  1. remember all the rides names will also be changing that are paramount related
  2. i don't have pics but the construction is not for a new ride
  3. The Vortex thinks now? Man these machines are getting smarter. LOL! oops guess i should proof read...sinking...sorry i'm dyslexic at times...lol
  4. okay so for those of you people that think The Vortex is sinking...I'm an area supervisor in the games department and well when a train is going down the hill and up the hill...well stand by the support that goes kinda next to the midway across from IJ:ST...it moves up and down...I actually discovered this while standing next to a trash can watching my 3PT challenge basketball game...the post moves up and don a couple inches...kinda interesting
  5. wasn't dinsey quest in other cities such as chicago???
  6. it is not a broken motherboard...if it were I would think it would'be been fixed by now...and I know it isn't that anyways
  7. I think that's funny thanks for the pic as I got to see the list and on it is Mark Boyer which for those of you don't know is the director of games and merchandise and thus my boss...lol...I'm so going to pick on him now...lol thanks for the laughs
  8. remember it's private property they can kick out whomever they want for whatever reason they want to...it's not a public property
  9. To make a long story short and save a lot of technical terms, Delirium was not installed correctly. Nothing was wrong with the ride itself. Where did you hear that it was installed incorrectly??? From my understanding a part broke and you could hear a really loud grinding noise when it went down for the summer. The part was a part that's not supposed to break and it had to be remade in Germany and was quite an expensive part to break...atleast a million from my understanding
  10. well its unfortunate that he knew what he was really doing and i guess good all at the same time that you got in on tape and then found out that this person is no longer working for the park as he shouldn't be after that disgusting outburst. And I do agree it is a nice little park I went I think 3 years ago with a few fellow management members of the games department and we enjoyed the park...Although I do remember the queues being very tight and only 1 train running on raven and legend which got kinda frustrating. Holiday world is not my favorite park in the world but i plan on going back this summer to catch a ride on voyage as i've yet to ride it...and I think the only reason they really get such good publicity about guest service is the fact that they offer free drinks and parking as well there employee's aren't much better than any other parks...but as i said before most amusement parks with the exception of the orlando's have teenagers as employees and therefore will have more problems...but again i'm not saying they're all bad as I was a 15 year old employee at one time and have now been there 8 years and I would like to consider myself as good of a line associate at 15 as I am now as a manager, just have more experience and what not...
  11. thanks for the link and i looked at the videos...I must admit I thought that they were great video's SHOWCASING the park...I don't get how anyone could think it's biased against it that's for sure. I think it showed all the good things about the park and as for the 2 bad ones...well roller coasters always get stuck it's going to happen...although starting it while the associate was on the walk is a huge mistake...and the spitting scene...well it almost looked like he was getting sick, and unfortunately if you record associates at other parks including ki and cp you will see that happen as well. Anyways who was this park employee that sent you an e-mail and did they really bash you for saying it was defaming them or something??? sounds kinda interesting and well I think it shows a lot of respect for them not showing that e-mail to us although i'm sure everyone is interested in reading it now...lol...anyways good video documentary
  12. i'm planning on going up tomorrow evening to ride Firehawk as it may be one of my only chances to ride it this summer as I'm always working and can never get a day off from Mr. Island...lol jk but yeah how many trains are they running right now??? still only one and how long have the waits been during the week this week
  13. Don't get me wrong, the point of the videos is not to showcase how "awful" the park may be. We went to showcase our day at the park. We made it a mini-documentary. We showed our day at the park, good and bad. Now on the video, there is much more good than bad. Sure, we happened to get 2-3 incidents on tape that would be considered "bad", but look at all of the other fun things we experienced that day. I went into editing that video with one goal: showcase our day. I had no agenda to make it look awesome, or make it look bad. I am just upset that the park would get so upset at the video. I had no agenda to make the park look bad, just show what happened to us and what we saw that day. If it wasn't for this recent incident, I would still gladly call Holiday World my fav park. where is this video at...is there a link???
  14. thus my point even more clear...14 to me is wayyyyyyyyy to young to be working at an amusement park where prices are growing and thus guest satisfaction is expected to be at such a high quality...not to say that all youngen's are bad because some of the best employees can be 15 year olds at KI...and I'm not saying that we expect less out of our associates because they're high schoolers with the exception to a few...but we expect the best out of everyone and I assure you do our best to offer a quality experience all the time...cuz like the HW PR lady said bad impressions last longer and farther than good impressions unfortunately
  15. it doesn't matter how much you tell associates not all of them are going to listen...and not all of them are going to be perfect associates...especially with Kings Island where most of your line staff are high school aged kids
  16. what do you mean you used to love skyline??? skyline is meat and you're a vegetarian???and i'd imagine it'd be hard to find something to eat if your a vegetarian at any amustement park...although they do have funnel cakes...and panda express now so i'd imagine they have some rice and pastas there now for a better non-meat selection
  17. I like those! uhm how about we just stick with the original name for congo falls...amazon falls...and how about just plain stunt track...and also we're forgetting other rides too...what about face/off???
  18. it really doesn't take too too long to install just 2 peices of track...i remember watching them lay down the first pieces of track while unloading a truck in the plush barn and well it didn't take long...later in the week it seemed like half the track was up
  19. where on earth does one get all this info...so i google searched the style number and well it returned me to a site where i could buy the cd for $7.77...seems like it would be quite the investment for KI to disbandon the organ and upkeep costs for only $7.77 and then sell the songs...wow what a rip off i wish they kept the organ...oh well
  20. It was full last Saturday. I hope they didn't take out too much of FoF's line, becuase Saturday the line was outside the ques, and the area was even more crowded from people wanting to check out Firehawk. I understand that part of that midway was blocked off, but hopefully that isn't a sign of some major overcrowding in the future, especially with lockers and a smaller que for FoF. Also I'm glad lockers were put in, but if its true that absolutely NO loose articals can be brought in line, I hope that that the lockers are free for the first hour or so like they are at some of the Universal Orlando rides, as someone as said before. If not, for some guests, Firehawk in a way would be a pay as you play ride, to an extent. if i remember correctly at carowinds you had to put your stuff in lockers but you got your quarters back when you were finished so it was essentially free...just a hassle to take the extra time to put all your stuff in and lose some places in line...tell me if i'm wrong about the getting quarters back but that is what i thought i can't remember for sure...
  21. ahhhh but did you ask if all the rides would be open??? even if one ride is open technically speaking the area is operating...but i would say expect some attractions to be closed till 4 when the third shift arrives from getting out of school...and even then you never know how many people are going to "call in"
  22. I will be there at 8 too but I'll be working all day till midnight...lol...anyways the parking lot opens at 9 and the gates open at 9:30, and the park opens at 10:00...whether it will change this weekend due to there probably being masses of people there in the morning who knows.
  23. I'm not really sure if he's taken a picture of it or not as he is working and i'm not sure if they were testing i just asked him to check out and see how many trains were on the track...take it for what you want but i tend to believe him...and as far as testing goes he did say he heard a new siren going off in the park the other day for the first time several times but did not see them actually testing them
  24. according to cewldre from this site...there are 3 trains on the track as of 11:30 this morning...2 in the station and one on the maintanence track near the lift hill...he is unloading a truck in our warehouse which is literally about 20 feet from the ride itself
  25. Again it's not Viacom that didn't want the Paramount Parks...It was CBS corp which for whatever reason acquired them. I don't know why the Split Paramount Parks from Viacom which retained Nickelodeon, and Paramount Studios which are/were the two major parts of paramount parks...i guess CBS Corp demanded them knowing they could/were going to sell the parks for a handsome 1.24 billion
