booth
  16. Hits: Diamondback- it brought people to the park, right? The Beast The Son of Beast- Was closing it for the past season just to cover their butts? The Diamondback 5k and Beast 10k- I heard it was ran poorly the year prior but under Don Connoly it was a very nice race. I will definitely be running again next year if they do it. One of the funner road races. Attempt to bring back better live entertainment. I think it'll get there. Halloween Haunt Misses: Loss of theming. It doesn't have to be extreme, but there should international music on International Street. Basically, it should be to the point where people feel like they're actually going into different sections, like Oktoberfest, Rivertown, et cetera. The Son of Beast's tiny seats Expensive food The Hangar on Flight of Fear. The walls are disgusting in there. Removal of Antique Cars Destruction of The Beast's lineage- Fairly Odd Coaster??? It's Peanuts now, but still. It might be under a contract or something but I wish they could make an exception
  17. I'll admit, there are a few shady workers at the park at which I work, but you'll get that anywhere. She obviously feels the need to bring herself up by painting theme park workers as nonentities. I'd feel bad too if I got stuck with the job of writing about teenage and college workers while aspiring to write cover stories and achieve the bohemian lifestyle so many condescending journalists seem to want. Keyword being condescending.
