  1. Yeah, I know that's kinda sad but I don't think I've been since they put that in... only as a wee lad. I highly recommend Disneyland. Everything is top notch. The only thing I noticed is that it does seem kinda crammed since they have a lot of rides. For example, the walk from the entrance of Indiana Jones to the actual station is about 1000? I remember counting it because it's ridiculously long but that was like 5 years ago. But I suggest if you can wait till they finish the renovation of DCA. It should be amazing. How do you add those green thumbnails on Google Maps? I think you have to have a Google Account. Signing up is simple and easy and everything you get for free is amazing. If you have a Google Account all you do is go to maps.google.com and click My Maps and then go from there...
  2. I'm pretty sure it was. And I guess the people also didn't realize they could procrastinate more because a season pass is good for one time admission with the bar code. So technically you could enter and then come back later when the line is shorter.
  3. Map of all the roller coasters I have been on... http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&amp...amp;t=h&z=5 I want to go to: Disneyland Paris, Disneyland Tokyo, Tokyo DisneySea, Universal Florida/IOA, SFMM, both Busch Gardens, SFGA, and Hersheypark
  4. It's like looking into the eyes of God and Him smiling back and saying, "You are my greatest creation."
  5. I agree completely. FoF and Firehawk draw enough crowds to deserve their own rest rooms back there instead of having to walk to either end of Coney Mall.
  6. But those are on the other side of the splashdown from where the Diamondback entrance, right?
  7. Do you remember if he said it would still be $15 per person?
  8. I am there as well. The postmark is about 2 minutes old.
  9. I'm glad to see that they're redoing Wings. I like buffets but the one time I went there the food seemed like it was sitting out forever and the place just felt dirty. I wonder what type of restaurant Rivertown Junction will be.
  10. thats the chain lift hill Very right part of the picture...
  11. At Busch Gardens Williamsburg errrr.... excuse me Europe, when you ride on the Rhine River Cruise and you go by Apollo's Chariot and it is going through its turn around you can hear the roar of it so i am sure Diamondback will have some roar to. If only it would slither...... Given it's close proximity to Vortex, and rumors surrounding that, I half expect your last work that ended in an "s" to be "sink". Should we start that rumor up or wait a couple years? I mean it was built on a lake...
  12. Makes sense to me... New Blog Post: Diamondback roars through initial test runs February 26, 2009 The moment all of us at Kings Island had been anxiously waiting for happened this afternoon as the first test run of Diamondback took place. The train, filled with a Water Dummy in each of the 32 seats, began its climb up the 230-foot lift at 4:41pm, rising above the park, above the trees. It roared down the 215-foot first drop at 74-degree angle, and made its way through vertical drops of 193, 131, 129, 110 and 106 feet; two helixes and the splashdown ending (without water) before stopping on the break run outside the station. The ride worked the way it was supposed to the first time! The sound of the ride was amazing! You can feel the power of this 5,282-foot monster as you stand and watch it from the midway. We told you we'd have the ride ready for testing by March! - Don Helbig
  13. I think we definitely need to have a mini-KIC meet at Diamondback.
  14. Yeah, I guess they've never really assigned a specific time for the auction rides. But if they want a big media event, I don't know what they'd do... Good point, I do see what you mean. Though I do hope there will be some ERT for opening day. And I'm pretty sure there will be a Media Day, I would Guess It's Friday, but I don't know. I guess we'll have to wait and see. They still have yet to release the Gold Pass Benefits
  15. Yeah, I guess they've never really assigned a specific time for the auction rides. But if they want a big media event, I don't know what they'd do...
  16. Where does it say there will be ERT the first day?
  17. Yeah I'm pretty sure they want to have a huge grand opening with the media and everything and how is that going to happen if they have ERT? Plus I see people spending the night at the gate or at least attempting to. And the auction does say the winners get "a special gift from the park" so my guess was a t-shirt but I don't know. So my guess is if you want the first ride, my guess is try to find $2700.
  18. Random Out-of-town-guest-planning-a-visit: "Who the Heck is that Guy?" LOL! I though someone photoshoped this. I didn't realize that they actually added this to the home page! Yeah, it does look like some one on here would've put that on the Photoshop thread but it's real.
  19. This is not Photoshop-ed or anything but here's KI's main page right now...
  20. I learned about that at the 2007 KIC event. My brother and I actually sat by him during the Endless Summer on Ice show and had a small conversation with him. He is a very knowledgeable, passionate, and approachable guy. He is definitely doing what he loves and he is, IMO, doing a heck of a job.
  21. I have a strong feeling that 2009 will be a year that none of us will ever forget.
  22. I saw Captain Nemo all the time last year working The Beast. He's good people. I've seen Ryan and Dane and CoastersRZ (sorry but I don't think I actually know your real name) walking around the park before. Blurry Photographic Evidence ala Bigfoot: Hopefully I will be seeing at lot of you at opening day and Ride Warriors.
