  1. I have an easy question for a lot of you but, I have never been to Islands Of Adventure and am going last week of March. Is there enough to do at Universal to spend three or four days?? I am going to Magic Kingdom with family on Sunday but, have tickets for rest of week at Universal. I honestly have no idea if there will be enough to keep 3 kids ages 12, 12 ,8, and rest of family entertained. Hope so but, open to other options. Staying with family in Orlando area. Been to Disney many times and Busch Gardens but, some how have not been to Universal since Studios opening year. Your suggestions are welcome and needed. Thanks
  2. I think it sounds like a reasonable progression. It also would possibly help to attract help also. You would be hiring people for year round. Full-times jobs are sometimes easier to fill then part-time. You would still need seasonal help but, most jobs like reastaurant help and custodial would be able to be full-time. We are talking way down the road but, who knows...
  3. You could have an Inverted in a building themed to a bat flying through a dark damp cave. Waterfalls and such. Sort of like flying through tunnels on beast except the whole ride is in a tunnel.
  4. A couple of indoor rides would be a great idea. Not sure what that might be but, we have creative thinking people on her maybe someone has an idea or two. I do agree a putt-putt is not a top priority but, if it was put in an area with other pay-to-play attraction it would do well. Challenge park at Cedar Point always has a busy putt-putt course.
  5. I have come to find out that source may not be correct. Therefore I should not repeat what I can not verify. I think that would be better than saying something that could be wrong.
  6. You are correct! I meant build another coaster that gives a ride similar to Voyage.
  7. The last topic got a little rattled when, I quoted a questionable source. After talking to a couple members I agree I might have been fooled. Now this is a new topic. The ten things you would most like to see added to Kings Island. Be creative and detailed if possible. I will start be giving 10 things. 1.--Camp Snoopy to replace F/X theatre 2.--Ferris Wheel anywhere 3.--Intamin Coaster similar but longer than Millinium Force 4.--Lots of flowers and nice scenary with trees 5.--Second lazy river so that you could stay in until you wanted to get out versus one time around like now 6.--B&M Inverted 7.--Bring the Eagles back or build new one 8.--Skyride 9.--Out-And-Back Wooden Coaster similar to Voyage 10.-Nice reasonably priced restaurant that is not a franchise There I have both apoligized for speaking what I thought was right and started a new topic that could give some of the great creative minds on here a chance to impress us all.
  8. Older maps and photos of my boys on coasters each year. Makes them really special.
  9. You know the source I told you. So if you do not want info out just say it. I did not mean to start a war but, I must have said something right or you would just let it go....
  10. Back to what this topic was really about. Would anyone else like to tell what they would do to help improve park over next five years?
  11. Because, he said they would and he goes to OHIO, INDIANA, PENNSYLVANIA, VIRGINIA and I think WEST VIRGINIA. Maybe more but those are places he talked about. We also talked about someone who lived in my hometown who he knew at Busch Gardens in Florida.
  12. Why do you think I talked to him so much after he told me his job.
  13. He works for B&M and his job is to go around and ride coaster and report on there quality.
  14. I just believed the guy. He seemed to have the knowledge to back it up. He worked for a very reputable company.
  15. I just was trying to say the gentleman was right so maybe he is right again.
  16. I told you what he said. Either he told lie and turned out to be right or he made lucky guess. He did tell me though. If you do not believe me that is your right but, DO NOT call me liar for telling truth. I take that personnel, my integrity is not debatable.
  17. He knew that was most likely option and said it was that or total rebuild.
  18. we could wish but, that is not coaster he talked about.
  19. Be prepared Cedar Fair is planning some great things for Kings Island and B&M are actively looking at a project. Source last summer told me LOOP was going to be taken down. He also said what other coaster was to be replaced but, I hope we can save it. Let's try and coax Cedar Fair not to remove any more rides just to put in a new one. This park could and should have a larger foot print. Have an open mind and who knows better things may just happen.
  20. Great trip report. When I used to work at Disney I would go to EPCOT and just enjoy the feel of other countries. Also EPCOT stands for one other thing (Every Person Comes Out Tired). Great to hear people enjoying the wonders that Disney has to offer.
  21. It seems a lot of people would like a coaster like or bigger than Millenium Force. I agree it would be great but, I hope it would be like Milli not Top Thrill Dragster. A long people moving coaster seems like the better choice. It would be great with all the terrain that Kings Island could offer to explore. I also would like a coaster that is similar to Voyage. Who knows maybe someday we will be lucky enough to have both. There's always dreaming anyways.
  22. WOW!!! This is a very diverse and forward thinking group. Everyone seems to agree on three points. Those points are keep rides diversified, so that there is an appeal to all segments of the demographic groups and an upgrade in the level of food offerings needs to happen. We all, also seem to agree beautification of the park is very important as in painting, flowers and trees. If we keep pushing and letting the ideas flow someone, may just hear us..
  23. I hope they take great care to bring back the beauty that the Park has been lacking in the last couple of years.
