  1. It might seem short, but what other flyer flies by a waterfall, manta ray tank and has a wing dip in the water And the fact that it flies out over the midway will make it exciting as well.
  2. Some additional great pictures can be seen here: http://www.johnnyupsidedown.com/manta0.html Track is about 60-70% complete. Word is that track work will be finished soon. That is one beautiful ride.
  3. You might not need it though. Looking at the event agenda, you're going to get ERT on the coasters, and VIP seating for the big show. During the day the lines for the rides will be minimal so it's up to you whether you'd want to spend the money for the Q-Bot. If you do decide to get one, make sure you get it early. Last year, they let us get to the QBot booth right after morning ERT, and before the park opened. They sell out quickly.
  4. Lines for the shows are pretty long. The ride lines weren't that long from what I remember last year. They actually have several different shows, including the Polar Express 4D. I'm sure mom will enjoy all the Christmas decorations. Also, be sure to take the train ride. It's a must do at Dollywood.
  5. Have fun Jackson. I went to that event last year. It's a lot of fun. Pack warm clothes though. That forecast for 62 can change before then. I wish I was going this year, but other things are preventing me from making it. Be sure to see the Christmas shows as well.
  6. I'm not sure what you saw, but the line for TTD was never at an hour all weekend. For a good portion of the day on Sunday it was less than 30 minutes. Two trains? They were running the normal 5 trains. And that was green train that had a bad restraint in row 3. It was a great closing weekend, although a little cold. Ended with the final public train on Dragster.
  7. All the blog said was that it "will stand close to 200 ft". I would guess the last supports that are up are at the 200 ft mark, but the track hasn't made it up that far yet. Can't wait to see that lift hill capped off.
  8. Great way to celebrate Beast's 30th birthday! I wish I could get back before the end of the season to take some more pics. Glad I got some in August when I was there last.
  9. How well I remember that one DVO I've had 2 more in the last month, putting my rollback count at 20!
  10. ^^ Not sure when you last processed a pass at Cedar Point, but it was much improved last year. They have more cameras now, and since your picture isn't printed on the pass, you don't have to wait for it to be printed.
  11. That is the 7th hill, the one following the mid-course break.
  12. All of the summer shows were great. Not sure if I'll make it back down to see the Haunt shows. County Line was my favorite though.
  13. Not in the treetops yet. That last piece that was installed is on the return track.
  14. ^^ Yeah, the finally got that piece in. Took them nearly all day to do it though.
  15. Dueling Dragons, Hulk and Spider-Man should be at the top of the list. Poseidon's Fury if you have the time. I'm guessing a Thursday in October shouldn't be too busy. Have fun!
  16. Actually that is the highest support. Look at the pictures again. This is the support that will connect to the crest of the lift hill. The one that will be in the flower pot is shorter.
  17. According to Landry's CEO, Boardwalk Bullet sustained minimal damage. The rest of the boardwalk is a different story. Landry's takes hard punches from Ike
  18. Of course they all have somewhat the same format, they're all done by the same person, or group of people. They all look nice too!
  19. Awesome TR and pics angrybeaver. Glad you had fun. Sunday was one of the best days I've had at CP. Being Passholder Appreciation day, we got the extra hour in the morning on Raptor, but the extra hour at night on Magnum was awesome! So much fun. Also, after a few rides during the first hour ERT on Raptor, we headed to Dragster (even though it wouldn't open til noon with the park), and waited outside the entrance, hoping for a rollback. The waiting paid off. We were in the first train and got our rollback! The rest of the day was perfect. Short lines, perfect weather, good friends.
  20. I think he might be friends or family of one of the performers. I also saw him doing the same thing in the County Line show when I was there earlier this summer. He's pretty good!
  21. But Sunday is when they've invited all of the current passholders to The Point for a Passholder Appreciation Day. Perfect time to get them all to renew for next year And for anyone else at the park on Sunday that isn't a pass holder, they'll see the benefits that are being enjoyed by the passholders, and get theirs for next year.
