  1. I'm so jelious. I was suspsose to go on Wednesday to ride it, but it aint going to happen now. :( Maybe by the end of June or Mid-June just depending on what my doctor tells me.

Dude that sucks. I'm going in June and I hope the lines aren't too crazy. What did you hurt, your back? I thought that's what you said. Here's to a speedy recovery, and tons of rides afterwards.

  2. Yeah, I just never understood the Ft. Cooper and still don't understand the Ft. Kinzel. So much for a bit of modesty. I'd more support something Like Ft. Cincinatus or something.

Yeah, or maybe Ft. Kenton, or Ft. Mason, or something along those lines.

  3. Hey all. I guess Firehawk is pretty good eh? I'm wondering if there are any crazy restrictions on height. ie you must be under a certain height. I'm 6'5" so if I can't even ride it, I don't want to waste my time. The only way I can ride Delirium is if I take my shoes off, what difference that makes, I dont' know. I didn't see anything on the PKI site, but I thought I would check with those who rode it yesterday. Thanks in advance.

  4. I dont care about your figures, if they are right or wrong, because the Eurobungee does receive low ridership and isnt worth the space it occupies. Once again MuteDarkness you make anotehr worthless addition. Thank you

The area of Coney Mall running from Eurobungee to the old Lazer Tag building is dead. Something needs to be done and a new flat or atleast a relocated flat would be great.

    Bring back the Flying Eagles.

  5. Was Ft. Kinzel always called that? For whatever reason, I seem to remember it being called Ft. Lewis or something when FOF first opened. I could be wrong, and I probably am, but I just was wondering.

  6. Here goes,

I've been going to KI for around 20 years. Does anybody out there remember the "Flying Shoes?" They were located, I think, in the general area of King Cobra / Delirium. There were yellow and orange shoes, shaped like wooden shoes from Holland or Denmark or such, and one color would fly out further than the rest. Like I said, this question is for the "Old Timers". Anyway, I loved those shoes. To me, as a 7-9 year old, there was nothing better.

  7. If it's gone, that's too bad. The carousel truly was a piece of history. I didn't think that CBS/Viacom was that bad in terms of KI, but the more I read....

I think that we're gonna find out more and more of how Paramount/CBS/Viacom did the park wrong.

It's funny that you say that. For a few years, I actually staged my own, personal "boycott" of KI. This is directly after FOF got new restraints. I did go back in July of last year, and I really had a great time. I just didn't care for how the park was being run, and the attitudes of people involved, etc... I was absolutely ecstatic to hear that CF bought the park. I now have so much hope and enthusiasm. I stopped buying season passes, but now, I'm really excited to get one, maybe not this year, but I can't wait. It seems from what I'm reading on here, that CF is really trying to turn the park around, which they should, in my opinion. It would only benefit CF to have a strong park in KI.

  8. If FoF ever goes back to OTSR's I will not ride it again. The head banging was terrible and for me it turned into almost a totally different ride when they switched the restraints.

Trains cost around a million dollars each and I doubt Cedar Fair is willing to spend that much money to give people more leg room so a larger percentage of the population can fit.

SOB is getting new trains (well retrofitting old trains from another park) so I believe you might not have any problems on that when it reopens later this year.

I do like that SOB is getting new trains, if that's true. I only rode it once because my knees got killed when I did ride it. That would be sweet. It seems like a pretty fun ride, but I don't remember much from all the pain. HAHAHA..

  9. I am pretty sure both KI and KD will not go back to the OTSR's for FOF. I understand your frustrations as I am 6'3" and my knees take a beating trying to latch down the lap bar. The problem is that Paramount retro-fitted the trains, that were designed to have OTSR's, with lap bars. The floor space in those original trains were not meant to handle a lap restraint mechanism of this type. They did the best they could with what they had at the time. Maybe, in the furture, Cedar Fair will fund the money to buy new trains that were designed for lap restaints from the start.

I don't have any problem with the lap bars in the IJST coaster and those lap restraints are exactly the same as used on the FOF. I think there is more spacing between the seat and the base of the lap bars as well as the bucket seats being deeper on the IJST trains than those on the FOF. This combination allows me to stretch my legs out further and allowing me to drop my knees down.

I know it's unlikely, but I'd like to see the same restraints as on Millenium Force. To me, those are pretty good restraints.

  10. It won't happen, sorry. The changed to lap bars for a reason. Now do you have a problem with fitting at all or getting the belt to buckle?

I can't get my knees under the bar no matter what I try. It sucks. I really loved that ride. I can however, ride the Italian Job with no problems. It may be an issue of space as one poster noted. Maybe if I try the front car?? What do you think?

    Thanks.

  11. Hi all. I'm new here. I was just wondering, would CF/KI ever consider going back to the over the shoulder restraints for FOF? I used to love that ride, but now I can't fit in there. I'm 6'5", and I'm unable to get my knees to go under the lap bar. I know the shoulder restraints caused a bit of "headbang", but as it is now, I can't ride it. I also have the same problem for SOB. I know it's not likely, but it would be appreciated by the tall folks out there. Is that something that could happen, or not? Thanks for your time.
